HHH starts us off this week on the blue brand. The 12 time Champion looks ready to for Sunday  He states that “This is the most difficult challenge I’ve ever faced” “Joey Styles and the nerds over at wwe.com have informed me that I have a 80% chance of retaining my title” Then Shelton comes out and calls this a “**** shoot” Shelton also states that he last week took out HHH,MVP and Jeff Hardy. HHH then reminds Shelton that “That’s cool but you left the part out where I beat you last week” Then MVP comes out “The king of bling is better than the king of kings”HHH continue to humiliate this 2 and then out of nowhere The Brian Kendrick and Big Zeke with the sneak attack on the game. But Jeff Hardy comes out for the save. But HHH hits Big Zeke with a steel chair and Zeke looks un touched. Look out for Zeke and HHH tonight at Unfogiven as I think something will happend between 2.


R-truth VS. Bam Nelly was our 1st match of the night. This match again was built around R Truth in ring abalities.But R came through the crowd doing his rap and was it just me or were the fans not getting behind R Truth during his rap. Any way Bam hits a huge clothesline but it’s R Truth with the 360 Forearm and big wheel kick to get the win again this week.


Tazz then informs us that Vicky is not here this evening. Then The Undertaker appears and says “They say the anticipation of death is far worse than the death itself” It looks like Undertaker and Vicky have a little score to settle at Unforgiven.


MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin this one was a all out fight from the beginning There a bunch of near falls in this match but it’s Shelton hitting Pay Dirt out of nowhere for the victory.


Maryse vs. Maria- Maria to me still needs a lot of in ring work. Maryse was so so this week she had a very interesting roll into a camel clutch and hit a sick DDT to pick up the win. But Maryse would have a stare down with Michelle on the ramp...


The Brian Kendrick VS. Jeff Hardy- This one started with a flurry of high impact moves. Kendrick was wicked awesome with The kicks during this match up. Jeff at one time had the whisper in the wind but only got a 2 count. But it’S Big Zeke interfering yet again Kendrick hits The Brian Kendrick and picks up some really needed momentum going into tonight.

Vicky finally shows up and is yelling and screaming at everyone.

Ryan Braddock vs. Super Crazy forget about this match Vladimir Koslov comes out and “demands a challenge” Big show then comes out but Vicky stops this one before it can start and states she will “no longer be a victim” for the Undertaker.

Victoria vs.Bree Bella this was a rematch from last week and guess what happened the same out come for Victoria. As Brie sneaks under the ring again comes out the other side and gets the small package on Victoria for another win? Come on everyone does know where this is going? Don’t you?

HHH and Jeff in the back exchanging words Jeff telling HHH that his problem this Sunday is ME   HHH saying that this is just another day at the office.


Then our main event Lumber Jack Match- HHH VS. Kahli
Kahli just starts unloading on the game HHH is thrown outside and and is mauled by the Lumber Jacks. A couple of times during this match Jeff did save HHH a few times from attacks like these. Kahli huge choke slam on HHH. HHH then hits a high knee and gets back some momentum.  HHH hits a very impressive spine buster on Kahli. HHH attempts a pedigree but Kahli puts HHH in the dreaded vice grip  But the game breaks free and hits the pedigree for the win.

I am sorry my smack down blog is late. Due to Samck Down not being on here until last night and a series of power outages this may not be Rob type blog you have always expected... But untill next week You’ve Just Been Smacked!!!!!

Bret Sergeant Hart was born July 2,1957. son of Helen and Stu Hart. Bret was born into the family business. His 7 brothers were either wrestlers or involved backstage with the family business.

Bret at the age of 19 started working for his father's promotion Stampede wrestling in Calgary. His father was even his manager for a time. Bret began by refrereeing matches but 1 night was asked to step in and wrestle. His very 1st match was in Saskatoon,Saskatchewan.

He would team up with his brother Keith to be 4 times Tag Team Champions. Bret would go on to gain some more experience from Mr.Hito and Mr.Sakurada,Later he would praise them as his most significant influences in the businees. When asked Bret would faithfully "Jobbed" as he knew that was an important part of being a great in ring performer.

Bret would go onto win Stampede wrestling top prizes. 2 British commonwealth mid-heavyweight championships,5 International tag team titles,and 6 Northamerican heavyweight titles.

But in the spring of 1984 Bret was called up to the WWF and a future Hall Of Famer would be born. In our next Bret Hart blog The WWF 1984-1997 we will look at "The excellent Of Excution" and how he became "The Best there is,The best there was, And The Best there ever will be".

In the last blog we looked at tag team wrestling of the 80's. In this edition of Is Tag Team Wrestling Dead we will look at the 90's. I've always felt the 90's were more of a stupid gimmick type. You had the BodyDonna's,The Headshrinkers,The Headbangers,the cowboy gimmick with The Smoking Gunns!! And we also saw the begining of pairing up of whoever they could think of!!! Such as Owen Hart and Yokozuna,HBK and diesel,123 kid and Bob Holly ect.. I think you get the idea.

The 90's

The New Age Outlaws- This team consisted of the Road Dogg Jesse James and Bad Ass Billy Gunn. Now this team really had no legs until the night after Wrestlemania 14 when they joined D-X. And that automatically put this team on the map over night. They had several Reigns as Tag Team Champions and to me their greatest match came at Wrestlemania 14 against Catus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie in a Tag Team title dumpster match which the Outlaws lost. The WWE attempted to make these 2 singles stars once the D-X angle faded but  they never had the spotlight as bright as it was when they were in D-X.

Rock N Sock Connection-  This team seemed to be a mis match from the begining. The Rock And Mankind earlier in 1999 had a historic feud over the WWE Title in several grueling matches. They won thier 1st of 2 I believe Tag Team Titles from The UnderTaker and The Big Show on Raw. On September 27,1999 Mankind had a this is your life segment for The Rock. IT still is today the highest rated segment on Raw. And showed that everyonce in a while putting a team like this together out of the blue can work. Their Mic skills and chemistry together makes this team great.

The Hardy Boys- Matt and Jeff started in the WWE in the mid 90's as jobbers. Late in 98 earlier 99 this team got a chance to Shine and did they ever. Now you have to keep in mind the HARDY'S went through a lot of retooling. They won their 1st Tag Team Titles while under the guideness of Michael P.S. Hayes. Soon after they would part ways with Hayes and join Gangrel in The New Brood Gimmick. That as well did not last. Finally it was their paring with Lita that Team Extreme were born and became one of the Greatest Tag Teams in WWE history winning an impressive 7 Tag Team Championships.

Edge and Christian- This team was also born out of the Gangrel Brood!! There 5 second poses were loved rather you like them or hated them. The Teri Invational Tournament Ladder match at No Mercy 1999 put this team and the Hardy Boys on the Tag Team Map.Their allaiances with Kurt Angle were priceless moments in the WWE. The Mick Foley Commisoner bit and trying to get Christain under weight to make a run at the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship with the chicken suit were outrageous laughable moments I will never forget. This team would go on to win 6 or 7 Tag team Titles as well. But Edge and Christian would be on to bigger and better things in their careers and TLC was right around the corner to elevate Edge and Christian,The Hardy Boys,and our next team.

The Dudley Boys- This team really made thier impact in a little promotion called ECW! This was to me the 1st team to be Extreme. The Table matches they have had our legendary!!! They have a Historic 20 time run as Tag Team Champions a feat that I think will never be beaten. They were the 1st team in history to Hold the ECW,WWE,WCW and TNA World Tag Team Titles. Bubba Ray Power Bombing Mae Young off the Raw stage was a shocking moment to say the least. Then at Wrestlemania 16 The 1st ever Triple Threat Ladder match took place which edge and Christian would go on to win and did this one ever steal the show. Then at SummerSlam That year the Dudley Boys Created TLC-Tables,Ladders,and Chairs with all 3 teams from Wrestlemania 16 and once agian history was made body were broken Bubba took a huge dive into about 5 to 7 tables I thought he was done . These 3 teams would go onto Wrestlemania 17 for TLC 2. This time interference was all over with Rhyno,Spike,And Lita all getting involved. but once again Edge and Christian went 2-0 in TLC matches that the Dudley Boys Created. I don't think that Edge and Christian, The Hardy Boys, and the Dudley's were never the same after these encounters.

Now I understand that I stayed with Tag Teams from the late 90's.But like I said at the begining that from 1990-1997 were just too much of the stupid gimmick Tag Teams. And  that 1998-2000 and a little bit past that brought back the late 70's into the complete 80's Tag Team Division that wrestling fans have grown to love.

So, In part 3 we will look at the year 2000 till now to really decide if Tag Team Wrestling is Dead Or Alive!!!
