I came across an interesting topic in the forums yesterday. I didn't bother replying in it though b/c I've heard so many stories about people getting banned or their accounts getting deleted for hardly anything. So I steer clear of them.
Anyway, someone posted a topic about Cena's return match in which he has a title shot against Jericho. Naturally the anti-Cena fans are in an uproar over it. The person that posted this topic stated that all the Cena haters would still not be satistisfied if Cena had to wait several months for a title shot. And I feel strongly that what they said was true. It's not about the title so much, as it's about their not liking Cena & thinking he shouldn't be champ (thank goodness it isn't up to them, lol).
Here's how I see it. I feel like if someone is injured and then loses the match, then sure, they should have a couple months to wait for it since they did in fact LOSE the title. BUT, if that person doesn't lose the match, and then an injury is discovered and the wreslter has to FORFEIT the title over, then I think, dang strait they have a title shot coming! In example: When John Cena was injured on October 1, 2007 (the day before my 26th b-day unfortunately =[ ) after his match with Kennedy he had to forfeit the title over. I felt that he deserved to then win the Royal Rumble as he did, and go on to have a title shot at Wrestlemania. I also feel that he should have a title shot when he comes back because he was supposed to be in the scramble back at Unforgiven, but was injured and then could not compete. To me, that's similar to having to forfeit a title. He had to forfeit his SPOT in the scramble. To me, he is due a shot.
That all being said, I dislike Jericho being champ. He is a good wrestler don't get me wrong, but he is just (in my OPINION) not World Heavyweight material. On the otherhand, if it's Jericho that Cena goes up against for the title, that relaxes me a little because as someone in the forums pointed out...if Cena was to go up against Batista...that'd worry me a little. Becuase some of Batista's moves are absolutely brutal looking. I mean come on...Jericho, or Mr. Built-Like-a-Friggin'-House-Batista. I'd much rather him go up against Batista in a "now that's one heckuva fight" kind of sense. But on the other hand, I'd prefer him go up against Jericho in a "that's a lot safer" kind of sense. Not that I don't think John Cena can take care of himself, or that Jericho can't bust out a good maneuver, it's just I'm always leery for my favorites when they first come back from injury. Heck I even cringed during parts of Randy Orton's match last night. And he's been in pretty good shape for a while now, lol.
Anyway, as late as it is, this may or may not make sense, lol. Hope yall enjoyed my ramblings. =P
