    Tonight's RAW

Tuesday, February 17, 2009, 02:13 AM EST [General]

Well, another night of moral decline.  We see Edge win the belt, breaking all the rules to do it.  Breaking more rules so Cena couldn't have his rematch tonight.  Shane bound and determined to get some revenge for Orton kicking his father in the head.  Orton seeing a chance to get even with all the McMahons.  Orton decking Stephanie, a woman and his boss.  Gee, what kind of message is this sending our kids.  Grownups know this is all for entertainment (although a lot of it is not entertaining), but kids don't know that.  They see brother against brother, someone always skeeming to get ahead.  Three beating up one.  Rules always being broken.  No respect for bosses, let alone each other. No sportsmanship.  Heck, we hardly see any real wrestling.  What happened to the sport? No fairness in any match.  Most of the time, opponents are just beating each other up, trying to cause bodily harm.  I keep watching WWE and when I see all the little boys and girls in the audience, I wonder if they will go home taking what they've seen with them.  They are learning how to skeem, break the rules, physically hurt someone,  win at all costs.  WOW what a good thing to promote.  Granted, the WWE is not here to teach us anything but couldn't there at least be a few rules that could be followed.  I am tired of seeing the same wrestlers win due to cheating.  Play fair.

    A New Year

Friday, January 2, 2009, 02:57 AM EST [General]

I am so hoping the new year brings some better storylines for the WWE.  I liked the conflict between Stephanie and Shane but that fizzled out or wasn't pursued.  The current storyline with JBL and Shawn Michaels is very degrading for Shawn who has always been a great wrestler. JBL needs to go back to the announcers table because even if he has lost 100 pounds it hasn't improved his wrestling much.  I am so glad that Jeff Hardy has the championship belt, but did it have to take changing his look so drastically to get them to notice? He's always been good at wrestling and always puts out more than 100% every match.  I sure wish someone would kick Randy Orton in the head like he does to others just so he knows how it feels.  You don't have to try to really hurt the other guy all the time.  Pretty soon there won't be anyone left to wrestle!!! Anyway, I am hoping both Raw and Smackdown will be more interesting this next year.  Anyone got any ideas for storylines?  Let me know.

    My Cyber Sunday Adventure

Tuesday, October 28, 2008, 03:17 AM EST [General]

My daughter and I arrived early because the previous ppv we had attended in Las Vegas was crowded with thousands of people.  Not the case in Phoenix, and actually arrived too early to get into the parking garage.  Drove around for ten minutes, finally got in and parked.  Spent the next two hours chatting with fans, telling who our favorites were and who we wanted to win.  Because my daughter and I have trouble with stairs, we were escorted to a special elevator that would take us to the floor so we could get to our ringside seats.  As we were walking down this hallway, I see Evan Bourne off to the side talking on his cell. No one in our small group recognizes him except me, and I say Hi and wish him good luck with his match (not knowing he would be the one chosen). He says Thanks and we travel on.  This is the first time we have had ringside seats, so we are so excited. The match between Shelton Benjamin and R-Truth is first. I am sad that R-Truth does not come down thru the crowd, they were all expecting him to.  Everyone enjoys the match but all were hoping R-truth would win. Benjamin retains his belt.  As Benjamin walks up the ramp to leave, everyone cheers for R-Truth who is still in the ring. After the match, the announcers arrive and Lillian sings the National Anthem with such passion, I have goosebumps.  We are located right behind Matt Striker's announcing table. Rey Mysterio and Kane's match was next and from the start I thought Rey  was in trouble.  It is a No Holds Barred match and anything goes.  Kane brought in one of the steel steps right in front of us, and I thought for sure Rey would be slammed into it, but Rey managed to trip Kane and he fell face first into the V of the step.  Boy, it was a great match and Rey finally gets the win.  Being in the crowd is electrifying and everyone is so hiped.  Matt Hardy's match is next and sure enough Evan Bourne is his opponent.  I was so happy that I had wished him luck before the match, even though he lost to Matt Hardy.  Evan Bourne is such an upcoming star, he will go far.  This match too was electrifying and everyone is yelling and screaming beyond belief.  There are only two people in my section who are for Evan and we give each other the thumbs up.  Matt shakes Evan's hand after the match and what a great show of sportsmanship.  I am not too interested in the next match, Morrison & the Miz against Crime Time, as I know Crime Time will not win.  Don't know why WWE won't let them have at least one win!  Santino is up next and not exciting until Beth Phoenix gets him disqualified by tripping the Honky Tonk man. Then out comes Goldust and Roddy Piper and all three beat up Santino, but he remains the champ.  Vicky Guerrero comes out  and is booed while announcing the match between Big Show and Undertaker.  Undertaker comes out first and nothing beats being here, with the music and pyrotechnics. Television doesn't do it justice.  This was the best match for me. I couldn't tell who would win, it went back and forth for a long time. The match continued outside the ring and both the Undertaker and Big Show were close enough for me to reach out and touch.  It was fantastic. After they get back in the ring, Big Show goes to pick up the Undertaker and he puts the triangle choke on Big Show and Show taps out. Big Show is down on the matt and  Undertaker gets up by the count of 8 and it's over.  Big Show eventually walks up the ramp, head hanging low.  It takes quite a while for the Undertaker to get his legs under him so he can stay standing.  He comes down the steps and sits on them, still weak from the match.  The Divas all come out in their costumes and Mickie James is the winner.  Of course, they all start beating each other up and tearing up each other's costumes.  Waste of time.  Triple H and Hardy both come out with each of their fan nations cheering and yelling.  I like both so am torn as to who I want to win.  I know that Triple H will be the winner and sure enough he is. Sure wish Jeff could get the championship belt sometime in the future, but at the same time so glad Koslov was not voted in.  Long match but  both wrestlers always put on a good show and did so this time as well.  The next match is the one I have been waiting for all night.  Y2j arrives looking arrogant  and then the arena explodes when Bastista is announced.  Stone Cold is the referee!!!!!  After just a few minutes, Y2J gets out of the ring and tries to leave and keep his belt through disqualification. Stone Cold says the belt will go to Batista if Jericho doesn't get back in the ring.  He starts the count and Jericho gets back in the ring at the count of 7.  There was so much going on it was hard to keep track.  Bastista runs at Jericho who moves out of the way and Stone Cold is knocked out of the ring.  Jericho pins Batista but there is no one to count him out.  HBK comes in and he holds his arm in the air until Batista moves and never counts at all.  Batista pins Jericho and HBK starts to count and JBL pulls him out of the ring.  Cold Stone is back in but in no shape to referee.  Orton runs out and decks Cold Stone and throws him out of the ring. Batista and Jericho go at it again.  Before Orton has a chance to referee, Cold Stone gets back in the ring and a stunner to Orton.  Batista Bomb and a new champion.  The crowd goes wild (me too)!  Batista stays for his fans and we take it all in.  Great match.  It is the end.  Lillian wishes  everyone a good night and thanks us for coming.  We stay so they can untie the chairs, as we get to take them.  Great souvenier for buying a ringside seat.  You get the seat!  We are traveling down the same corridor to get to the elevator and who do we see?  William Regal!! Got his autograph and a picture and told him I hope we get to see him in the ring more often. We leave to go to the motel and I am on a HIGH.  It is now Tuesday morning 12am and I am still high.  Great show, great gift from my husband and great feeling being with other members of the fan nation.  Got a couple of emails to exchange pictures and I strongly recommend anyone to go to a ppv if you can.  It is an event of a lifetime.  I have been to two and hope to go to more if I can.  What a GREAT feeling!

When I need a Wrestling Fix

I have these pictures as a file for my screensaver.  Sometimes when I need a wrestling fix, I turn on my computer let it be idle for two minutes, and then just watch the show.  I also have some personal ones I took at NO WAY OUT which look good on my computer but when I tried to download them to this site were very blurry, so I left those ones out. Hope you like what I have here.  Does anyone else do this, or am I the only obsessed one?  Let me know with a comment.
