    Dream Matches

Wednesday, February 18, 2009, 01:18 PM EST [General]

"What would be your dream match?  Use any superstar, any era, any year, any league."  This question was posed in another website so I wanted to bring that question here.  I've been a WWF/E, NWA, WCW, ECW fan for a long time (I have only seen a handful of TNA shows that I can cound on one hand).  Here is my Dream Wrestlemania Supershow...

Boogeyman vs. Abdula The Butcher vs. Cactus Jack vs. Terry Funk vs. Goldust vs. The Great Muta vs. New Jack vs. The Sandman- Hardcore Rules

    Owen Hart vs. Matt Hardy

    Umaga vs. Kamala

    Nikita Kolov vs. Vladimir Kozlov

    Kane vs. Abyss- Inferno Match

    Sting vs. The Undertaker

Steamboat vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Jeff Hardy

Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle (I loved this match up, still do)

    Lex Luger vs. Batista

    Demolishion vs. The Dudley Boyz

The Four Horsemen (Flair, Anderson, Blanchard, Windham) vs D-Generation X (HHH, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, X-Pac)

    John Cena vs. Bret Hart

Randy Orton vs. Diamond Dallas Page

Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin

    Wrestlemania 35

Friday, February 6, 2009, 01:11 PM EST [General]

This is not a typo.  I was reading some postings on Wrestlezone.com and saw questions about how the WWE has not been good since the Attitude Era and since then they only have produced about 3 good talents since then.  Orton, Batista and Cena (their opinion, not  mine).  Then this got me thinking: What would Wresltemania be like in 10 years?  Who would be there?  What would it resemble?  Lets look at some questions?

    1. Vince would be edging toward his mid-70s, would he be still making appearences, be out completely or would Shane or Stephanie take over as the McMahon "CEO/Chairman?"

    2. Would Undertaker, HBK, JBL, Finlay, William Regal, Edge, Big Show, Triple H be retired?

    3. Would the Main Event for the WWE and World Titles be a combination of Bourne vs. Morrison? Maybe even Kennedy vs. MVP? CM Punk vs. Christian Cage? Jeff Hardy vs.  Shelton Benjamin? Matt Hardy vs. Umaga?

    4. What wrestlers in WWE would have gone to another league like TNA?

    5. Any TNA stars come back to the WWE?  Who would make the jump back that hasn't made Vince mad?

    6. Could Wrestlemania get any bigger than 93,173 in Detroit?

    7. Matt Hardy or Jeff Hardy still have an impact?

    8. Would Cena or Orton be the face of Wrestlemania 10 years from now?

These are interesting because the discussion on the forum also said that the WWE has "paper champions" in the mid-card areas.  I can easily see Morrison, CM Punk, Kennedy, MVP, Kendrick, Bourne sent up to Main Event Status.

I have no real opinion but I say the one superstar that can hold the business on their shoulders is John Morrison.  I see him as the future of the business, you can give me your opinions if you'd like to, this was just a curious question and would love feedback.

    Heroes

Tuesday, February 3, 2009, 04:58 PM EST [General]

With about 9 minutes to go before I clock out of work, I just read that Barry Bonds had a urine sample from 2003 come back positive for PED (Performing Enhancement Drugs).  This compiled with Michael Phelps getting caught smoking weed from a bong and lets not mention all of the other athletes, musicians, actors, actresses with skeletons in their closets.

I beg the question: Who is a hero that has not done drugs, smoked or who has NOT done something illegal.  WWE past and some present excluded...who are this generations heroes?  I am turning 30 years old in May.  I have always looked up to certain people that have now fallen out of the limelight, excluding Batman, but he is a fantasy hero.  With this texting, facebook, youtube age, who are the heroes of their generation? A generation that seems to lack in a hero that is clean, there for the greater good and no problems with the law.  A true hero.

I am tired of hearing excuses from celebrities, athletes and other famous people about their misguided antics only to "feel sorry" for them in a pre-written statement from a publicist.

Anyone can give me a true example of a hero, feel free to let me know.  I have no idea who would qualify now-a-days.

3 minutes to go and I'm gone.  Got to punch out.

    My Three Year Old

Friday, January 30, 2009, 11:33 AM EST [General]

It is so funny what comes out of the mouth of a child.  I have two toddlers Selina who is 4 and Sophia who is 3. They have adopted my Mr. Kennedy action figure. I got for Christmas to add to my collection.  The idea was for it to join my others up in my office but my girls got to it first.  He's been seen playing and dancing with Belle, Cinderella and all of the other Disney Princesses that my girls love playing house with every day.

Two nights ago my girls were about to go up to take a bath and I found the action figure on the ground so I picked it up and I said "MMMISTERRRRRR!!!!!!"  Wouldn't you know it Sophia said out of nowhere in the cutest little voice "KENNEDY!"

I have never laughed so hard in all of my life.

So this mornning I was driving them to the babysitters and I put on the Raw 15th Anniversary CD and played Kennedy's Theme.  I think I played it five times on the ride there.  In the beginning of the song when he says "MMMISTERRRRR..."  I'd turn it down so Sophia would say KENNEDY.  We laughed so much now my other daughter, Selina, joined in with saying KENNEDY too.

    You gotta love it.

    Direct TV, DirecTV, DIRECTV

Friday, January 16, 2009, 11:43 AM EST [General]

How ever way you spell my Title for this blog, it doesn't matter.  Only thing that matters is that I now am the proud owner of a dish and over 150 channels.  I also finally saw Raw at my own house for the first time IN OVER 4 YEARS!  I usually went to my Mom's or Dad's on occasion but now I can see it every Monday!

I can not wait to hold my Wrestlemania 25 party at my house too.  I has to be at my house now that i have PPV too.  I love this new technology.  Instead of the normal 3, 5 and 8 that we get in NE Ohio I can look for other things.

Now, onto my true reason for the blog.  I, for the first time in a long time, tried to give the NBA, particularly the Cleveland Cavaliers, the time of day.  I had liked the Cavs in the 80s and part of the 90s until they moved to the Gund/Q from the Richfield Coliseum where my mother and father both worked for part time.  When contacts and pay checks got way too high and the attitude of most NBA players crossed the line to insulting, I stopped watching, caring, etc.  In fact I could say with ease that I hate the NBA despite the Cavaliers having LeBraun and the best record this season so far.

With my new Direct TV I saw that the Cavs were playing the Bulls last night and I decided to give the game a chance.  Why not.  Well, the Cavs lived up to my expectations and for the frist time in probably over 15 years I watched the Cavs in Cleveland fashion...lose.  What's the point of even trying to care.  Well, thanks LeBraun, thanks Mo Williams, thanks Daniel Gibson, you had me for at least 10 minutes in the first quarter, then the bordom and sloppy playing made for painful 3 quarters.  Typical Cleveland.  Overrated, hyped up and led to a disappointment.  I stopped watching after the first quarter and my wife and I watched Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice instead.

So in short, still hate the Cavs, still hate the NBA and still don't care and will never care again.  What's the point of getting involved only to disappoint.  This is why, even though I live in Northeast Ohio, I am only a fan of one local team, The Indians.  They have a lot of players I watched in the minor leagues with the Akron Aeros (a team that plays 10 minutes from my house and where I love spending time in the summer).  I was heartbroken when $.$. $abathia took off for the Yankees but whatever, that is also typical Cleveland.

You know, I do have 149 other channels to watch and Mondays/Thursdays I have shows/performers and matches that never disappoint.
