    Join This Awesome Yahoo Group!

Monday, December 1, 2008, 06:57 PM CST [General]

Okay, I've been working my tush off, along with a couple other people, on promoting my WWE/TNA Yahoo Group as well as trying to get a lot of stuff done in it.  In my own opinion it looks pretty darned great.  It's got around 900 pics so far, I'm working right now on news articles, I'm going to be posting my fictions (already have 7 posted and then 6 of those [ones I have completed] are uploaded to the files section), and all sorts of other stuff.  There are polls to determine what WWE/TNA superstar & diva/knockout will be featured on the Group's banner each month.  For the month of December the featured wrestlers (both male & female) are John Cena, Michelle McCool, Kurt Angle, and Traci Brooks.  Come check it out, it looks nice & Christmasy! =]  It'll be great if enough people will join.  Please give it a chance.  I'd love for this group to be one of the best on Yahoo!

There is an approval needed, due to someone trying to cause trouble, but I'll get you approved quickly once I check your application over.  Thanks!

Oh, and we've finally gotten a few females in there, but we can always use more! Join today! =]

    Getting Something Off My Chest...

Tuesday, November 25, 2008, 04:09 PM CST [General]

**Feel free to post your opinion.  BUT be sure it's tasteful, not rude, and no cursing.  Otherwise it will not be approved, nor acknowledged.  Also, allow me time to see it and get it approved.  I'm not at my computer 24/7**

I read an article today by Dave Scherer titled “LOOKING AT A "WE HAVE LOTS OF STUFF FOR YOU TO BUY" EDITION OF RAW”.  I had no problem till I came to a section titled, “Rhetorical and Unanswered Questions”.  The very last one stated, “"How telling was it that almost everyone cheering Cena during his promo in the concourse was under the age of 14?"

I’m so beyond tired of hearing this same old garbage.  1st of all, who really cares if he has younger fans?  What’s so funny about that?  But before I go and repeat everything, I need to hush.

I ranted a bit to my Yahoo Group and then decided to send an email to Mr. Scherer.  Something I’d not normally waste my time with, but I felt the need to say this.  Posted below is my email to him.

    Mr. Scherer,

I was reading through the "Rhetorical and Unanswered Questions:" section of this article and couldn't help bristling at the one that stated: "How telling was it that almost everyone cheering Cena during his promo in the concourse was under the age of 14?"

Now you aren't the first to state something like this (I assume these are your own questions as you didn't specify that they were sent in to you), but it really does start to get old, hearing it.

Yes, John Cena DOES have a lot of young fans.  But that is not something to make fun of.  If anything, I think it proves that John Cena is a man to be looked up to.  He's not failed one drug test, he is very gracious and loyal to his fans.  He is the epitome of making your dream happen & living it to the fullest; someone that is an exellant role model to the kids. Why is that to be made fun of?  Pardon me, if it doesn't seem funny.  And on top of that, he loves kids, so how do you know that he didn't surround himself with those kids because that was his way of giving something back?  (Plus I imagine his security guards that were present figured that kids would be easier to corral than adults; however despite what you say, I DID see a few adults on there.)  And aside from all that, there are numerous superstars that have a HUGE fanbase of youngsters (Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, Finlay; due to Hornswaggle, even Triple H is being seen more with little kids), and yet they aren't made fun of for it in the least.  Isn't that a bit hypocritical?  And as I've basically stated above, I just don't see the joke.  I think it's great that the kids look up to and admire him. I suppose that kids should want to follow in the footsteps of some shallow celebs who shall remain nameless.

    Spare me.

I however forgot to mention that WWE Universe proves that John Cena has MANY fans of all ages.  I’ve even seen numerous fans that were older, and of BOTH genders.  He’s even got fans (which people seem to ignore this), that are male and in their 30s and even 40s.  So laugh it up haters.  He’s got the golden belt, what does he really care what you think?  That’s what people don’t get.  They seem to think they are really bugging him by saying all this junk.  Would it bug YOU if you had a world heavyweight title belt, and making millions of dollars?  I think not.

Seems like there is some bitter jealousy in the air, LOL.

May Be Editing My Friend List...

Monday, November 24, 2008, 12:03 AM CST [General]

    If this keeps up.

I'm not going to single anyone out in this entry, but I'm getting really tempted to start deleting friends on here.  The ones that start calling wrestlers names (mainly curse words) just because they don't like them, and they win.

Now, I'm all for teasingly giving one of the wrestlers you don't like a funny nickname.  After all I've been guilty of calling Kozlov, "Mr. Tightie Whitey".  But to call some of the wrestlers tonight curse words when the guys are just doing what they've been asked, it's pretty messed up.  If you can't get that this is all scripted then you need a reality check and maybe some professional help.  And if you DO realize it's scripted then you need to grow up and quit calling people dirty curse-word-like names.  I dislike (in fact loathe is a better word) a few of the wrestlers, but I've not called them a curse word because despite my feelings toward them, I respect what they do for the business.  I wouldn't dream of calling Kozlov a curse word no more than I would John Cena.

Oh, I will man up and say that in one of my recent blogs I was talking about the "Beautiful People" in TNA and complaining about how they act a bit TOO promiscuous, and I did quote say that "if being beautiful meant acting like a ho-bag..." Now, I wasn't calling them ho-bags I said they were ACTING like ho-bags.  There's a big difference.  I mean really, watch their ring-entrance & you'll see what I mean.

Anyway, I'm sidetracked, I never actually call names or curse words.  And I'm saying this right now, if I see anyone in these shout outs calling a wrestler or diva a flat-out curse word, I'm probably going to delete you.  Believe me, I get worked up over storylines and matches myself, but I don't result in calling them curses.  It's very rude and inconsiderate when these people (like 'em or hate 'em) literally put their necks on the line for our entertainment.  Shame on you.

That's all I have to say.  Just please choose your words wisely.

    Just Read About Jeff Hardy...

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 12:32 PM CST [General]

I am not sure what to think of it, personally.  First of all I wanna say that I truly hope he is alright.  I'm not gonna be one of those "fans" that just want to see him pull Swanton after Swanton just because it's awesome to see.  Granted, I enjoy them, but lets face it, with his many back, neck, knee & elbow problems, it CAN'T be good for him.

Anyway, I've read "reports" from those gossip sites that it is a planned storyline to perhaps introduce Edge back to Smackdown.  If so, I'll be relieved but very irritated that the WWE would do something that can/does really worry his loyal and genuine fans.  But ya know?  I'll take that.  If it means that he is only acting and he is okay, I'll accept the irritation.

I did notice on SmackDown on Friday night (actually taped on Tuesday night), that as we went to go up the steps to enter the ring, he sort of slumped over the steps and appeared to have to catch his breath.  And the camera cut away from him awfully quick.  Of course, this could still have been plans leading to what supposedly happened to him last night, but I guess only time will tell.

I just hope that he is okay.  It's possible that he's just overtired right now, if that's the case, Vince needs to step up and give him some time off to rest up.

Jeff is one of those guys that really doesn't take care of himself.  In my opinion, the poor guy needs to take some time off to have some surgeries done, but I seriously don't see that happening.  The sad thing is, he may be shortening his career by a long shot by not getting some medical attention.  And it's not that it bothers me b/c "ohhh man!  Jeff's gonna have to retire. *pout*"  It's not that.  I'd hate it FOR him.  I know, like many others, Jeff lives for what he does.  And if he has to retire by the age of 35 (if he's lucky at this rate), it's going to absolutely drive him crazy.

But it's out of anyone's hands but his own.  All you can do is hope he wakes up and get's the medical advice/attention he needs.
