SmackDown Recap...

The July 18, 2008 Edition of SmackDown opened with a video advertising the wedding of Edge & Vickie Guerrero.

After this another video was shown from earlier in the day and it was Edge and Vickie's wedding. The reception was to be throughout the night on SmackDown.

The first segment began with Hawkins and Ryder, Bam Neely, the wedding planner, the best man Chavo Guerrero and of course the bride Vickie Guerrero and the groom Edge. During this promo Chavo spoke about Edge and Vickie. He said the love that the couple shared was the greatest love of all. Chavo said he was honored to be the best man. Next Edge spoke for a few minutes about his bride Vickie and ended the segment by saying it was time to get the show going.

Finlay and Hornswoggle made their way to the ring. After their music stopped Edge went on the mike and said he would be the special guest referee for their match against Hawkins and Ryder. HAWKINS & RYDER DEFEATED FINLAY & HORNSWOGGLE when Edge hit Finlay with a spear and made the fast count.

The next segment featured Vickie and Edge as they had their first dance as husband and wife. Midway through the segment Big Show interrupted by dancing with Vickie Guerrero. Edge cut the music and had Big Show wrestle Vladimir Kozlov, Shelton Benjamin, MVP and The Great Khali in a 4-on-1 Handicap Match. The match went to a NO CONTEST when the referee rang the bell because he lost controll of the match. All four men beat down Show as Edge and Vickie watched on from the stage.

When SmackDown returned from commercial break Vickie Guerrero had the bouquet ready to throw out to the Divas. Cherry got the flowers. Vickie Guerrero than said because Cherry got the bouquet she would get a special match with Vickie, but first she would have to face Natalya. Natalya destroyed Cherry with the Sharpshooter then Vickie pinned Cherry and picked up the 1-2-3.

Umaga vs. Mr. Kennedy... Kennedy was up next. Umaga hit the Samoan Spike to defeat Kennedy.

Next was a video of Edge's "Spicier Side" as he starred in an upcoming Slim Jim commercial.

JOHN MORRISON & THE MIZ DEF. JESSE & FESTUS

The final match of the night was by order of the bride & groom and it was a brother vs. brother match between Matt & Jeff Hardy. This match was the second match of the night to go to a no contest because La Famiglia hit the ring and beat down the Hardy Boyz.

The final segment of the night featured La Famiglia in the ring. Edge and Vickie talked about their wedding and their love for each other. During this segment Triple H interrupted and showed a video of Edge hitting on the wedding planner and ripping on Vickie saying she wore huge pants. The video ended with Edge and the wedding planner making out. After seeing this Vickie freaked out to end the show.

SmackDown Recap:

The July 11, 2008 Edition of SmackDown (which aired July 12th) opened with a video package highlighting Edge losing the World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk from RAW on June 30, 2008 which led to him calling off his wedding with Vickie Guerrero on the July 4th Edition of SmackDown.

The 1st segment of the night featured the Rated- R Superstar Edge. During the in-ring promo Edge cut he talked about the Great American Bash and stated he would prove his critics wrong who thought he was only World Champion because he had Vickie Guerrero in his corner. He said he would do this when he defeated HHH and once again became the WWE Champion.

In a descent opening contest, SHELTON BENJAMIN DEFEATED U.S. CHAMPION MATT HARDY in a non-title match.

The next segment featured Vickie Guerrero, Curt Hawkins, and Zack Ryder. Hawkins and Ryder requested a match with Jesse & Festus and were granted that match by G.M. Guerrero. The segment ended with Vickie crying and Hawkins and Ryder comforting her.

MVP came out to be the special commentator for the next bout. MR. KENNEDY DEF. DOMINO in a squash type situation where Kennedy controlled 90% of the match and hit the Mike Check for the pinfall. After the match Umaga hit the ring and attacked Mr. Kennedy and gave him the Samoan Spike, much to the approval of MVP (who was still at ringside).

Chavo, Edge, and Bam Neely were seen backstage. Chavo told Edge if he was in the situation Edge was in last week he would have also called off the wedding and he couldn't believe what Vickie was doing to him. Chavo then said he would go to Vickie's office to straighten it out and give her a piece of his mind.

After the commercial break, Chavo and Neely barged into Vickie's office and Chavo did the opposite of what he told Edge when he sided with Vickie and said he couldn't believe what Edge was doing when he called off the wedding. Vickie didn't buy this and in turn put Chavo in a match with Triple H for later on in the night.

John Morrison & The Miz vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle was up next. After an okay match FINLAY & HORNSWOGGLE DEF. MIZ & MORRISON when Finlay used the shillelagh and Hornswoggle hit the Tadpole Splash and The Miz.

A video package was shown of Jeff Hardy. The package highlighted Hardy being on the current cover of the WWE Magazine.

HHH came out to a standing ovation, as noted by Jim Ross. TRIPLE H DEFEATED CHAVO GUERRERO with the pedigree.

NATALYA & MARYSE DEF. MICHELLE McCOOL & CHERRY. After the match Natalya attacked Michelle McCool. The two would be meeting to crown the first ever Diva's Champion at the Great American Bash on Sunday, July 20.

JESSE & FESTUS DEFEATED HAWKINS & RYDER by count out. After the count out Festus transformed back to his helpless state and then Hawkins and Ryder went back into the ring and took out both Jesse and Festus. Jesse rolled out of the ring and rang the bell and the tables turned as Festus turned back into a monster and Jesse and Festus beat down Hawkins and Ryder.

A video package was shown highlighting the career of the 12x King of Kings Triple H.

La Famiglia was backstage arguing to start the next segment. Vickie Guerrero said that if any of them tried to help Edge in his No DQ match against Big Show they would be fired. She also stated that if Edge tried to back out of the match she would fire him too.

The RAW Rebound was shown next which was a video package about the RAW from July 7th.

It is now time for the main event of the night-- No Disqualification Match: Big Show vs. Edge. EDGE VS. BIG SHOW WENT TO A NO CONTEST. Vickie Guerrero was watching at ringside. Big Show dominated Edge and was prepared to give Edge a con-chair-to when Vickie Guerrero stopped the match and saved Edge from a potential serious injury. After the final bell sounded ending the match, Edge and Vickie reconciled their love for each other. 

Currently on wwe.com you will see the headline report as REKINDLED LOVE and it states that after this edition of SmackDown went off the air Edge once again asked Vickie to marry him. Will Vickie Guerrero & Edge actually get married? Or will their love be tested once again as Triple H has to have some "words" for Edge as the next SmackDown falls just three days before HHH and Edge battle it out for The Game's WWE Championship at the Great American Bash?
