Alright, everyone. First things first. The reason for no blogs the past couple of days was because there was a fire over in Hallowell, so the internet was down, including here in Augusta. So, I'm now gonna try to catch up here on some blogs. The first being the RAW Dirt Sheet. I'll get to the ECW Dirt Sheet tomorrow, but for now, here's today's installment:
"Vince McMahon has bought back Monday Night Raw and you have to wonder if he was going to do what Donald Trump did last week, during the commerical free Raw and that's give everybody in San Jose a refund.
"Unfortunetly not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"But he did do a couple of things that was mastered by Trump last week. One of them was the 15 superstar trade.
Superstars That Moved To Raw:
Jack Swagger
Mark Henry
Evan Bourne
Alicia Fox
Gail Kim
"McMahon even went ahead with a series of special guest hosts, and guest hosting Raw last night was the Animal, Batista.
"The Animal's first order of business is a 4 man tournament to determine who would face Randy Orton at the Night Of Champions for the WWE Championship.
"The first match was Triple H, who came off a hell of a brutal match this past Sunday at the Bash, took on MVP who has been having a lot of momentum since coming to Raw.
"MVP saw that Triple H was still suffering after a brutal match at the Bash and does a number on the Game's leg. MVP had to have been watching that 3 Stages of Hell match knowing that Triple H was still feeling the effects after that, because for MVP, if he could get by someone like the Game and face Randy Orton at Night Of Champions, what a huge jump for MVP it would be career wise.
'But despite a valiant effort from MVP and the Game's injuries, Triple H managed to nail MVP with the Pedigree to get the win and advance in the tournament.
"The next match in the tournament was I would consider to be a rematch from the Bash as John Cena took on the Miz.
"For the chick magnet, an actual victory over Cena would not only bring him one step closer to some gold in the singles ranks, but some revenge for his loss this past Sunday.
"The Miz can back up at times just about anything he says, in fact the Miz does sort of remind me of John Cena back during his days as the Doctor of Thuganomics. Last night on Raw despite his impressive showing against Cena, the Miz was feeling Deja Vu as Cena comes back and locks the STFU on the Miz to get the win.
"So next week it will be Triple H vs John Cena and the winner will face Randy Orton at the Night of Champions for the WWE Championship.
"Now let's go back in time here:
"Triple H met John Cena at Wrestlemania 22 and John Cena beats him to win his first WWE Championship.
"Triple H met John Cena at last year's Night Of Champions and Triple H beats Cena to erase that loss at Wrestlemania 22.
"So I guess that it is safe to say that next week's match between Cena and the Game would be considered the rubber match.
"Batista wasn't done yet, because he put Randy Orton in a 3 on 1 Gauntlet match, just to give him a dose of his own medicine, and if either Ted Dibiase or Cody Rhodes try to interfere, they will be fired on the spot.
"Orton's 3 opponents are 3 people that were traded to Raw from ECW.
"First, it was Evan Bourne who lost when Orton RKO'd him from the top rope to get the win.
"Second, it was Jack Swagger. The WWE Universe thought for sure that Swagger was going to give Orton a really good run for the money, but instead he makes a quick exit allowing Orton to win by a count out.
"His third match was against the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry, who to wanted to make a first impression on Raw, but his impression was entirely different from what Swagger did.
"Henry was almost counted out but instead was back in the ring and really made an impression when he took advantage of Orton's injuries from the 3 Stages of Hell match and nailed him with the World's Strongest Slam to get the win.
"In their first title defense as the new Unified World Tag Team Champions, Edge and Chris Jericho were to defend against former champs Carlito and Primo.
'Edge went for the Spear on Carlito but his brother made him trip so Edge would miss, while being distracted by Primo. Carlito nalis him with the Backstabber, goes for the cover and only gets 2 as Jericho made the save.
"Primo sends Jericho outside the ring and Primo follows as he was incoming, shall we say. Carlito went to finish off Edge, but due to an accidental trip by Primo, Edge nails Carlito with the Spear to get the win, and he and Jericho retains the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship.
"The United States Champion had a huge challenge ahead of him, even though it was a non-title match when he took on the 485-pound Big Show who had an over 250 pound weight advantage over Kingston, so his high flying moves were going to play a huge part in this match.
"Kingston did use every trick in the book in order to get past the Big Show, but no winner was declared as this match ended in a double-count out.
"Once again I'm saving the best for last as it was a Fatal 4 way Divas match with the winner facing Maryse at the Night of Champions for the Divas Championship.
THE 4 DIVAS COMPETING WERE:
Mickie James
Kelly Kelly
Rosa Mendes
Beth Phoenix
"Maryse was sitting at the announce table watching closely and she was hoping that she wouldn't have to face Mickie James, because it has been said that she is afraid of her.
"She also said that she would love to face Kelly Kelly.
"Unfortunatly for Maryse, it was Mickie James who won the match and she will face Maryse at the Night Of Champions for the Divas Championship."
Well, there you go! I'll have the ECW recap up tomorrow as I said, and I will later today try to post a new VGV episode, so be on the look out for it!
