    Predictions OMG!

Monday, July 7, 2008, 03:52 PM EST [General]

I am finally back from vacation and to a computer.  Love the fact that the only message I got when I came back was from Natalya.  Thanks for getting back to me.  I was unable to order Night of Champions but I did see Raw and Smackdown.  Let me tell you this: I was right with almost all the matches...here is the run down:

WWE: Prediction was HHH, winner was HHH (1/1)

Heavy Weight: Prediction was Batista, winner Edge (1/2)

ECW: Prediction was Big Show, winner Mark Henry (1/3)

WWE Tag: Predicted Dibiase and Rhodes, winner was Dibiase and Rhodes (2/4)

Smackdown Tag: predicted M/M, winner was M/M (3/5)

Womens: predicted Mickie, winner was Mickie (4/6)

US Title: prediction was Matt, winner was Matt (5/7)

IC: prediction was Kofi VS Y2J and it was Kofi winning (6/8)

This was amazing...I wonder if the writers are reading these blogs and message boards that we have to pick up on what the fans want.  In that case...

When Deuce comes back, call him  Jimmy "The Deuce" Snuka (deuce meaning 2 in this manner, he is the adopted son of Jimmy
"Superfly" Snuka) and put him with Cody and Ted as the 2nd Generation Stable.

    A Week Vacation

Friday, June 27, 2008, 02:31 PM EST [General]

On Saturday, I will be taking a vacation to Talon Lake near North Bay, Ontario, Canada for a week.  My wife's grandparents used to take her mother, and her mother has taken her and now we are taking my daughters (Selina, 3 and Sophia, 2) to the great cabin we stay at each summer.  Unfortunately, there is no computer there so I will be off of Fan Nation in the cabin BUT this cabin has satellite.  I still get to see Raw and Smackdown and if we can plan it right, get Night of Champions.

Funny that the cabin we are staying at is the only one that has any of these.  Some of the others don't even have a bathroom or shower.  I guess way back before I was in the picture, my wife used to bathe in the lake since there was no shower or running water.

Well since NOC is coming up, here are my predictions:

ECW: New Champion Big Show (since Kane is on Raw)

    WWE: Triple H

Heavyweight: Batista (switching the belts and getting Edge rivalry started with Hunter)

Raw Tag Team: Dibiase and ??? (Cody heel turn)

Smackdown Tag Team: Miz and Morrison

    Womens: Mickie

Divas:  Vickie (will be the opponent and Natalya will be screwed by La Familia)

    US: Matt "Hitman" Hardy

IC: umm....it's supposed to be defended yet no match has been made.  I'd love to see Jericho vs. Kofi and Kofi win it.

I think that's all.  Well, see you in a week.

BTW: 4th wedding anniversary is July 4th!  Yeah us!

    Future of WWE

Thursday, June 26, 2008, 08:34 AM EST [General]

I see the future of the WWW going towards the better because you have the two top guys in the company on both of the top brands.  Cena on Raw and HHH on Smackdown.  I see a lot of huge opportunities on Raw for many of the lower card guys like Kofi Kingston and the single Deuce especially.  I see them getting the Intercontinental title very quickly.  That is if that is where the WWE sees them going.  I am excited to see where they are going with the draft picks.  After NOC, I see Smackdown only having one major belt along with the Diva's title (does anyone think it will be Natalya vs. Vickie and La Familia screwing Natalya?) and the tag titles (Miz/Morrison is probably the better team).  I hope with Smackdown, we get Kennedy vs. HHH or Kennedy vs. Edge.  Heck, MVP vs. Edge or MVP vs. HHH even looks like it could work.  ECW is a moot point now because with the SUPER heavyweights as the main stars, I don't see Evan Bourne or the smaller guys being in the title hunt (once Kane loses the title to Show or Henry-I hope not Henry although he has tenure in the WWE and with the injuries, he could have been bigger sooner).

Again, we'll see what happens in the next week or so with the change...remember when we saw the Dudleys split up in the first draft?  It was weird seeing Reverend D-Von, but you know, we would not have Batista if they didn't.

Out of all of the moves from the draft, I see Kofi, Deuce and Matt Hardy being the top guys.  I can smell a transition coming.  Led, I hope, by Mr. Kennedy and MVP.  HHH, HBK, Y2J, Rey, Cena, Edge, Batista and Undertaker are all great performers but I see them getting stale and a new blood needs to be entered in.  I like them all but new rivals and stories are what the WWE need.

I'm looking forward to seeing what is going to happen.  I hope you are too.

    2008 WWE Draft

Tuesday, June 24, 2008, 09:48 AM EST [General]

Now that the draft is over, who was the show that won out?  A shock to say that this was RAW.  However, SMACKDOWN has both champions and RAW has the ECW champion on the shows so you all know what that means?  Big Show will win and HHH or Edge will lose on Night of Champions.

I would like someone else to champion for once.  We have HHH, Cena, Edge and Batista being the only ones involved int he race? Are we saying that there is no one else to fight for the title?  So who are Jericho, MVP, Kennedy, Jeff Hardy?  They don't deserve to be in the running?  Really?

Now ECW lost out big time and the only "NAME" they got was Matt Hardy.  They lost CM Punk and YET AGAIN the ECW Champion, Kane.  If you remember, they lost Lashley last draft.

Triple H on Smackdown would be good to see because he would be the dominate face on the show opposing Edge, Umaga, La Familia and MVP who seem to be the only heels on the show.  We'll see with the jump to MyNetwork TV, how the new roster goes.

CM Punk on RAW is perfect! He deserves it.  Welcome to the Pros.

I for one am in favor of the entire overhaul and not just a couple of guys.  Sad to see no women/divas went anywhere.  Mickie vs. Natalya would be a good one to see.

    Deuce and Domino

Monday, June 23, 2008, 10:27 AM EST [General]

Now I usually read Smackdown results on Wrestlezone because I have no time throughout the week to watch the show (2 kids do that to you).  This time, I caught Smackdown and I was not happy about the recent break up of Deuce and Domino.

I liked them as a team.  I wanted them to have more character development, however.  When they fought on this weeks show, the crowd, as well as myself, didn't know who to root for in the break up and the fight.  Deuce and Domino did not get a good set up for this either.  Why were they fighting?  Was it over Cherry?  What happened to the Maryse thing?

When most teams break up, those things are covered.  When The Rockers broke up, Michaels was the heel of that situation from his actions.  There was no heel or face in the Deuce and Domino fight and that is what led to the silence during that match.

Now, I was pushing more for Deuce because I have learned recently (rumor as far as I know) that he is Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka's son and this 2nd Generation Stable is starting up with him involved.

I don't know what to expect now with those two as singles wrestlers but with the Draft today.  Maybe they will be re-packaged but I don't see them as RAW superstars unless they are with someone else in a team or stable.  Domino looks to be ECW bound unless they develop him further.  We'll see.
