    11/25/09 ECW Dirt Sheet

Wednesday, November 25, 2009, 06:42 PM EST [General]

"Let's go back to a couple of weeks on ECW when Zack Ryder first laid eyes on Rosa Mendes. Boy, was Ryder nailed in the heart with Cupid's arrow. Then, when she was the guest ring announcer for his match against Shelton Benjamin. Ryder was distracted by how beautiful Mendes looked, and to tell the truth, who can really blame him? That distraction led to Ryder's loss to Benjamin for the first time. Then, 1 week later on WWE Superstars, Ryder and Benjamin had a rematch, and this time, thanks to a distraction by Mendes, Ryder loses again to the Gold Standard by a countout. It led me to think that she has been nothing but bad luck for Ryder.

"Last week on ECW, Ryder challenged the Gold Standard to yet another rematch that took place the following Thursday, and just when I thought that Ryder was going to strike out when Rosa tossed her cell phone in the ring and then her coming in the ring after that, which really should have resulted in Ryder getting disqualified. But instead, it was the Gold Standard getting distracted and Ryder ended up winning the match.

"Last night on ECW, Ryder had a chance to even things up in this developing rivalry. This match went a lot better than their past matches, and the reason for it being so is because ECW General Manager Tiffany promised Benjamin that if he wins again over Ryder, then he would get a shot at the ECW Championship.

"So when the match got started, Benjamin got right down to business as only the Gold Standard can do whenever he finds out that he could a number one contender for any major championship. During this, I was wondering what was Rosa going to do to help Ryder out this time. I will admit that after last Thursday's win over Benjamin, it made me realize that Rosa could be a good luck charm.

"Ryder was taking a lot of time, but nails the Gold Standard with a splash off the top rope. Ryder thought that he had the Gold Standard, but only got a 2 count, which Ryder was left in a state of disbelief. Ryder and Benjamin were at the point of exhaustion as they were exchanging rights and lefts.

"Benjamin got real mad and asked Ryder to hit him harder. That had to have been his second wind. He has to be thinking about his possible ECW Championship match at this point. And Ryder was in one tough spot. Benjamin finishes off Ryder with some Paydirt and gets the win.

"Shelton Benjamin gets to face Christian for the ECW Championship and Christian came out during the Gold Standard's celebration and told him at the last 2 PPV's, the ECW Championship was overlooked and that in 3 weeks, there was going to be a new PPV. And I'm making reference to T.L.C-- Tables Ladders and Chairs. Christian didn't want to compete in just a regular title match. Christian wanted to compete against Benjamin in a Ladder match. In other words, Christian wanted to steal the show at the TLC PPV, and with that being said, the Gold Standard accepted the challenge.

"But that didn't sit right with Willaim Regal, who still feels that he should have another ECW Championship match. He told his Ruthless Roundtable that his match against Yoshi Tatsu was his ticket to the ECW Championship.

"Before his match with Tatsu, Regal told his co-horts that they need to be at ringside and make sure that Regal wins this match in order to be one step closer to getting another ECW Championship Match. Regal had his match with Tatsu and unfortunately for Regal, he came up short, and Tatsu ended up winning the match.

"After the match was over, he chewed out his 2 monsters and Kozlov was blaming everything on Jackson. Jackson took offense to it, and as a result of that, Jackson destroyed the Ruthless Roundtable, and maybe we are going to see that Jackson/Kozlov match after all.

    Stay tuned People!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Vance Archer saw action last night against local talent Alex Reynolds, and all I can say is that Vance continues to show his aggressiveness in the Land of Extreme. I'm still waiting to see what he can do against some stiffer competition.

"Then, Matt Hardy made a guest appearance last night on the Abraham Washington Show talking about his stint next week on Scare Tactics. I found that clip to be interesting, though I don't know what Abe was talking about-- LOL."

    11/25/09 RAW Dirt Sheet

Wednesday, November 25, 2009, 06:41 PM EST [General]

"Coming off the heels of a very awesome Survivor Series, everybody was wondering what was going to happen on Raw last night with WWE Hall of Famer, Governor Jesse ''The Body'' Ventura as last night's guest host.

"Randy Orton was still the same that he always was after Bragging Rights, hoping that Ventura was going to allow him to get another championship shot against John Cena. But the Body, [and he will always be known as the Body in my view]  had something in mind. I'm sure that he heard that the WWE Universe was getting tired of people like Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Triple H, and others getting Championship matches over and over. So Ventura had a series of matches involving people who have never been a World Champion. And the winners of these matches would move on to a Breakthrough Battle Royal and the winner of that would get a Championship match at the TLC PPV.

"First up was Kofi Kingston taking On Dolph Ziggler. Kingston has to be feeling good after the way that he eliminated Orton this past Sunday at Survivor Series and I was extremely confident that Kingston was going to sail right through Ziggler and go onto the Breakthrough Battle Royal. Ziggler did give Kingston a good run for his money, but it wasn't enough. If you ask me, I think that Ziggler may have lost his edge a little bit after not winning the Intercontinental Championship from John Morrison last Friday night on Smackdown. Kingston was the winner of the match as he had the momentum going for him, and now he was in the Breakthrough Battle Royal. I'm really pleased with the way that Kingston has been as of late.

"He felt that the jamacian accent was getting him no where, and now I know that he is well on his way to becoming a World Champion.

"Another Breakthrough Qualifying match took place with Sheamus taking on Finlay, who got a little taste of what the Celtic Warrior can do last Sunday at Survivor Series. All Finlay got was a huge boot to the face, which really wasn't saying much. But last night, Finlay got a lot more that what he could bargain for, as Sheamus once again scored a pinfall over Finlay, sending him to the Breakthrough Battle Royal.

"Then in 6 man Tag Team action, in which all members of the winning team gets to move on to the Breakthrough Battle Royal, Jack Swagger, Chavo Guerrero and Chris Masters took on MVP, Mark Henry and R-Truth.

"MVP broke out of the hold that Masters had him in, then tags in R-Truth, and he was just electrifying me with those awesome moves that he has inside the ring. [That man right there is going to be a World Champion someday] Truth goes for the cover and only gets a 2 count thanks to a save from Chavo. Henry then went after Chavo, then Swagger came in the ring and MVP went after him, and the 2 were outside the ring going at it.

"Chavo was in big trouble as he was thrown on top of Swagger after being pressed over the head of Henry. Then Masters was nailed with a flying Head Scissors kick from R-Truth and gets the win.

"That means that R-Truth, Mark Henry and MVP are in the Battle Royal, and there was more to come as Randy Orton was still on Ventura's case about putting him in the Breakthrough Battle Royal. Ventura refused to let him, and told him that he likes what he does inside the ring.

"Evan Bourne was supposed to face Primo in another Breakthrough Qualifying match, but when Primo was on his way to the ring, Orton attacked him from behind, making him unable to compete. So Ventura allowed him to face Bourne just so that he would just plain leave him alone. Ventura told him that if he could beat Bourne, he would be allowed in the Breakthrough Battle Royal.

"When Orton won his match against Bourne and moved on to the Battle Royal, I was like, 'Please, not another Orton/Cena match. Don't they realize that the WWE Universe was getting tired of seeing that alone.'

"One more Breakthrough Qualifying Match took place, and that was Legacy vs. Cryme Tyme. It seems to me that with Orton already in the Breakthrough Battle Battle Royal, Dibiase and Rhodes had a lot of momentum going into this match. Legacy came out on top and I was wondering if that they were going to allow Orton to win the match.

    BREAKTHROUGH BATTLE ROYAL PARTICIPANTS:

    Kofi Kingston
    Sheamus
    R-Truth
    MVP
    Mark Henry
    Ted Dibiase
    Cody Rhodes

"It was time for the Breakthrough Battle Royal and Jesse Ventura wanted to get the band back together again, or should I say announce team. That's right-- for the first time in almost 20 years, Vince McMahon and Jesse '' The Body'' Ventura called the Battle Royal. I felt like I was watching Saturday Night's Main Event circa 1985 all over again.

"Ventura made McMahon wear that dorky looking tux that he wore back in the day, and let me say this, Vince McMahon still cannot call a match the right way.

'The Final 3 were Sheamus, Orton and Kingston, and Kingston and Orton were going at it until Sheamus got involved. Orton almost had Kingston gone, but he was still hanging on to the rope and pulls himself back in. Orton tried again, but this time, Kingston had Orton in a head scissor, and Orton was out of the Battle Royal. Kingston was too busy looking at Orton, that he forgot about Sheamus as he tossed out Kingston, making him the winner of the match.

"So Sheamus will face John Cena for the WWE Championship at TLC, but before Cena could sign a contract, he had a match against CM Punk.

"One would have to wonder what the state of Cena was going to be like after that hard fought Triple Threat Match that he had at Survivor Series. Cena was the same as he always was, and what a great match this was. Punk requested this match because well, he probably was looking for some kind of redemption and felt that John Cena was the perfect guy to get it from.

"Punk was feeling victory and almost got it at one point in the match. Punk had Cena in the corner and Cena felt his High Knee and Punk was mocking Cena with his 'You Can't See Me' gesture. Then as Punk went for the GTS, Cena countered and put Punk away with his Attitude Adjuster from the middle rope.

"Cena confronted his challenger, Sheamus and signed his contract for their upcoming Match, and Ventura saw a Conspiracy Theory, and told him that he can see why he is the WWE Champion, and was telling him that he never got a title match. At one time, I heard Ventura say that Hulk Hogan used to duck him like crazy.

"Ventura told the WWE Universe that their match is a Tables match and Sheamus sent Cena through a table.

"Everyone was wondering if Triple H and Shawn Micheals were on the same page after what they did to each other last Sunday at Survivor Series. Well, after the way that they handled themselves against the Hart Dynasty last night, I think that it was quite clear that they were willing to let bygones be bygones.

"After their match, they found out from Chris Jericho that Jeri-show will face DeGeneration X at TLC for the Unified Tag Team Championship in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.

"Batista didn't show any remorse at all after what he did to Rey Mysterio last night, but he can rest easy, because I know that he will get his shot at the Undertaker's World Heavyweight Championship, and after Kane confronted him last night, the 2 will face off this Friday night on Smackdown.

"One final thing, it was so nice to have a history lesson last night about the first Thanksgiving, if you know what I mean, courtesy of the Pilgrims (Michelle McCool, Layla and Jillian) and the Indians (Melina, Mickie James and Kelly Kelly) It was also nice to see the Gobbledy Gooker make a return. I mean Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!   I have never seen the Gobbledy Gooker look that good."

    WELCOME BACK, MARYSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, we saw what happens when you diss a woman the way Santino did to Gail Kim, Eve, The Bella Twins, and Alicia Fox. And what did he get? A pie in the kisser. Ouch! Also, I like how WWE used Tatanka's music for the Indian Divas.

    BRING BACK TATANKA! LOL:D

ECW Dirt Sheet still to come!

    11/21/09 WWE Smackdown Dirt Sheet

Saturday, November 21, 2009, 03:40 PM EST [General]

"What a week it has been in the WWE so far, and the best was yet to come last night on Friday Night Smackdown with a huge Tag Team main event and a great Intercontinental Championship rematch.

"The night started out with a very angry Batista. The reason why he was so angry is because of the way that Rey Mysterio embarrassed him last week during their contract signing when he threw the table on the Animal, and last night, he was ready to take his anger out on Matt Hardy who still had a score to settle with the Animal for throwing him into a chain-linked fence the Friday after Bragging Rights when he tried to talk some sense into him.

"As great a match this was, Batista wanted to do nothing but send a message to Mysterio as to what could very well happen tomorrow night.

"With the way that he was handling Hardy, it was quite clear that the WWE Universe believes that he is still very angry over not winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Bragging Rights. I think that he really made it clear to Mysterio he was ready after nailing Hardy with 3 hard-hitting spinebusters and following it up with a Batista Bomb to get the win.

"I think that the Animal's new attitude fits his entrance music perfectly.

"But that is not the last time we saw the Animal last night on Smackdown, as he was at the announce table to get a very close and stern look, if you will, at Rey Mysterio as he took on Tyson Kidd of the Hart Dynasty.

"The match was shaping up to be a very good one. Tyson Kidd was starting to build up some momentum as he went for an elbow drop off the top rope and missed.

"Mysterio started to fight back then goes for a cover and only gets a 2 count. Mysterio then sets up Kidd for the 619 but Kidd escapes. Mysterio was going to go after Kidd, but the Animal got involved causing Rey to get disqualified and making Tyson Kidd the winner of the match.

"But when the Animal went back to the announce table, Rey attacked him which made Batista very angry, and he went after Mysterio. Mysterio however, was once again too fast for the Animal.

"In a rematch from last week for the Intercontinental Championship, the champion John Morrison was to defend against Dolph Ziggler in a 2 out of 3 Falls match. This match, if you ask me went a lot better than last week's match over in England.

"Morrison made quick work of Ziggler in the first fall, and not to mention that Ziggler did the same thing in the second fall, but this time, he injured Morrison's ribs.

"So it was 1 fall a piece and Ziggler was continuing to go to work on Morrison. As Ziggler was continuing to do more damage to his already injured ribs, at this point it was like, we are going to see a new Intercontinental Champion.

"Ziggler made a lot of attempts to get a pinfall over Morrison but Morrison still had a lot of fight left in him.

"Morrison made a counter move on Ziggler, and finished him with Starship Pain and once again retained his Intercontinental Championship. That victory didn't come without a price for the current Intercontinental Champion.

"Finlay had yet another chance at some retribution over what Drew McIntyre has been doing to him, but I'm going to be perfectly honest with you people. If McIntyre keeps displaying what he has been doing in the ring like he did with Finlay when he once again put him away with his Double Arm DDT, then McIntyre is going to have some gold around his waist sooner than later.

"Mickie James was going to the ring all high-spirited and all, but in Truth, she wanted some retribution for what Layla and Michelle McCool did last week when they began cutting Mickie's wardrobe during her match with Natalya. Last night, she had Layla first on her hit list. The good news-- Mickie showed why she is well on her way to once again becoming the WWE Women's Champion as she put away Layla.

"Now here comes the bad news--  Layla had her look at the Titantron and she saw Michelle McCool do a version of Old Macdonald and I'm sure you know how that goes. But this version was a personal attack on Mickie in which McCool called her 'Piggy James', which brought her to tears.

"This may have made her cry, but I've got a feeling that we are going to see a side of Mickie that we have never seen before tomorrow night as she will make McCool pay big time.

"CM Punk is so hellbent on his way of telling people to just say no. So last night, he had his own intervention. And let me say, that is one way to tell people to just say no, just throw all the cigarettes, pills and booze in the trash can, huh? Well, R-Trurh had enough of what he heard and what does he do? He had a intervention of his own and knocks Punk to the ground before dumping the trash can on him and nailing him with it.

"Okay, it's been a while since we have seen Vickie Guerrero and Eric Escobar on Smackdown, so they barge in to Teddy Long's office and Vickie tried to criticize him for last night's main event with the Brothers of Destruction going against Jeri-Show.

"So Long told her to get out but Vince McMahon came in and had an idea that would help Long get off of probation, and that's make Vickie Guerrero a consultant of Smackdown. (Boo!)

"Let's go back in time when Guerrero was Long's assistant and Long was getting married to Kristal, who is now the fiancee of former WWE Superstar and current TNA superstar, Bobby Lashley, and Long has a heart attack and makes Guerrero the new General Manager of Smackdown.

"I would be surprised if there is some kind of plan in order to make Vickie Guerrero the Smackdown General Manager once again. We shall see how this plays out.

"Anyway, the main event last night was the Undertaker and Kane, that's right, the Brothers of Destruction against the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions, Big Show and Chris Jericho.

"This match alone for me, should be a match of the rear candidate. The Undertaker goes for a chokeslam, but Jericho counters and ends up in Hell's Gate. However, the Big Show comes in a drops a big leg on the Undertaker and Kane goes after him for what he did.

"Jericho sends the Undertaker outside the ring but pulls Jericho outside and those 2 were going at it. The Brothers of Destruction were teaming up on the Big Show and was sent flying over the ring wall and starts to break down the announce table. Kane and the Undertaker were going to chokeslam the Big Show through the table until Jericho came from behind and ended up in the ring alone with these 2, and he gets chokeslammed. Then Kane gets pulled out of the ring by the Big Show and gets dropped.

"Undertaker goes after the Big Show and he gets nailed, but gives a huge boot to Jericho. The Big Show came in the ring and chokeslammed the Undertaker, and then went to check on his partner, but was nailed with the Codebreaker. Could this be a sign of what could happen at Survivor Series this Sunday? Jericho runs off with the World Heavyweight Championship and this match ended as a no contest."

Damn, I can't wait for an explosive PPV tomorrow! Have a great night, everyone!:D

    11/20/09 WWE Superstars Dirt Sheet

Friday, November 20, 2009, 07:18 PM EST [General]

"Last night, some of the upcoming talent in the WWE was in action last night as we get closer to this Sunday's Survivor Series.

"In their third match, Zack Ryder wanted to once again prove that he is better than the Gold Standard, Shelton Benjamin. And yes, Rosa Mendes was in Ryder's corner. Now, I was taking a little bit of heat when I was saying in my ECW blog about Rosa as she was going on about certain things. I just want you all to understand that some things I may say are usually based on crowd reaction, and I have no intention of upsetting anybody and I apologize for doing so."
Quick note: That's OK, Rob. I got no heat with you on the whole Rosa Mendes thing. She indeed is a hottie, no matter what she says.

"Back to the match, in which I really thought that it was going to be 3 losses in a row for Ryder with the way that this match was going.

"Ryder started to make a comeback which brought a smile to Rosa's face, but the Gold Standard countered and sent Ryder into the corner and followed up with a splash which hurt him just a little.

"Both men had the same move in mind at one point as they both collided. When Rosa's cell phone rang  and she got Ryder's attention, I was like, well, that's number 3 against the Gold Standard. Losses, that is. Mendes gets in the ring and that is, where if I was the referee, would have called for the bell, but instead, this referee last night told her to get out of the ring. Ryder attends to Rosa, and the Gold Standard  went after Ryder, but missed and almost hit Rosa.

"This distraction allowed Ryder to put away the Gold Standard for the 3 count.

"Vickie Guerrero sure has a 'winner'. At least last night she did with her boytoy, Eric Escobar with the way that he ran roughshod over Jimmy Wang Yang. Although, I was reading over on NoDQ.com that Escobar as of late has been sent back to Florida Championship Wrestling, which is a sign that the WWE has already given up on him.

"In my opinion, they've should have started him over on ECW instead of Smackdown. Pushing him the way that they were doing was way too early. ECW would have been the perfect place for him to start his WWE career.

"After watching this match a second time on WWE.com, I can see why that the WWE has lost faith in this guy. I'm hoping that his time back in FCW will help him improve his skills. If not, then Vickie Guerrero needs a new role.

"From Raw, the main event was the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry taking on Cody Rhodes at Madison Square Garden.

'This match was the result of last week when Cody Rhodes tried to get involved in the MVP/Ted Dibiase match. Rhodes weighs in at 223 and Henry weighs in at 418, so you wonder how this match was going to go.

"This Legacy member was on his way to victory doing whatever that he could against a man the size of Henry. I myself would look for ways to make him tired. But it wasn't enough as Cody Rhodes fell victim to the World's Strongest Slam, and Mark Henry is the winner of the match.

"This win over Cody Rhodes does give Team Kingston a lot of momentum going into this Sunday's Survivor Series PPV against Team Orton in the traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag match."

That's it for this review, but I'll be back with tomorrow's Smackdown Dirt Sheet!
