Wrestling Observer is reporting that Former WWE Superstar John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) has turned down a offer to Join TNA saying that he has no interest in working for TNA.
Jeff Hardy is scheduled to be at the Moore County Criminal District Court in Carthage, North Carolina today for a probable cause hearing stemming from his September 11th arrest on multiple drug charges. The charges include:
- Felony possession of cocaine.
- Felony drug trafficking of opium
- Two counts of felony possession with intent to redistribute a Schedule III drug
- Maintaining a dwelling for drug use and/or distribution (also a felony)
- Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
If it is determined that a crime was committed and Jeff Hardy is probably the party who committed the crime, the cases move on to a Grand Jury. Upon review of the facts and evidence, the Grand Jury can criminally indict Hardy. If Jeff Hardy gets indicted, the cases are transferred to Superior Court.
In J.R.'s latest blog entry on his official website, www.jrsbarbq.com, the WWE Hall of Famer discusses Hulk Hogan joining TNA, the latest health update on former Tough Enough contestant Matt Cappotelli, Mickie James' secret admirer, and more. Here are some of the highlights:
Thoughts on Hulk Hogan joining TNA: "We are getting lots of redundant emails from our constituency regarding Hulk going to TNA. Many of you know more than I about this development I can assure you. I can only say that it's way too early to either condemn or commend the development until fans see what changes in philosophy or direction are taken. It's like a new coach being hired to coach, say the Washington Redskins or the Tennessee Titans, for example, who are not where they want to be. How does one judge the results before the process starts? It will all come down to results and results won't/can't come over night."
Latest health update on former Tough Enough contestant Matt Cappotelli: "Been exchanging emails with Matt Cappotelli, former WWE Tuf Enough winner and developmental wrestler. Matt has been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer seemingly forever and hopes to finish chemo next summer which will mark three years of chemotherapy treatment. Matt's a warrior with an amazing spirit and is an inspiration with which to speak. I always thought this kid had "it" but he has been sidetracked with battling cancer which has had to become a huge part of Matt's life. Matt is an assistant manager at a Louisville health club and is also finishing his college degree at the University of Louisville in Exercise Physiology. I love Matt Cappotelli's mental and physical toughness and his undying Faith. What a great young man."
Mickie James' secret admirer: "Some apparent whack job is emailing me to death, perhaps there are more than one, and is obsessed with me hooking him, I think it's a him, up with Mickie James. This isn't "E-Harmony" pal but a place to congregate and order BBQ products, etc. This person can't figure out why Mickie hasn't responded to his/her many, many attempts at reaching her. Duh. Did you ever think that just maybe you've scared the hell out of her? As Larry the Cable Guy might say, "Let it go."
Ozzy & Sharon Hosting Raw: "I liked Ozzie and Sharon Osbourne's role on Raw Monday night. It wasn't overkill and it played to their strengths. Ozzie, honestly, pleasantly surprised me with his performance and his wife is really sharp which has likely saved Ozzie's arse over the years. They are a prime example of where a "reality show" has helped their personas and made them relevant again to a new audience.
Sheamus' Potential: "The continued evolution of Sheamus, the big Irish guy with no last name, is something that I'm enjoying. Hopefully, this build will be consistent and not rushed as it is obvious to me that Sheamus, the big Irish guy with no last name, has marketable potential. I like his size, physicality, and obvious toughness and he also has a strong work ethic and desire to not just be a player to be be a main event player. Sheamus is one of the most intriguing personas in WWE right now for my money. Can you imagine how fast Sheamus would progress if he were managed by a red hot, mouthpiece who was relevant in today's marketplace?
Kofi Kingston's Push: "Good to see Kofi Kingston, who's now from his original homeland, continue to get his at bats. Kofi and Orton represent in ring youth which is a really good thing on which to build. Kofi's next few months of TV exposure will be crucial in his development as fans seem to be curious as far Kofi can go. I happen to feel that Kofi has a distinctive upside. However, too many stubbed toes or false starts seem to be the kiss of death with many of today's fans.
