    3/8/09 Smackdown Dirt Sheet

Saturday, March 7, 2009, 07:53 PM EST [General]

You know, I think that today's Dirt Sheet just might be the most jam-packed one yet! Without further ado, let's get right down to it:

"As the Road to Wrestlemania continues, the tension throughtout the WWE continues to intensify. Here's what I mean.

"In a huge main event last night on Friday Night Smackdown, the WWE Champion, Triple H, faced the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga, in a non-title match in which HHH won by disqualification, when Randy Orton and his Legacy cohorts, Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes, surrounded the ring when the Game had Umaga at his mercy.

"Orton set a stipulation last Monday Night on Raw in which the Game is not allowed to touch him in anyway, shape or form until Wrestlemania, unless he was provoked.

"Once the Legacy moved in the ring, the Game launched a fierce counter offensive as he was trying to hold off the Legacy members, but Dibiase, Rhodes and Orton finished off the 13-time World Champion with 4 hard-hitting kicks to the head, leaving Triple H in the ring motionless.

"My friend Tommie messaged his thoughts on this match at Wrestlemania, and I would like to share them with you all.

'"Okay, let's fast forward to Wrestlemania, and we find out the HHH/Orton match is a No DQ match as ordered by the McMahons as a whole. So Orton and HHH are going back and forth, and at 1 crucial point, HHH gets the upper edge on Randy. Near the final moments, or so to speak, and the Legacy comes out, and the Game takes care of them for the time being, but they get a second wind alongside Orton, and a 3 on 1 beatdown occurs and the ref gets knocked out. So Shane comes down with a Sledgehammer, and scares Dibiase and Rhodes, and Randy sees Shane and damn near has a cardiac arrest. So HHH gets a second wind, sees Shane with the hammer and asks to use it, but out of nowhere, Shane decks Triple H with it, causing Randy Orton to win the WWE title.'

"Very good observation on your part, Tommie, but I will say this, if the McMahons order this match a No DQ, they have to first convince Triple H that this would be done in his favor, wanting Triple H to hurt Orton every which way possible.

"And should Shane screw Triple H out of the WWE Title, and a Steph/Randy alliance should form, the next night on Raw, Steph would tell Triple H stuff like, you didn't get here in time to stop Randy Orton from giving the RKO, or for that matter, would say something like, you should have got here in time to stop me from fighting Orton.

"I am, of course making reference to the Unsanctioned fight that Orton and Shane had on Raw the night after No Way Out.

"Based upon everything that has happened, the ending of the HHH/Orton match could come close to how the Triple H/Mr. McMahon match ended at Armageddon 1999.

"I'll be keeping a close eye on this one at Wrestlemania 25."
My thoughts: I gotta tell you, this could bound to be Wrestlemania's most emotionally charged match since HBK/Flair at last year's Wrestlemania. If the Orton/HHH match is a No DQ match, I bet that these two are gonna rip each other apart limb by limb, but we could see the McMahons play an integral part during that showdown.

"While we are on the subject, it was the official contract signing between Edge and the Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship.

"Edge wasn't happy about facing the Big Show at Wrestlemania, as Edge was demanding to know the truth about his wife, Vickie Guererro's relationship with the Big Show. After a heated exchange of words between the 2, it looked like  the match was going to be official, until John Cena made an appearence, laying waste to both superstars. Cena whispered something in Guererro's ear that shook her up.

"Later that night, a very upset Guererro told her husband that the contract signing will take place this Monday night on Raw. I've got a feeling that this match is going to be a Triple Threat match.

'Watch Vickie Guererro pull out all the stops to make sure Edge is still the World Heavyweight Champion at  Wrestlemania."
My thoughts: Hoo boy, news of a Triple Threat World title match doesn't surprise me with Cena getting screwed out of the WWE title last Monday night. But I gotta wonder what Cena whispered into Vickie's ear. Did Cena do something to her nephew, Chavo? I guess we'll have to find out on RAW this Monday.

"In the first Money in the Bank Qualifying match, it was Matt Hardy taking on MVP. Prior to the match, Matt mentioned that his brother, Jeff, didn't want to face him and vowed that he will go to Wrestlemania and win the Money in the Bank match.

"However, Matt's opponent, MVP's winning streak continued as he countered his Twist of Fate to score the win, and a place in the Money in the Bank Ladder match."
My thoughts: You know, somehow I knew that MVP would win the match, because of his winning streak, and the emotions running through the brothers' Hardy at this point.

"The Second Money in the Bank qualifying match pitted Matt's brother, Jeff against the United States Champion, Shelton Benjamin. Jeff lost this match by disqualification when Matt calmly stepped in the ring and took a shot to the Gold Standard.

"Hey, Jeff, I see that your brother screwed you again. Don't you think that it's time to get some payback for what he has been doing to you? I'm looking forward to seeing that match at Wrestlemania, and I do hope that does trump the Bret/Owen feud back in 1994."
My thoughts: My thoughts exactly. We could see Hardy vs. Hardy after all at Wrestlemania at the rate this rivalry is going. I can only hope both sides are willing to participate.

"In Divas action, the WWE Divas Champion, Maryse, saw action in a non-title match against my newest crush, Eve Torres. Former Divas Champion, Michelle McCool was joining Tazz and Jim Ross at the announce table.

"Unfortunately for me, Eve lost the match when Maryse nailed her with the French Kiss DDT.

"After the match was over, the WWE Women's Champion, Melina made an appearence on Friday Night Smackdown, getting some payback from Maryse for attacking her last Monday night on Raw.

"The former Divas Champion slid into the ring however, and laid out both champions.

"This is something that I would like to see happen to Michelle McCool. Give her one more match against Maryse and let her become the WWE Divas Champion for the second time.

"If not, then let her get drafted to Raw on April 13th, and feud with Melina and let her become the WWE Women's Champion."
My thoughts: Those are two pretty good ideas, I think. Or even better, maybe there's a possibilty that perhaps we could see either a Triple Threat or Fatal 4 Way match with the two champions getting in the ring with either Michelle McCool and Beth Phoenix.

"Then the Undertaker came out at the start of last night's Smackdown and addressed the WWE Universe about his 16-0 record at Wrestlemania and how he accepts the challenge from Shawn Micheals.

"The Undertaker talking about his 16-0  record convinces me more than ever that Shawn Micheals will end his undefeated streak at Wrestlemania."
My thoughts: With all that hype, I'm wondering if Taker-HBK is gonna be a lot like HBK's epic match against the Nature Boy last year. I know, I know, I keep talking about that match, because I think it's one of the best I've seen.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this edition of the Dirt Sheet, and I'll see you all on tomorrow's edition!

    3/4/09 ECW Dirt Sheet

Wednesday, March 4, 2009, 07:55 PM EST [General]

It seems that the Jack Swagger-Christian rivalry is still at full boil. Here's Rob and I with more on the situation, plus many more:

"The Road to Wrestlemania made an unpredictable turn last night through the Land of Extreme.

"Last night on ECW, we saw yet another 10-star main event, as the ECW Champion, Jack Swagger, teamed up with the World Tag Team Champions, the Miz and John Morrison, to take on Tommy Dreamer, Finlay and Christian.

"Swagger was coming off a huge victory over Christian last week in one hell of an intense match. Swagger was going to finish off Dreamer, but was caught. Dreamer tried to make the tag, but Morrison pulls him away. Dreamer kicks Morrison, and tags in Christian, and goes to work on Morrison.

"As the 2 were battling, Morrison shoves Christian into Finlay and knocks him off the ring apron, Christian tries to finish off Morrison, but the Miz made the save and gets nailed for his trouble.

"Christian and John Morrison continue to battle, then he nails Morrison with a DDT off the top rope. Christian goes after Swagger and Tommy Dreamer gets involved from outside. Then Christian nails Morrison with a headbutt off the top rope, goes for the cover, and the Miz makes the save.

"Finlay comes in and sends the Miz outside the ring and Finlay follows. Morrison went for the Moonlight Drive, but Swagger had himself tagged in, and nails Christian with the Gutwrench Power Bomb to get the win.

"Swagger gets another shot of confidence, but how much longer can it last?"
My thoughts: If you're Christian, possibly not very long. I think it's just a matter of time before Captain Charisma closes in on the ECW Championship, and takes all the "Swagga" out of Jack Swagger.

"In a Money in the Bank qualifying match, it was the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry, against Santino Marella.

"Before the match got started, Santino was comparing his body to Henry's body in humorous like fashion, but Henry was not amused at all.

"Henry played with the outmatched Marella. Henry shut the Never-at-a-Loss For Words Superstar's mouth, and nails him with The World's Strongest Slam to get the win and a spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder match.

"This match was easy pickens for Henry with a 165 pound weight difference between he and Santino."
My thoughts: Well, that was quite a surprise to see Santino, the Glamazon, and Rosa Mendez on ECW last night.  And it's also no surprise to me to see Mark Henry in the Money in the Bank Ladder match as well. Now I'm just hoping we can get some more high-flyers as well like Kofi Kingston, or maybe the Brian Kendrick per any chance.

"In Divas action, the Beyonce of the WWE, Alicia Fox took on Natalya. Even though Fox gave it a vailant effort in her second match on ECW, she couldn't overcome Natalya as she made her submit with the dreaded family Sharpshooter.

"After the match was over, Tyson Kidd attacked DJ Gabriel when he was tending to Fox, but Gabriel answered nack with a European Uppercut that sent Kidd packing.

"We could see DJ Gabriel vs Tyson Kidd next week on ECW."
My thoughts: I was thinking the exact same thing. We all know DJ and Alicia have had a rivalry with the Burchills last month, so we can definently expect a DJ and Alicia/Tyson and Natalya war for March.

"In a match that is just as scary as Kane's movie, See No Evil, which by the way will be airing this Saturday night at 9 on SCI-FI, Kane saw action against the Man from the Bottomless Pit, The Boogeyman.

"At the start of the match, the Boogeyman offered Kane some worms, but he dropped them, and nailed the Boogeyman with a hard-hitting uppercut, sending him to the canvas.

"In the end, as the Boogeyman hurled himself from the top rope, tasting the worms of victory, Kane caught him by the throat and nailed him with a hard-hitting Chokeslam to get the win.

A convincing win coming just one day after capturing a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match."
My thoughts: I never, ever thought that we would see a Kane/Boogeyman match, but we saw it, and I was sure Boogeyman could have won that match. At least we now have found another monster the Boogeyman can't defeat easily-- including Big Daddy V-- LOL

Hope you enjoyed this edition of the Dirt Sheet, and I'll see you all later for more!:D

    3/2/09 RAW Dirt Sheet

Wednesday, March 4, 2009, 07:54 PM EST [General]

Wasn't RAW last night crazy? For more, here's Rob and I with the recap:

"Wrestlemania 25 is just only 33 days away, and the Road to Wrestlemania made a stop in Boston, where it hosted Wrestlemania back in 1998 in Which Stone Cold Steve Austin became WWE Champion.

"Randy Orton, who won the Royal Rumble back in January of this year, arrived in Boston with a whole host of people, including his Legacy, a group of doctors, lawyers, and some security, defied the expectations of the WWE Universe when he said that he wants to challenge the winner of Edge/Cena at Wrestlemania for the World Heavyweight Championship.

"The reason for that, is because he wanted to press charges on the WWE Champion, Triple H, for his sledgehammer assault last week.

"Triple H entered the ring telling the Legend Killer that he doesn't have what it takes to face him, calling him gutless for refusing to challenge him. This is an act that the Game says that Orton desperatly wants to commit.

"Orton gives in to the pressure and changes his mind, and challenges Triple H at Wrestlemania for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania, as long as the Game doesn't touch Orton before then, because if Triple H does, Orton will proceed with the charges. The Game agreed. However, Orton told the King of Kings how good it felt when he nailed his wife Stephanie McMahon with the RKO.

"Triple H kept his agreement and tells Randy Orton that when they meet at Wrestlemania, he'll break Orton's neck.

"I don't know about you guys, but if you ask me, this storyline is getting hotter by the week, and by the time Wrestlemania gets here, it could be beyond any volcanic eruption."
My thoughts: Ooh, those "restraining order" rivalries, huh? I can't wait to see where this is gonna go from here, because of Triple H's boiling rage towards Orton. Because of this, I bet you Orton's Legacy won't be safe from the wrath of the Game, and his trusty sledgehammer.

"Speaking of the World Heavyweight Championship, John Cena did get his rematch as he challenged Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship.

"Even though Cena suffered a brutal beating at the hands of the Big Show last Friday night on Smackdown, he was in rare form.

"Cena took the fight to Edge with a lot of intensity. Edge saw that Cena was on the verge of beating him for the title, so what does he do? He gets himself disqualified by taking the Championship Belt and nailing Cena with it.

"Edge sat on the stage thinking that he was safe, however, his 'wife', Vickie Guererro, came out after the Big Show, made an appearence, stating that at Wrestlemania 25, the Big Show will face Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship.

"Here's how I look at it-- Cena is going to face Edge at Wrestlemania, and that match from last night was a taste of what's going to happen at Wrestlemania.

"The WWE just made this storyline even more interesting. I predict that Cena will be back on Smackdown this Friday night in a rematch against the Big Show, in which John Cena will win, and Cena ends up facing Edge at Wrestlemania."
My thoughts: To say the least, I was bummed that Cena wasn't able to take the WWE title in his own hometown of Boston, where he won the title back at Survivor Series last year. But with Vickie adding the Big Show to the mix, I can bet you Edge has a lot to deal with, believe you me. Hey, no one said that married life was easy, huh, Edge?

"Shawn Micheals had his work cut out for him when he went up against the undefeated Moscow Mauler, Vladimir Kozlov. The winner of this match was to face the Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

"Kozlov had the momentum going into this match due to his win over the Undertaker last Friday night.

"Micheals came back after he was nailed by Kozlov's Battering Ram, as he nailed the Moscow Mauler with some Sweet Chin Music to end his undefeated streak.

"HBK's celebration was cut short when the Undertaker arrived, and made a bone-chilling gesture to the Heartbreak Kid."
My thoughts: Well, my prediction was right saying that it will be HBK vs. the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Mr. Wrestlemania vs. the Phenom of Wrestlemania himself should be match of the year, just like his show-stopping match with the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair last year at Wrestlemania 24. And it looks like I was wrong on saying Kozlov's undefeated streak ended at No Way Out. His singles undefeated streak is now over, and Kozlov for the first time in my opinion seems mortal.

"In a Money in the Bank qualifying Triple Threat match, Rey Mysterio faced Mike Knox and Kane.

"It was every man for himself in this one. Mysterio was ready to nail Knox with the 619, but was cut off by Kane, who tried to chokeslam him, then Mysterio countered and nails Kane with the 619. Mysterio was ready to finish him off, but was cut off by Knox. Knox tried to finish off Mysterio, but was cut off by Kane, who nailed Knox with the chokeslam to get the win."
My thoughts: The Big Red Monster now in the Money in the Bank match is kinda no surprise to me, because I think that what the Money in the Bank match needed this year in my opinion, is a mix of high-flyers, big men, and men somewhere in between. I wonder if we're gonna see any MITB qualifying matches on ECW and Smackdown?

"Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Funks, and Ricky ''The Dragon'' Steamboat are the latest members in the class of 2009 WWE Hall of Fame. You can now add a man who rivaled the great Bruno Sammartino in the WWE, then known as the WWWF in the late 60's, in Cowboy Bill Watts. Watts is also known for running the Mid-South Wrestling promotion, that introduced Jim Ross, the Junkyard Dog, Ted Dibiase and many others.

"Congrats to Cowboy Bill Watts on being inducted into the WWE Hall of  Fame."
My thoughts: I remember Bill Watts for him being in WCW for a time, and there is no doubt that he definently deserves to be in the hall of fame for his incredible work in WWE, WCW, Mid-South Wrestling, and the WWWF. And with Jim Ross inducting his good friend in the hall of fame, it definently makes it more worth it.

"Speaking of the Hall of Fame, Chris Jericho once again continues to trash talk the WWE Legends. This time, he recreated a confrontation from Piper's Pit when Rowdy Roddy Piper busted a coconut over the head of Jimmy ''Superfly'' Snuka.

"Jericho's arrogance got the better of him, as Snuka grabbed a coconut and threatened Jericho with it, as he chased him from the set. As Snuka was receiving adulation from the WWE Universe, Jericho came through the Piper's Pit set, taking a belt to Snuka.

"I heard that if Mickey Rourke doesn't face Jericho at Wrestlemania, then it's going to be Hulk Hogan."
My thoughts: Thanks for the update, Rob! Either way, I'm definently gonna like this match at Wrestlemania. However, one thing that was in my mind during Jericho's attack on Snuka-- "Where the hell is Sim Snuka when you need him?" Sim Snuka is the son of the Superfly after all, so why didn't the WWE send him out to gain revenge on Jericho? I guess WWE is laying him off a little bit after the attack from the Legacy. Not to complain, but I hope Sim Snuka comes back to RAW soon.

"I saved the best for last, as in Divas action, two of the most sexiest Divas in the WWE, Mickie James and Kelly Kelly took on Beth Phoenix and Jillian.

"Sitting at ringside was the WWE Women's Champion, Melina, and the Divas Champion, Maryse.

"In spite of the Glamazon's awesome power, it was Kelly Kelly who scored the win for her team when she pinned Jillian.

"After the match was over, Beth and Jillian started a brawl with their opponents. As Melina was coming into the ring, Maryse pulled her off the ring apron and nails her with a vicious DDT."
My thoughts: You know, I got a funny feeling that we may see a Women's Champion vs. Divas Champion match at Wrestlemania between Melina and Maryse, after seeing the confrontation between Divas. I just can't wait to see who will come out on top of that showdown.

See you all tomorrow with the ECW Dirt Sheet!:D
