11/15/08 Smackdown Dirt Sheet: The Extreme Dark Knight

Saturday, November 15, 2008, 05:39 PM EST [General]

Yes, the title is true: "Extreme Dark Knight". Who are me and Rob talking about? Here is the answer:

"With Survivor Series just 8 days away, Jeff Hardy was still on a rampage, causing major disruption among several superstars. At the start of last night's Smackdown, The Undertaker emerged from the casket that was laying in the middle of the ring. After he was done addressing The Big Show in regards to the Casket match that he and The Big Show are going to have at Survivor Series, Jeff Hardy came on the titantron, in what looked to me like something from the movie, The Dark Knight. This new look of Hardy's goes with his reckless insanity. Before his Extreme Rules match against The Undertaker, he interrupted a contract signing between Vladamir Kozlov and the WWE Champion, Triple H, when he attacked Kozlov, sending him through the table and tearing the contract right in The Game's face. Then he had his Extreme Rules match against The Undertaker. As the 2 were seemingly to be reaching the climax in their brutal match, The Big Show charged to the ring, and Chokeslammed The Undertaker, and caught Hardy while he was in mid-air, before The Undertaker nailed The Big Show from behind with a chair. But while The Deadman's attention was on The Big Show, Jeff Hardy used the same chair and attacked The Undertaker from behind, and it paved the way for him to hurl himself off the top turnbuckle over the top of a ladder and nailing The Undertaker with a hard-hitting Leg Drop, and getting the win over The Deadman. Next week, Jeff Hardy will once again face Triple H, and if Hardy wins, the WWE Championship match will be a Triple Threat. And with the way that Jeff Hardy has been lately, I would just stay out of the way, and let him do what he has to do."
My thoughts: Man, Jeff's really taking his evil turn to extremes, literally. I definently think he was channeling his inner Heath Ledger in that Joker getup. That is one man I don't want to mess with, especially after the roll he's on lately. The match between The Game and the Extreme Dark Knight is gonna be quite a show-stealer, and I'm kinda torn as to who's gonna win, but it should be quite a match.

"Jeff's Brother, the ECW Champion Matt Hardy, coming off a successful title defense this past Tuesday Night against Finlay, took on the United Staes Champion Shelton Benjamin. This was an intense, hard-fought match between these 2, but it was the Twist Of Fate from out of nowhere onto the Gold Standard, giving Matt Hardy the victory. All I can say for Matt Hardy is, impressive as always."
My thoughts: What a week that Matt's had, huh? Two incredibly hard-fought matches with a title defense, and a win against the United States Champion definently makes for one hell of a week. Now if he can get Jeff under a little control.

"Then, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Carlito took on The Brian Kendrick. Carlito had the match in his favor until he was distracted by the attack of his brother Primo by Kendrick's bodyguard, Ezekial Jackson allowing Kendrick to nail Carlito with The Kendrick and score the pinfall. There is no stopping The Brian Kendrick as long as Ezekial Jackson is around."
My thoughts: Well, I guess with former partner Paul London no longer in the WWE, Kendrick is now more fully focused than ever, and I expect more bigger things from him in the future, or maybe if WWE can bring back the Cruiserweight title, Kendrick would be a top contender.

"Then MVP, who so desperately wants his incentive, was up against Kung Fu Naki. And thanks to the interference of The Great Khali, causing the former United States Champion to be distracted, allowing Funaki to nail MVP with a Chain Kick, giving him the win, and after he was knocked out by the Punjabi Playboy, it was time once again for the Khali Kiss Cam, but with a twist. After MVP was nailed for a second time with a 2 handed chokeslam, Khali allowed this British Bulldog, and oh, was she a Bulldog-- to be kissed by MVP. I'm sure that Khali would love to take her out to a nice ALPO dinner."
My thoughts: Why the heck does Khali want to kiss women who don't look like the Divas or somewhat? Anywho, I'm glad MVP got into the action this time instead of Khali. MVP and Khali are definently at odds, and I bet at Survivor Series in that team match, we may see some more fireworks. Congrats go out to Kung Fu Naki as well for takin' out MVP again, and as for MVP's team, they're in trouble, because with MVP's losing streak, they don't have a ghost of a chance to win.

"Then in a match for the WWE Divas Championship, my girl Michelle McCool defended the Divas Championship against Maria. Maria had the match in her favor until Jesse and Festus came to ringside to watch this match up close.McCool successfully retained her title when she utilized a painful submission hold. But when the bell rang, Festus morphed into his fightin' side and charged into the ring going after McCool, realizing that Maria had been hurt. But McCool quickly ran to safety. After McCool went back to the dressing room, Festus gave Maria a toy teddy bear. I'm sure that the engagment ring that he buys her would come out of a 25-cent machine."
My thoughts: Oh, that Festus. Once again the soft spot in his heart takes over, but this time he almost hurt Michelle McCool in the process. Thank goodness that didn't happen. First a flower, than a Mariachi band, and now a toy bear? What will he think of next?

That's it for Smackdown's Dirt Sheet, but I'll see you tomorrow, and a little early too for my Top 50 countdown!:D

11/12/08 ECW Dirt Sheet: No luck of the Irish

Wednesday, November 12, 2008, 07:16 PM EST [General]

Here's my second blog, the ECW Dirt sheet from the U.K!

"All irish eyes were on the prize last night in England, the prize being the ECW Championship, as Finlay challenged Matt Hardy for that championship. Last week, Finlay warned the man who will not die that he will be in for the fight of his life. No doubt about it, this was one of the biggest matches of his career. Finlay had Hardy at his mercy,.but Hardy began to fight back when he nailed Finlay with a Side Effect, then goes for the pin, and gets only a 2 Count. Hardy goes for a second Side Effect, and again gets a 2 count. As the match was progessing along, there was exhaustion in both men's faces. It was non-stop all the way. Finlay came close so many times to becoming the new ECW Champion, but in the end, it was Hardy nailing the Twist of Fate from out of nowhere to get the win, and retain the ECW Championship. This was an epic battle if there ever was one. My hat goes off to both men."
My thoughts: My hat goes off to both men as well, for perhaps ECW's most exciting match of 2008 by far. I tell you, WWE in the UK this week has brought us some epic matches, such as the Last Man Standing match last Monday between Shawn Micheals and Chris Jericho. I wonder if this Friday night on Smackdown, we'll see another match of the year contender.

"I'm sure that Mark Henry was in the locker room paying close attention to this match. Henry was still angry over not winning the number 1 contender spot last week. Henry proved once again that he is a force to be reckoned with in the ECW brand, as he made quick work of local competitor Oliver Biney. After the match was over, Todd Grisham asked Henry who he wanted to win the ECW Championship match. Henry's response was a lot of heavy breathing, and Henry shaking his head and walking away."
My thoughts:  Man, I don't know what Todd Grisham was thinking trying to ask Mark Henry about who would win the ECW title match, but I'm glad he didn't get pummeled by Henry. I tell you, with Matt Hardy still ECW champion, Matt still remains a target for Mark Henry, and I have the feeling that we will see Henry and Hardy once again go at it in perhaps another classic showdown. Otherwise, we may see The World's Strongest Man singlehandedly try to destroy ECW.

"Then in a 6 man Tag match, The All American American Jack Swagger teamed up with The Miz and John Morrison to take on Tommy Dreamer and Cryme Tyme. This match has got payback all over it, as Dreamer was looking for payback from Swagger when he was insulting Dreamer and his family last week. Cryme Tyme I'm sure, wanted to get revenge over The Miz and Morriosn for their loss at Cyber Sunday. There was a lot of great teamwork between Swagger and The Miz and Morrison, but when JTG tagged in Dreamer, he cleans house until Swagger came in from behind, and attacks Dreamer, sending him out of the ring.  Then he nails Shad with his Gutwrench Power Bomb, but Dreamer comes in and nails Swagger with a DDT.  But it was John Morrison who nails Dreamer with the Moonlight Drive, and scores the pinfall for his team.  I've got to admit, it was a very impressive victory for Jack Swagger,The Miz and John Morrison.  During that match, I also detected a meaner streak in the Miz and John Morrison. This was probably brought out last Monday on Raw, when they faced DX."
My thoughts: I detected that too. I tell you, Miz and Morrison have really picked up their game since losing to DX last Monday, and I bet you they have a renewed vigor to prove that they are the number one team in the WWE today.

Well, I'll see you all later with another of my fun blogs!:D

11/11/08 Raw Dirt Sheet: Union Jacked

Tuesday, November 11, 2008, 07:28 PM EST [General]

Well, another week is here, and let's get to dishin' the dirt!

"Last night, Monday night Raw was over in the UK, as Batista at the start of Raw, was hoping to get a rematch against Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship. But Stephanie McMahon came on the screen, and denied The Animal his rematch, since Jericho will be facing John Cena at Survivor Series for the World Heayweight Championship. Stephanie put Chris Jericho in a Last Man Standing match against Shawn Micheals, putting an end to one of the most bitter feuds in WWE history. And as part of his gameplan, Jericho did not want to fight fair, as he was assisted by none other than John Bradshaw Layfield, who was eager to do damage to Micheals, but was unsuccessful. Then HBK nails Jericho with some Sweet Chin Music, but shortly after that, Micheals was nailed from behind with a chair by JBL. Jericho was back on his feet before the 10 Count, but HBK wasn't, making Jericho the winner of the match. What a grueling match this was, and I think that HBK made Jericho easy pickings for John Cena at Survivor Series, as long as JBL stays out of the way."
My thoughts: I tell you, what a way to end perhaps the most brutal, and most emotional feud of all time in my book. The match was definently match of the night, and I was pretty surprised that neither man was bleeding at the end of the encounter. The highlight of the match for me was when HBK delivered a brutal elbow on Jericho from on top of a ladder, and broke the announcer's table. Definently one of the best matches in RAW history.

"Another feud that came to an end last night was Kane against Rey Mysterio in a No DQ match. These two have never been given such freedom to do whatever they want to one another, but in the end, it was the speed and ingenuity of Mysterio that came out on top as Mysterio got the pinfall over Kane."
My thoughts: Talk about two birds with one stone, huh? This was definently the best match I've seen from this feud, and I'm glad Rey once again proved that you're never too small to topple the big men like Kane.

"Santino Marella faced William Regal in Regal's native homeland of the UK for the Interconinental Championship. Marella had his Honk-a-Perfect-Mountie Meter, and was still bragging about how he will become the greatest Intercontinental Champion of 'all the times'. But it was a hard-hitting kick to the temple by Regal onto Santino, making William Regal the new Intercontinental Champion. As a result of this, Santino was on the phone with Shane Mcmahon trying to talk to him, and he may have upset McMahon, when he put Santino's girlfriend, Beth Phoenix in a match against Mickie James for the WWE Women's Championship. The Glamazon brought some glory back to Glamarella, when she beat Mickie James to retain her title. With William Regal being the new Intercontinental Champion, I think that he will defend his title with a lot more pride and dignity than Santino EVER had."
My thoughts: I bet he indeed will. And thank god, we no longer have to put up with Santino's bragging about how he's the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, and that damn Honk-A-Meter, or Honk-A-Perfect-Mountie meter, or whatever the hell it's called anymore. And I thought it was gonna be a clean sweep of losses for Glamarella, because as I recall, Mickie James earlier this year beat The Glamazon in England for the Women's Title. However, Beth Phoenix still is the champ, and you know what? I guess can jinxes can be broken, thanks to The Glamazon.

"Then Mike Knox had his first match on Raw, when he took on D'Lo Brown. From what I understand, the ECW locker room was very happy when he came to Raw. Knox steamrolled over Brown, making it perfectly clear that the force that he was at ECW will be a stronger force on Raw."
My thoughts: He definently will. And the one person that comes to mind when I think of Mike Knox being the newest member of the RAW roster, is Kelly Kelly, and in the past how Mike Knox was treating Kelly. I hope we don't see part two of the whole saga, or otherwise there's gonna be an angry mob of male fans wanting to rip the 260-pound meatheaded leviathan apart.

"It was originally going to be Randy Orton vs.Batista, but as Orton was getting ready for his match, he was confronted in the locker room by Cody Rhodes and Manu, in regards as to what Orton did to their partner Ted Dibiase. They told Orton that he wasn't going to get away with what he did to their partner last week, and Orton calls Dibiase a weak link. Then as Orton was getting ready to face Batista, Cody Rhodes comes out and takes his place and 'shows him how it is done.' But it was The Animal Batista, who nails Rhodes with the Batista Bomb and gets the win, then he spears Manu with Orton looking on up the ramp. My friend Jake calls these guys the new Evolution. I've got a feeling that somewhere down the line, that we may see it all come together."
My thoughts: Indeed we might. After all, despite Orton's methods of breaking in Rhodes, Manu and DiBiase, I bet they could learn from those "mistakes" that they've made and could one day be in full force with Orton.

Well, before I go, here's my review for Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 as promised. It definently is a vast improvement from last year's game, and I gotta say, I had a blast playing this for the first time last night. The commentary is way better than last year's, which is another improvement, because for some reason, I always didn't think the commentary from last year's game was that good. The announcers didn't call any moves, but this year, they fixed it, so that's always a good thing. The gameplay is quite a bit faster than this year's game, and it kinda surprised me, because I'm used to the almost realistic-like gameplay from last year, but I got used to it in time. The create-a-finisher mode surpassed even my wildest expectations, with some awesome move modifications. The first move I did was called "Chaos Theory", in which I give my opponent a double-underhook suplex followed by a Pedigree. I got some more crazy ideas for moves I'm gonna unleash in the future, and I hope my opponents are ready! I've already unlocked half of the unlockable content, which includes Ric Flair, Tazz, Saturday Night's Main Event, and there's still more to go. I think I got the Gauntlet Match, the WCW Title, the Masked Man and Tony, whoever they are, and even a special Jeep entrance! I can't wait to see the Jeep entrance, when I get it. I previewed the Road To Wrestlemania last night with Batista and Rey Mysterio, and it enjoyed it quite frankly. I think tonight, I'll try out Road To Wrestlemania as Chris Jericho, so I can find out who is puttin' up that TERMINATE JERICHO video. Believe it or not, my first match on SDVR09 was when I was Kofi Kingston defending the Intercontinental Title against Santino Marella. I gotta admit, it took a while to get used to the Signature Move controls, but like I said, I got used to it. And I definently took full advantage of the roster control mode, and updated it with who's the current champions, and changing their fighting ways. Overall, the game is awesome, and I can highly recommend it for anyone who wants to play it. And to all of those who say the game sucks, that's their opinion, and everyone's entitled to it.

Also, I want to wish the best of luck to Kenny Dykstra, Elijah Burke, and Lena Yada, as they were the latest people to be cut from the WWE. And yet another wrestler from Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 is released. The curse continues!

    See you all tomorrow!

11/8/08 Smackdown Dirt Sheet: Takin' it to the extreme

Saturday, November 8, 2008, 07:56 PM EST [General]

Hey, everyone! Here is the long-awaited Dirt Sheet:

"Jeff Hardy has been coming close to winning the WWE Championship time after time, and if you were Jeff Hardy, you would have to ask, 'What would it take to get another title shot and actually win the WWE Championship?' Jeff Hardy made it clear to the WWE Universe and to Smackdown General Manager Vickie Guererro, that he will do whatever it takes to get another title shot. Last night, he teamed up with the WWE Champion Triple H, to take on The Miz and John Morrison. He was tagged in by The Game, but Hardy refused to tag out. When Triple H saw that Hardy was unable to score a pinfall, The Game came to his aid. Then all of a sudden, Hardy snapped and grabbed a chair, causing him and The Game to get disqualified, as he swung at The Miz and Morrison. Then later on,  Jeff Hardy went on to interfere in the main event between The Undertaker and Vladamir Kozlov, causing The Undertaker to get disqualified, giving Kozlov a title shot at the WWE Championship at Survivor Series. After the bell, the already gone psycho Hardy was dancing with death as he smashed The Underatker over the head as well. As a result of this, next week on Smackdown, it will be Jeff Hardy against The Undertaker in an Extreme Rules Match. I think what people like MVP, Triple H and Vickie Guererro are telling Hardy is that he has been walking in his brother Matt's shadow, and it is time to see the light."
My thoughts: I tell you, I seriously hope Jeff Hardy isn't gonna go into a heel run, because I think that might hurt his popularity with WWE fans, as awkward as that sounds. I just hope it's not another Jeff Hardy heel run circa 2003. I can hope this time Vickie can do the right thing for once and get Jeff another shot at the title, and hopefully he can win.

"Speaking of MVP, his VIP Lounge was interrupted by The Great Khali, and the Khali Kiss cam. MVP did not want to stick around for this, but was standing outside the ring watching The Great Khali kiss 2 more ugly dogs that probably never had their rabies shots. I mean, TNA's Awesome Kong would look hot standing next to these 2 bow wow's. My advice to anyone who sees them in a bar-- should they ask you to buy them a drink, don't go to bed after that, because it could give you nightmares. MVP had a match against The Punjabi Playboy, after MVP returned to his VIP Lounge to get a few shots in. A vengeful Khali chokeslammed the Ballin' superstar who has been on a bad losing streak as of late. The Punjabi Playboy earned a victory over MVP, leaving him once again one victory short of his incentive bonus. If he doesn't win a match by Survivor Series, then he will have to pay back his multi-million dollar bonus that he got from his earlier contract."
My thoughts: Let me tell you, MVP's losing streak is almost laughable at best. It almost seems like any opponent MVP has, he's bound to lose. Hell, he's been beaten by small guys like Kung Fu Naki and big guys like The Great Khali these past few weeks. MVP needs to get his butt in gear and win, or otherwise, he's just gonna be broke, in more ways than one.

"Then in Divas action, either Brie or Nikki Bella took on Victoria. After she beat Victoria with a surprise cradle, she once again went under the ring, and both Victoria and Natalya pulled her out from different places. Or so we thought. We saw the Bella sisters for the first time, when beth Brie and Nikki did double-team moves almost in stereo on both Victoria and Natalya. Check out WWE.com tomorrow for a special photo shoot with The Bella Sisters, and I'm sure that you will get double the pleasure from watching them, right, Jake?"
My thoughts: Double the pleasure is right, Rob! I have been waiting a long time to see the Bella Sisters unite to take out Divas like Victoria and Natalya. And I believe I'm not the only one who's gettin' double the pleasure out of the Bella Sisters' photoshoots tomorrow. I bet you Primo and Carlito are too-- LOL Now, that's cool!

"Then, R-Truth faced Shelton Benjamin for the United States Chanpionship. It was a hard fought match between these 2, but in the end, it was PayDirt, meaning payday for the Gold Standard. Don't count R-Truth out yet-- the day will come when there is some gold around his waist."
My thoughts: Man, somehow the Gold Standard somehow keeps the US title around his waist. I gotta wonder who's next for Shelton Benjamin down the road, if he keeps up this incredible run as United States Champion.

"Then, The Brian Kendrick wanted revenge from Jimmy Wang Yang, when he beat Kendrick last week by DQ. This time, Jimmy Wang Yang went up against Kendrick's stooge, Ezekial Jackson. Jackson won the match when he manhandled the Asian Redneck, being ruthless and hurling him over to the canvas for the pin. After the match was over, Jimmy Wang Yang fell victim to The Kendrick."
My thoughts: Talk about your revenge, huh? Ezekial Jackson may be Kendrick's stooge, but he's literally the strongest stooge I've seen since Bam Neely-- LOL

Also, before I wrap up this Dirt Sheet, I want to say good luck to Super Crazy, Chuck Palumbo, and The Brian Kendrick's former partner, Paul London in their future endeavors out of the WWE, because as I learned on WWE.com earlier this week, they are no longer part of the WWE roster. And the odd thing is-- they're characters from Smackdown vs. Raw 2009! I guess the curse of the outdated rosters continues to live on-- LOL. The list of no longer in WWE characters in the game now includes-- Ashley, Trevor Murdoch, Big Daddy V, Super Crazy, Chuck Palumbo, and now Paul London. Don't worry, I'm still gonna play London and Kendrick when the game comes out, and I get it. It's coming to my Movie Gallery tomorrow, and I'm plannin' on rentin' it on Monday. I'll let you know what I thought of it in a future blog, so keep your eyes open for that.

    See you all later!:D
