I can't say 100% for sure, but I think my scan turned out okay. Because for the first time in about a year (right now I have the scan every 6 months), I have not been called back in for a 2nd scan, due to some activity that was spotted. I have to go to my oncologist on the 19th of December to go over the results, so like I said, I can't say 100% that everything is fine, but I feel decently enough about it that I THINK it is fine.
If yall could say a prayer not just about the results on the 19th, but also for my mom's and my safety driving to the cancer center I'd sure appreciate it. It's only about a 45 minute drive, but it's a CRAZY highway we have to drive on, PLUS it's so near Christmas I always become a nervous wreck heading over there. Last time (or was it time before last? ANyway...lol), we had to drive over there the day before THanksgiving. Yeah...NOT fun. Anyway, any and all prayers would be appreciated! =]
Okay, I think I'm off for the night. I gotta go have my full body scan tomorrow so please say a prayer for me! (those of you that don't know, or don't know me... every 6 months to a year I have a full body scan to make sure that my previous Thyroid Cancer is still gone). I've had to go the past two times for a second scan due to some activity that was found. And one of those times had to undergo another treatment. Anyway, hoping that it doesn't happen this time! I'll let yall know tomorrow if I hear anything right away.
Okay, I TOTALLY intended to be back on my computer by 3:30 or 4:00 today, but I actually wound up being stuck at my Cancer Center till about 4:30 due to my mom's car door spazzing out on us. See, I went originally to the hospital to take my radioactive pill for my scan (then I go Thursday for the actual scan), anyway after that, I had to go to the Cancer Center to have some blood drawn. Well, me and mom then get out to the car, and her door opens (the driver's side) but the locking mechanism spazzes out, and locks into place causing the door to not shut at all. It is hard to explain because I'm not much of a mechanic or body worker, lol, but take it from me, this door was NOT shutting. So we had to call AAA and wait there for about an hour and the guy finally came out and showed us how to work with the locking mechanism thing so the door CAN shut till we get it repaired/replaced. Anyway, we didn't get home till 5:30 and I was TOTALLY drained. The stress of this upcoming scan PLUS the temporary stress of "How the heck do we get home???" hit me hard and I needed a nap. I'm STILL exhausted, so I'm just going to unwind with writing and/or reading. And then plan on going to bed and crashing till late in the morning, lol. Sorry, to those in my group. I'll try to catch up on stuff tomorrow. =P
