SmackDown Recap...

The opening contest of the night to start the August 15th edition of SmackDown was for the United States Championship and the contender for Shelton Benjamin's title was the Unique Enigma Jeff Hardy. JEFF HARDY DEFEATED SHELTON BENJAMIN by disqualification when MVP interferred and knocked Jeff Hardy off the ropes when he went to hit the Swanton for the finish. Shelton Benjamin retains his United States title off the DQ. After the match, Jeff Hardy hit MVP with a Twist of Fate and then hit both MVP and Shelton Benjamin with Swanton Bombs. 

The first segment of the night featured Vickie Guerrero and SmackDown Diva Victoria. Vickie Guerrero was worried about The Undertaker and Edge showing up to "get her". She began to cry to end the segment.

NATALYA & MARYSE DEF. MICHELLE McCOOL & MARIA

Before his match, The Brian Kendrick headed out to the ring with Ezekiel Jackson to cut a promo. THE BRIAN KENDRICK w/ EZEKIEL JACKSON DEF. SCOTTY GOLDMAN (jobber). After the match, Ezekiel attacked Goldman.

Triple H is seen backstage with Eve Torres. During his interview Kenny Dykstra interrupted and told The Game he would be facing him later on in the night.

Triple H's SummerSlam opponent The Great Khali hit the ring to cut a promo. During the promo, HHH came out. After the Cerebral Assassin Kenny Dykstra hit the ring and the bout was underway. Khali stayed at ringside.

After the pedigree, TRIPLE H DEFEATED KENNY DYKSTRA. After the match, HHH brawled with Khali. He clotheslined Khali out of the ring and the two staredowned as Khali exited.

BIG SHOW DEF. RYAN REDDICK (jobber) in a squash match.

MVP was backstage when Eve walked up. She began to talk, but MVP snatched the microphone away from her and cut a promo about Jeff Hardy, Jeff's personal life and their match at SummerSlam. He ended the promo with his signature "I am better than you."

Vickie Guerrero and Victoria were seen once again backstage. Vickie was still worried about The Undertaker and Edge, saying she should of never went to SmackDown. She then asked Victoria to take her to her limo.

Another R-Truth vignette was shown.

After the video package, Victoria was rolling Vickie to her limo and the window in the back rolled down revealing Edge. Vickie screamed and fell to the ground. Edge got out of the limo and told Vickie he was taking her to hell. Vickie once again began to cry. Edge wheeled Vickie on her "ride to hell" and kicked his heals together to end the segment.

A video package for RAW's SummerSlam main event match John Cena vs. Batista was shown.

Edge was still wheeling Vickie around backstage. Vickie was screaming and Edge said he would take her out to the ring to "end the ride". The very happy couple hit the ring and Edge began to cut a promo about marriage. He then had a video shown highlighting the two and their love for each other. Edge yelled at Vickie telling her to apologize to The Undertaker. Vickie apologized and Edge then began to beg The Undertaker to come out to the ring. He also told Vickie that at SummerSlam in Hell in a Cell it would be "Edge and The Undertaker... 'til death do us part." Edge dropped the mike and stood over Vickie to end the show.
