What does Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, and CM Punk all have in common????

Sunday, August 30, 2009, 01:08 PM EST [General]

HI, WWE Universe it's been a while so I thought I would blog a litttle today.

So, I have had something on my mind and would like to put it out there! I have been a wrestling fan a very long time since the days of the Hulkster. And back then it was all 2 sides Good (Face) and Bad (Heel). But back then it was cool to be on the good side that's where you wanted to be with Hulk Hogan and other good guys that was what the 80's where all about.

Then 1996-97 came and the likes of the NwO and D-X and Stone Cold Steve Austin made it cool to be a bad guy. But WAIT A MINUTE! What about the good guys like Bret Hart who were good guys but then the fans made them bad guys for standing up for what they believed in? I mean how does that happen?

Bret Hart was a family man and believed in Family values and doing the right thing and standing up to the bad guy. But as I sat there at wrestlemaina 13 in the 16th row I witnessed history in the making as Bret Hart and Steve Austin traded places in a blink of an eye. And WHY? Weren't family values and doing the right things in life still the right thing to do. Bret Hart was chastised by the very Fans who believed in him and looked up to him for years and for WHAT a beer drinking foulded mouth S.O.B. who didn't follow the rules......

Let's fast forward to April 2008 Ric Flair had just been retired by HBK at wrestlemania 24. And the HBK VS. Y2J feud started and in my estimation one of the best well written abd thoughtout story lines in wrestling history. But here is another case of someone just telling the truth and or wanting the truth from HBK. For months Jericho wanted the truth from HBK and as soon as we got the truth from HBK the fans turned on Jericho. And I might say Jericho was right the whole time, but the fans still turned on him and ever since then Jericho has been trying to make everyone see he's not the bad guy.

But CM Punk is the one I would really like to address today in this blog. Here you have a WWE Superstar who does not drink, do drugs, he just lives a straight edge life style. What parent wouldn't want their kids to have a role model like that. So in June he cashes in money in the bank on Jeff Hardy just after he wins the World Heavyweight title and Punk beats him. Now I know I have stated this before in a past blog but it's called money in the bank for a reason it's not "The check your conscious at the door breifcase" That briefcase is there for a reason and punk like ANYONE else would have done the same thing.

CM Punk at Night Of Champions cut a great 10 minute Promo on Jeff Hardy and the life style that he has lived and how is wrestling style is just living for the momement I mean look at their match from Summerslam IF Jeff hardy wouldn't have done that swanton bomb off that ladder onto the announce table he would still be champion today. And I will say this and get a lot of HEAT for it What a stupid and showboating move by Jeff Hardy that is a move a rookie would have made.

But back to Punks promo at Night Of Champions he said everything pefectly and Hardy only made the point more at Summerslam. And the fans still turned their backs on Punk. WHY would you want to look up to someone who is reckless and takes risky moves in and out of the ring. I like Jeff Hardy don't get me wrong. But CM Punk like Jericho and Hart is just trying to do the right thing and show our children that there are people out there who believes in right and wrong and always wants to do what's right.

This is just something to think about kids..... CM Punk is still the good guy no matter how you spin it, twist it, make it CM Punk is the man right now on the mountain top!!! Now you tell me where is Jeff Hardy??????

RANDOM THOUGHTS FROM THE DESK OF THE HITMAN!!!!

Wednesday, July 8, 2009, 01:48 PM EST [General]

I haven't done a random thought blog in a long time kids so here we go.

First on the agenda The Rated R Superstar Edge all I can say is get well soon and Team Ego still Rocks... You really relaize what a talent you have on the rooster until he gets hurts and is out for an indefinate amount of time. All I have seen on these blogs are detractors of Edge saying get well (Hey, uh guys stop riding the fense) Edge Rocks and his presense will be sorely missed for the next few months..

Chris Jerico where does this leave him? I say put him back into the World Title picture WHERE HE BELONGS..... Next to Orton he is the best in the business right now period.... Besides you all hate him that = money in the bank for the WWE machine.

CM PUNK has been playing minds game with Jeff Hardy here these last few weeks. Now a Heel turn would be interesting for Punk. But this is starting to remind of June 1996? We all remember what happend then right? But the only difference here Punk is to straight edged and does not consume alot of Beer!! And what really strikes me is too many of you are turning on him way to quick? What if this is a big ruse won't you feel a little dumb.... Punk will continue to DOMINATE get use to it.. And oh... by the way do I feel a new master manuiplator being created.......

The HHH and John Cena match Monday on Raw was ok it won't be a classic like their last 2 matches have been. I was really disappointed to see how that really ended. But Randy thought he went through Hell at the Bash.. He has not seen Hell yet... I pick HHH to pick up his 15th Championship here in 2 weeks....

The Leagcy of Rhodes and Dibiase with Team Ego down and out should be the legimate choice to become the next unified world tag team champions. I honestly have not seen a team like this in years work so well together but not even be rewarded for their efforts. Granted they have 2 title reigns but those were short and were intended to get other teams over that in my estamation were already over in the fans eyes... At Night Of Champions the pupils will outshine the teacher!!!

ECW talent inatitive is as strong as ever! We have seen a lot of new up and comers step it and and make their marks. The one that stands out the most is the celtic warrior (and yes his name is too hard to spell lol) I see alot of good things coming from this youngster. And yes I will say this publicly ECW got the better end of the trade that Trump mastermided before his premature departure from the WWE. For some reson it felt like Shelton Benjamin feels right at home on ECW. I think it's Shelton's time to gain some Heavyweight Gold to add to his Gold resume... William Regal will add much leadership and knowledge to this young talent inatitive.

My final thought is this! The Million Dollar Man rightfully deserves a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame. Watching him on Raw the other night reminded me of years gone by and how well of a Heel he was with the likes of oppoents as Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Dusty Rhodes all World Champions by the way! And what a shame he was never truly a WWE Champion. And while I am talking Hall Of Fame I woud like to mention one more name Owen Hart!!!!

I would like to dedicate this Blog to my ex-wife who is loosing a battle with Cancer. The Doctor's don't give her much time. But I do know this she is a fighter and truly deserves to be called CHAMPION.  I love her very much and your prayers and thoughts would really help at this time.

    Untill next time

These have been random thoughts from the desk of the HITMAN!!!!

    No Mercy Predictions

Sunday, October 5, 2008, 07:00 PM EST [General]

Ok once again it's time for my No Mercy Predictions. At Summerslam I went 7-0 on my picks. at unforgiven I was 6-1 so my perdictions seem to be pretty right on so lets see how I do at No Mercy.

JBL vs. Batista: I will have to go with JBL. He is on a mission from hell to become Champion and I think he is way to focused to let anything get in his way especially the Mananimal. Batista is just riding along right now especially with the rumors about him wanting to retire in 2 years

    Winner: JBL

Rey vs. Kane: I will have to pick the underdog Mysterio in this one. There is no way that the WWE right now will have Rey unmask. He is way to over with the kid demographic and that's what the WWE and their new PG rating is wanting right now. Kane on the other hand tho is due for a shot at the WHC and should get one soon.

    Winner: Rey Mysterio

Undertaker vs. The Big Show: I will have to pick the Big Show and not because I want to. The Undertaker is banged up pretty bad (Again from internet rumor) and The storyline right now the way it is and The Big Show wanting a WWE Title match it would make sense that the Big Show wins. And maybe look for some surprise interference from someone who is Rated R.

    Winner: The Big Show

WWE Woman's Championship Beth Pheonix vs. Candice Michelle: I will have to pick Candice Michelle. She seems to be the talk of the woman's division at least from the aspect of becoming the next Champion. Beth in recent weeks has had too much fun with Santino plus if you add ticking off Batista Beth is not at her best right now. Add her losses to Kelly Kelly in the last few weeks(Maybe it should be Kelly Kelly getting the shot at the title here)

Winner: Candice Michelle with some unwanted help by Santino

ECW Title: Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry: I will pick Matt Hardy in this one. It's Matt's time plain and simple. Matt has worked way to hard to loose the title at this point. And Mark Henry is nothing but hot air. Enough said.

Winner: Matt Hardy with a clean 1-2-3 pinfall.

WWE Title: HHH vs. Jeff Hardy: This one is hard to pick. HHH and Koslov would make a good match for Cyber Sunday. On the other hand like his brother Matt it is Jeff's time to shine as WWE Champion. You will see some interference from Koslov and maybe The Brian Kendrick who does have a lot to prove and making this kind of statement during a high profile championship match would help his cause. If you can remember the last time these 2 meet was at Armageddon 2007 which Jeff walked away the winner. Too much going on in this match so I will pick experience over anything.

    Winner: HHH

WHC Title: Chris Jericho vs. HBK: These 2 over the last few months have been putting on wrestling clinics everytime they lock up. You add a Ladder match to all of this and I say we might have a classic on our hands. I would have to say that it is HBK time to have one more great title run. The fans have been asking for this over the last 3 or 4 years and sometime i wonder if the WWE even listens. His 3 or 4 Championship matches at Cyber Sunday which the fans do vote on should speak volumes that it truly is HBK's time. Jericho is a excellent Champion don't get me wrong. He really has taken over the Heel deparment since Edge has been away and Randy Orton has been Injured. If Jericho does win he as well will deserve it.

Winner: And NEW World Heavyweight Champion HBK

THE 22 MINUTE DEATH OF ECW

Monday, September 22, 2008, 08:55 PM EST [General]

Let me refresh your memories or maybe even educate some of you on the real reason ECW or atleast the E for EXTREME has been dead since 2006? Do you all remember ECW December to Dismember!!! It was really the 1st WWE all ECW pay-per-view that wasn't a One Night Stand!! On the card that night was An Extreme elmination chamber match for the ECW Title. That night Bobby Lashley would become ECW champion!

Now Paul Heyman from my view had some atonomy when it came to running ECW even thought it wasn't his anymore. From Storyline conception to talent Paul seemed to be the one still in charge of the Kool-Aid. I really believed in my heart of hearts that ECW was back look at all the Extreme rules matches. Big Show and Ric Flair (yes i said Ric Flair) Had the best Hardcore matches I have ever seen!! RVD vs. Hardcore Holly when Holly had his back tore open and was bledding like there was no tomorrow Holly even finished the match!!!

But back to my orginal thought here. The 1st thing i remember thinking about was the Event didn't even have a huge card or bulid up only The main event Extreme Elmination Chamber match. But then again when you have 2 pay-per-views in one month it does seem a little hetic,I mean after all I believe WWE was just looking at $ signs when it came to ECW and not the actual brand itself. But the one person who believed in ECW still was Paul Heyman.

Now your standard WWE pay-per-view usually lasts till around 10:45-10:50 PM. On this night the ECW pay-per-view got over at 10:28 PM. And was Vince or the high up's what ever coin you flip were inscensed that this happen. And the next thing I remember is Paul Heyman on TV apoplogizing and in Tears for what had happen. And this was the very last time we ever saw Paul Heyman in the WWE or ECW. And ever since then the Kool-Aid hasan't been the same in matter of a fact I don't know what we have been drinking for the last 2 years.

We've gone from the bingo hall to the penthouse and in my view i loved the bingo hall better than anything else. There have been some great WWE-ECW momements but none that will ever top Paul Heyman's ECW and that's what ECW needs if it intends to survive. But I will always remember the 22 minutes that killed ECW forever.
