HI, WWE Universe it's been a while so I thought I would blog a litttle today.
So, I have had something on my mind and would like to put it out there! I have been a wrestling fan a very long time since the days of the Hulkster. And back then it was all 2 sides Good (Face) and Bad (Heel). But back then it was cool to be on the good side that's where you wanted to be with Hulk Hogan and other good guys that was what the 80's where all about.
Then 1996-97 came and the likes of the NwO and D-X and Stone Cold Steve Austin made it cool to be a bad guy. But WAIT A MINUTE! What about the good guys like Bret Hart who were good guys but then the fans made them bad guys for standing up for what they believed in? I mean how does that happen?
Bret Hart was a family man and believed in Family values and doing the right thing and standing up to the bad guy. But as I sat there at wrestlemaina 13 in the 16th row I witnessed history in the making as Bret Hart and Steve Austin traded places in a blink of an eye. And WHY? Weren't family values and doing the right things in life still the right thing to do. Bret Hart was chastised by the very Fans who believed in him and looked up to him for years and for WHAT a beer drinking foulded mouth S.O.B. who didn't follow the rules......
Let's fast forward to April 2008 Ric Flair had just been retired by HBK at wrestlemania 24. And the HBK VS. Y2J feud started and in my estimation one of the best well written abd thoughtout story lines in wrestling history. But here is another case of someone just telling the truth and or wanting the truth from HBK. For months Jericho wanted the truth from HBK and as soon as we got the truth from HBK the fans turned on Jericho. And I might say Jericho was right the whole time, but the fans still turned on him and ever since then Jericho has been trying to make everyone see he's not the bad guy.
But CM Punk is the one I would really like to address today in this blog. Here you have a WWE Superstar who does not drink, do drugs, he just lives a straight edge life style. What parent wouldn't want their kids to have a role model like that. So in June he cashes in money in the bank on Jeff Hardy just after he wins the World Heavyweight title and Punk beats him. Now I know I have stated this before in a past blog but it's called money in the bank for a reason it's not "The check your conscious at the door breifcase" That briefcase is there for a reason and punk like ANYONE else would have done the same thing.
CM Punk at Night Of Champions cut a great 10 minute Promo on Jeff Hardy and the life style that he has lived and how is wrestling style is just living for the momement I mean look at their match from Summerslam IF Jeff hardy wouldn't have done that swanton bomb off that ladder onto the announce table he would still be champion today. And I will say this and get a lot of HEAT for it What a stupid and showboating move by Jeff Hardy that is a move a rookie would have made.
But back to Punks promo at Night Of Champions he said everything pefectly and Hardy only made the point more at Summerslam. And the fans still turned their backs on Punk. WHY would you want to look up to someone who is reckless and takes risky moves in and out of the ring. I like Jeff Hardy don't get me wrong. But CM Punk like Jericho and Hart is just trying to do the right thing and show our children that there are people out there who believes in right and wrong and always wants to do what's right.
This is just something to think about kids..... CM Punk is still the good guy no matter how you spin it, twist it, make it CM Punk is the man right now on the mountain top!!! Now you tell me where is Jeff Hardy??????

Ok, here we go... I don't agree with comparing Bret Hart & Chris Jericho, 2 of Canada's finest ever, with a Chicago, IL born & bred self proclaimed "Punk" who was nothing more than a giant dork growing up & all through high school. Picking up the name "Punk" probably just trying to fit in and further more IF his whole straight edge "never drank, did drugs, never even smoked a cigarette" line is true it's b/c none of the normal, cool, or popular kids let him hang around them after school! And hanging out with your mom & grandma 24/7 through your adolescent years, well, they don't let you drink smoke or do drugs. However, I'd love to know what kind of cough medicine he used growing up especially b/c he & I are around the same age (he's actually a little older) and back in the day i can't think of a brand that didn't contain alcohol, most today do< over the counter! And yes when you're making claims as bold as Punk then cough medicine does count against you! When you get on mic and insult how others parent their children, when you yourself don't even have children...cough medicine and everything else thinkable is going to count against you. lol
crackfuct2001There are more than one difference in the 3 of these guys. Things that Chris Jericho & Bret Hart remain to have in common that CM Punk will never have in common with them, other than where they come from ofcourse. Bret & Chris have got to work promo's without the scripting of today for one, and Jericho is the only one to have worked during the time when interviews and all the promo time were shoots, so one would have to ask him which way is best i guess. Also, Jericho and Hart both enjoyed very long runs as "good guys" before turning into hated wrestlers, Punk hasn't been around long enough even to come close! Jericho and Hart started out as "bad guys" with Jericho showing up in the middle of one of the Rock's promos years ago (in WWE the first time) and Bret's arrival was w/ Jim Neidhart and Jimmy Hart as the original Hart Foundation in the '80's-and they weren't liked! CM Punk came in as an ok kinda guy to ECW's brand quickly becoming everyone's favorite new wrestler on the show, which got him the title and drafted to the #1 show Raw right off the bat! Jericho and Bret Hart worked their **** off for what they've achieved and in Chris Jericho's case, are still achieving, Punk, is nothing more than a lucky **** with some friends in high places like Batista and Rey Mysterio. And that's real.
Now in all seriousness, who ever's writing Punk's promo's really should slack off a little when it comes to the parenting of other peoples kids before they mess around and another "Jericho hit a girl" incident occurs. Which, for those who don't know was not so much "Jericho hitting a girl" as it was a mob of people attacking Chris Irvine & his wrestling character, Chris Jericho after a show in Canada b/c they weren't intelligent enough to distinguish that he was PLAYING A CHARACTER. Just exactly the same way as Bret Hart was when he went on his anti-American rants in '97, and the way that Phil Brooks (CM Punk) is currently doing. Writers need to take into consieration the level of stupidity of a lot of the fans when writing for Phil Brooks b/c they're right a lot are addicted to something and its not wrestling! There are several people out there crazy and stupid enough to think everything out of Brooks mouth is from his heart when its from a writers desk and that could get him hurt someday if the writers aren't careful w/ what they've got him saying especially when it comes to how people raise/parent their own kids.
