    SmackDown: The WorkHorse Show

Sunday, June 28, 2009, 11:55 AM EST [SmackDown]

Hi again WWE Universe. I was planning on doing some blogs on the state of all 3 shows and I was planning on Starting with the flagship show Raw. But I was sitting here thinking and  SmackDown kept popping up in my head and the more I thought about it I was getting more excited to write this one so SmackDown is First.

Remember about 6 or 7 months ago I wrote a blog about the Intercontinetal Championship being the workhorse title of the WWE and how over the last few years it lost it's glory and meaning. Well, I look at SmackDown as the Workhorse show but the glory and meaning is there WWE just needs to pay more attention to this show more maybe so than Raw. Raw has become a Variety show and not so much about the wrestling anymore. But yet it is still pulling in ratings of around 3.5 on Monday nights.

Now I understand that SmackDown is on little old my network tv. But I have to say with the talent depth and calibare of stars SmackDown is the Wresting show to watch right now.

Here are a few reasons why:

Chris Jericho: Next to Randy Orton, Chris Jericho is the top Heel in wrestling today. He makes it so believeable and interesting that you have to watch to just see what he will do next. His mic skills or second to none, he plays the crowd like a fiddle and I must tell you the reaction he gets from the fans i can't help but stop and laugh because he pulls them in everytime. His technical skills are the best right now next to Rey and CM Punk. His feud with Rey right now is the best thing WWE has going now and you can only credit that with Jericho being the professional that he is. I hope that we have a feud with Jericho and Punk in the next few weeks for the title that would make some great television.

EDGE: I call The Rated R SuperStar Mr.SmackDown. He is the definitive reason to watch SmackDown every Friday night. Edge much like Jericho can pull you in and make you hate him instantly. I mean come on let's face it he is the ultimate opputunist! His feuds with Undertaker, Batista,Rey and Cena shows that Edge can adapt to all styles and sizes of wrestlers and come out on top everytime. Maunuplation is his game and it works well for him. I look for edge to continue to dominate Friday Night's and regain some gold.

CM Punk: The best draft pick SmackDown has ever aquried period. Punk like Edge reminds me of Bret"Hitman" Hart. he is the utlity man that can do it all. Techinal, submission, brawl, I would dare even to say that his adaptation is even better than HBK and that is saying a lot. When Punk cashed in money in the bank on Jeff Hardy he made a bigger statement than anyone would ever had thought. With CM Punk as WorldHeavyweight Champion SmackDown will be going places it has never been to before.

The Undertaker: The phenom has always been a huge reason to watch WWE Television no matter what show he is on. He is beyond the shadow of a doubt next to HBK the measuring stick for ALL WWE Superstars. He always brings his A game injured or not. actaully Undertaker would have been the last one I would be talking about adapting as well as he has over the years. He reminds me of Madonna or U2 they all have adopted so well to remain on top of what they do. The Undertaker however needs to add some more gold to his resume as I believe his legacy is more important in WWE history of that of Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin...

Jeff Hardy: What can I say of Jeff! He goes out night after night and he puts his body on the line for the great WWE fans. Jeff's down fall to me (if the internet rumors are correct LOL) has been his focus. And if he signed a new deal I think he is now more focused and ready than ever. I do believe his winning the WWE title did come a little late. He had a series of great matches with HHH that are his best ever. Jeff is another great edition to SmackDown as he is another Workhorse with Jericho, Rey, CM Punk, and Edge

John Morrison: Simply put John is the future of SmackDown. getting rid of the Miz was the best thing WWE ever did for Morrison. I look back at June 2007 when morrison was a last minute replacement in the ECW Title match agianst CM Punk. That was the John Morrison that shoud have stayed a single competitor. His new move StarShip Pain is just phenomal. I look for Morrison really soon to find his way into the World title picture as this young superstar has deserved it for sometime now.

SmackDown to me has always gotten branded the "B" show. With the talents of the past such as JBL.Eddie Guerrero,Kurt Angle,The worlds greatest tag team,Rey, Undertaker,ect.. that pulled that show the hardest but the spotlight was always on Raw each and everyweek.

Now with these great WorkHorses at the helm of what I believe is now the "A" show or Flagship show of the WWE SmackDown will lead the way for Great Wrestling action and not the fluff that has become Monday Night Raw.....

    Until Next time

Was Jeff Hardy robbed or just CM Punked!!!!!!

Sunday, June 21, 2009, 04:49 PM EST [SmackDown]

Hi WWE Universe it's been awhile but I am back!!! I have read alot over the last few days and weeks about CM Punks decsion to cash in Money in the bank at Extreme Rules On Jeff Hardy after just winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Edge in one of the best ladder matches of all time in my estimation!

Let's go back a year on Raw when CM Punk cashed in money in the bank on Edge after being brutly attacked by Batista. Punk saw an opening and he took his shot and it payed off. I heard no one saying anything then about Punk being a bad guy for doing that. After all Edge has done it in the past so pay backs are well you know....  Fast forward to extreme Rules CM Punk saw another opening and he took his shot and once again it paid off big time and about time i should say..

But now we are questioning CM Punks moral being because this time it was Jeff Hardy and not Edge. Didn't we do this with Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels?? And Jericho ended up being the bad guy and still is to this day. KIDS It's called Money In The Bank not the check you conscious at the door breifcase! You all would have done the same thing and cashed it on Jeff Hardy so don't chastize CM Punk for doing it.

Jeff Hardy has another chance at the Bash in 7 days to regain the gold in what I believe could be a match of the year candiate in my book. These 2 warriors are hungry for the gold and ready to put their bodies on the lines for us and prove beyond a shadow of a doubt who is truly the best on Smackdown right now!! My good hard earned money is on Punk to retain.

But WWE Universe don't judge CM Punk because he did this. It has been almost a years journey for CM Punk to regain His gold he never truly lost. You were all behind him then let's get behind him now.

Remember in Wrestling there are no grey lines, no rights or wrongs!!!

Tomorrow Night a commerical free edition of Raw. What will The Trump have up his sleeve? Will we have a new GM of Raw. But more importantly will Mr. McMahon have something special in store!!!!

And once again for the first time in 6 months you have been Smacked!!!!!!!

    YOU'VE BEEN SMACKED 9/26/08

Monday, September 29, 2008, 11:31 PM EST [SmackDown]

All I can say about the blue brand this week is tag team wrestling alive again? This week we started off with Vicky and Chavo and talking about the Undertaker chocking Chavo "HIs fingers were around my neck I couldn't breath, before i could pass out he let me go" "He wanted me to be a messenger that tonight he's coming for you" Vicky then asks Chavo to go get the Big Show then Jeff walks in wanting Vladmir Koslov for attacking Jeff last week. But Vicky already had him in a tag team match with HHH. Chavo then come back with Show and Vicky is looking a little more secure.

HHH/ Jeff Hardy vs. MVP/ The Brian Kendrick: This is where the great night of tag team wrestling starts. MVP and Jeff started but there were alot of quick tags between both teams. Actually Jeff and HHH looked like they have been teaming forever. Big Zeke really got involved this week he really seemed to work alot on Jeff more. HHH performs a big clothesline on MVP and he just goes right over the ropes to the outside. MVP and Kendrick had the Game backed up in their corner for a little bit which Kendrick would attempt a pin and get a 2 count. Jeff goes to the top turnbuckle to help but it's Big Zeke interfering again and pushes Jeff crashes to the mat. Kendrick hit an amazing low dropkick on Jeff and only gets a 2 count. Jeff and Kendrick trading blow for blow then Hardy would hit the whisper in the wind. HHH pedigrees both MVP and Kendrick but after some chaos HHH once again Pedigrees MVP and picks up the win. And Jeff shows some friendship by giving HHH his WWE Title back to him and both men shake hands.

The Gold Standard comes out and talks smack about R-Truth's past. saying that the Gold Standard is all attitude and his lifestyle. "There are some superstars here that live by my standards like R-Truth" He even called Truth a "Street Ugent" Finally R-Truth comes out and it seems this week the crowd got a liitle behind(unless they are pumping audio in) The 2 stand face to face and then out of the clear blue without even saying a word Shelton Benjamin just leaves.

Brie/Maria vs. Victoria/Naytaly: Victoria was all over Maria and I have to say nice full nelson from Victoria you don't see a lot of that from the Diva's. Brie and Natyla get in and it looked like to me that Natalya was having her way with Brie for a while there. Brie then not once but twice slaps Natyla. Victoria shoves Brie to the outside and of course Brie goes underneath the ring again and comes out the other side. But the other Bella twin was in the ring a little more than usual this week but it's Brie or whoever and Maria picking up the win.

Kahli vs. Koslov: Kid's i've been waiting for this one and we get it on free TV. Koslov starts with the go behind but Kahli just chops his way out of it. Kahli then kicks Koslov out of the ring. Then HHH come out and Koslov gets out of the ring. But then very slowly Koslove gets back in but then the numbers game starts to comsume the Game and it's Kahli and Koslov 2 on 1. But Jeff comes out and helps, then HHH gets to his sledge hammer and uses it on Kahli. Koslov and HHH stare each other down as Koslov says "NO" to HHH and walks away.

Vicky,Chavo and Big Show in the GM Office. Show keeps teeling Chavo not to "Abonded your family" Big Show then shows the video again from Unforgiven then Show says to Chavo "Undertaker may get to you but he won't get to Vicky" "If he tries I will take him out of action" Show is talking Big talk but then Vicky puts Chavo in a match.

Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Chavo:Chavo is way to comcerned about the Undertaker and Jimmy takes advantage of it and plows over Chavo. But Chavo makes a comeback both men go back and forth and get some close pin falls on the other. Chavo would hit the 3 amigo's which Jimmy would counter. But it's Chavo with the liger kick and picks up the win but the Undertaker would send Chavo a signal and Chavo is scarred.

WWE Tag Team Championship match: Hawkins/Ryder vs. The Colon Brothers:    This match was as Taz would say was way off the hook. This match had all the signs of great tag team wrestling the way it use to be. Prinmo's flying head siccors was just sick and both teams seemed to really cut the ring in half. Carlito and primo seemed to use more ariel moves and grounded the champions. Ryder at one point almost had it won with a handful of tights but he only gets 2. Carlito would hit the Backstabber on Hawkins and the Colon Brothers are the new WWE tag team champions about time. Am looking for some good things from this Brother combination.

Jesse and Festus came out with a moving truck and guess who was in the back. Dykstra and Bradrock from the last 2 weeks still tied up and ready to be shipped lol.

Vicky,Chavo and The Big Show are in the ring. Vicky saying "I shouldn't have reinstated you" You didn't take anything  are you having 2nd thoughts". Show goes on to say that The Undertaker has been humbled. The bell tolls and the lights go off and Chavo is gone. The Undertaker and Chavo are on the HD Titantron and Taker is back chocking him again. The Big Show takes off for the back to help. The video distorts Vicky looks lost and as Taz is going to the ring to talk to Vicky the lights go out again and when they come back up The Undertaker is in the ring and he starts to choke Vicky and then surprisingly he picks her up and gives her a Tombstone piledriver. But has Taker really got his revenge on Vicky or not I guess we will have to find out this Sunday at No Mercy.

Until next week you've just been CUT!!!!
