I want to start off by saying that I wish TNA all the best with their future. They have some tremendous talent with stars such as A.J Styles, Samoa Joe, Herdandez amongst others. Their women's division is the stroongest in the business and the company has provided some thrilling matches on their TV show Impact! and their PPVs. Of the course the ongoing problem with the company is their sometimes ludicrous, nonsencical storylines put on by a creative team led by Vince Russo. I believe that Russo is bad for tbe company. He is someone who goes to work everyday writing stories for a TV show not a wrestling show and there is a difference. Some of his ideas are stupid and over the top and don't make sense, a trend that he began in WCW. At least he has taken his orders well from President Dixie Carter and has begun to push the young talent. This is a great move by TNA, who have now seemingly answered the critics who accused them of not pushing their homegrown talent as much as ex -WWE wrestlers. I hope the push of the young stars is not stopped by the arrival of Hulk Hogan. At the time of writing, his role in TNA has not been clearly defined, but if he does gain a large amount oif creative control it could, if history is anything to go by prove disatrous for TNA's up and comers. I am going to sit on the fence at the moment when it comes to the Hogan signing and I only make my last statement based on history. In WCW, Hogan, who had a lot of creative control, pushed himself and his close freinds in his inner circle and convinced WCW managment and Eric Bischoff that mid - card wrestlers due to be elevated to the main event that they did'nt deserve the push. This made the product go stale and out of date, which would be one of the reasons that the company went out of business. TNA has stated that Hogan will bring in more people with him. This has got many in TNA worried that Hogan will bring in his freinds and push himself and them, preventing young stars from getting over which is exactly what happened in WCW. Only time will tell what impact that Hogan has in TNA but I do think that the talent do have reason to be worried. At the moment it does seem that the Hogan signing hasn't done much for the ratings. The last segment for Impact! 2 weeks ago that included the Hulk Hogan press conference drew the lowest segment ratings for the whole show. As Vince McMahon said he heard about that, 'OUCH.'
