    Summerslam and...

Monday, August 18, 2008, 09:00 AM EST [General]

    Hey everyone,

I wanted to say that I watched Summerslam ( I have never misse one) and I think that it was a roller coaster of a show.  Here's what I thought:

MVP vs. Jeff Hardy: Jeff always looks like he is sore coming to the ring. MVP looked overweight.  The match had a lot of rest holds.  When everything got moving, Jeff pulled the usual stuff in his matches.  He needs new stuff in his matches if he wants to be considered main event.  MVP needs his entrance back with the tunnel.  That was cool.  Shelton interfering?  What's going on there?  Are we possibly seeing Nation of Domination 2.0?  Who knows. I have began the drum beating for Evan Bourne and Shelton to have a feud.  Hope someone is listening.

Intergender title match: I would have rather seen these be two matches rather than one and have a tag team or US title defended.  Santino, funny, does not deserve the IC belt again BUT my girl Beth did deserve the Woman's title.  Marella-zon may be funny but Beth needs to stay intense.  Oh and why would Maria be even close to a threat to Beth Phoenix?  Maria is a ditz and can not even come close the ring talent.  Out of everyone who got screwed here, it's Kofi.  I don't have cable so I can't see him all the time, but the guy is a high flyer and can definately be tops in the league.  I hope he doesnt get lost in the shuffle.

Shawn's announcement: Shawn, Rocky Balboa called he wants his storyline back.  I hope Jericho takes you out for good.  I was a HUGE Michaels fan back in the day but now...he looks old and broken.

CM PUNK vs JBL: I was rooting for Punk the whole time.  He is my favorite WWE Star and I love the fact they are making him a champion that is "holding on" to the title rather than having him "defend it."  Makes me root even louder.  I think he should stay champion because he is the new image of WWE, TVPG with a champion who doesn't drink, smoke and do drugs.  Great for the kids.  Good message.  I loved the "I will bleed for this!" after the match.  Being Straightedge myself, keep CM PUNK "The Man."  I will be at Unforgiven in Cleveland with my "I came for CM PUNK" sign.

HHH vs. Khali: Why is Khali still in the main event for title shots.  His "You can't wrestle" chants won't stop so why won't he get better training.  He was in there with a ring veteran in HHH and he made Khali look better than he was.  Khali needs to do a better job with the "vice grip" because if he is sqeezing "that hard" his hands don't need to be moving as much.  I'm glad HHH won.  BTW if you ask the kids what the H's mean in HHH's name, I bet they won't know.

Cena vs. Batista: Again, I didn't know who would win.  Normally with WWE I can predic winners really well.  This time, I had no idea.  Nice to see Batista win.  I hope all of the 13 year olds aren't crying too much.  BTW my wife watched with me and said, "Batista's hot!"

Undertaker vs. Edge: No Blood?  I wonder if this was because of the new rating.  I was expecting some, but it was a brutal match regardless.  No interfering, just carnage.  I so predicted the dropping through the ring at the end and loved the "fire" coming out of the ring.  Very cool.  Hope 'Taker comes back full time.

Oh and was there an ECW title match?  I blinked and it was over...why aren't the writers high on this?  Matt Hardy deserves better than this.  His matches with MVP and his apparent US title run cut short due to his Appendexomy and then him winning it only to lose to Shelton Benjamin and go to the Minor League ECW?  Now he is a...um...main eventer?  Bad idea.

Unforgiven is a Raw show so I think...

    Kane vs. Rey

CM Punk vs. Batista vs. Cena (or a combo of these)

    Jericho vs. Michaels

    Dibiase/Rhodes vs. Cryme Tyme

    Kofi Kingston vs. Santino Marella

    Beth vs. Mickie

    I don't know...we'll see.

    Later.

    Beth Phoenix AND Unforgiven

Thursday, August 14, 2008, 02:21 PM EST [General]

I want each and everyone of you who read this to check out Beth Phoenix's photo shoot as Batman and The Joker.  I do not think she has EVER and I mean EVER look as hot as she has in the black Batman-esque shoot.

The posing and her facial expression just made me melt when I saw that.  Why won't they turn her 'face and have her be like The Huntress?  That would be so perfect.

I can not wait to see her at Unforgiven.  My father and I got tickets for the Cleveland PPV and will be rooting for Beth in any way I can.

For those who are working for the WWE and read this, I have a great match up for you for that PPV: Evan Bourne vs. Shelton Benjamin.

    Oh and ECW's Tiffany...we welcome you....any time.

    The Darkest Knight

Wednesday, July 16, 2008, 03:35 PM EST [General]

I was reading WWE.COM and saw that poll with the darkest night in WWE history.  Anyone who has followed the WWE for some time knows that there are several nights that were not on there.  I may anger the "powers that be" by naming them but I believe the darkest nights have to be (in no particular order):

    1. Owen Hart

    2. Kane taking his mask off

    3. The new ECW

    4. Chris Benoit

    5. Undertaker cutting his hair as BIG EVIL/Biker

    6. Eddie Guerrero

    7. Stone Cold Steve Austin's neck injury.

    8. Discontinuing the Cruiserweight Title

    9. Shawn Michaels fight with gang outside of a bar

    10. Losing Hall, Nash and countless others to WCW.

Tell me what you think?  I know WWE can't mention some of those but I wanted to add these here.

    A Justice League WWE Style

Thursday, July 10, 2008, 03:51 PM EST [General]

Hear me out: Stemming from my last entry, I came up with potential JLA or Avengers Stable members:

    Undertaker- Batman

    John Cena- Captain America

    Rey Mysterio- Spider-man

    The Hurricane- Green Lantern

    Batista- Hulk

    Beth Phoenix- Wonder Woman

Also with the story line of bringing in comics, Undertaker as Batman and Kane as Bane (that's obvious) could mirror the Knightfall Storyline.  Kane attacking The Undertaker and "breaking him."  As the Undertaker is "hurt" a replacement takes the Undertaker's place to fight Kane until he returns all culminating at Wrestlemania where the streak continues.

    If a Heel stable happens-

    JBL- Magneto

Batista- as a heel- Juggernaut or Vladimir Kozlov as Juggernaut

    Kane- Bane

    Big Daddy V- The Blob

The Miz- The Riddler (I can see it, he can pull that off)

    What do you think?

    Raw's NO MAN'S LAND

Tuesday, July 8, 2008, 12:33 PM EST [General]

With things the way they are going, I see Raw turning into NO MAN'S LAND like the Batman story arc for those who have read it, you'll know where I'm going...

Gotham had an earthquake that destroyed most of Gotham and the US government abandoned it and cut off Gotham from the country and, most of all, funding to help the ravaged city.  Gang warfare began and the GCPD became involved as did Batman with his own gang.

With no Vince or GM Regal, Raw has no leader.  Things are crashing down, falling over, fans are getting through on stage, wrestlers are making the matches...I see this turning the same way as the story line of NML.

Gangs too.  We have CTC but I see JBL forming one, I can also see CM Punk and even a Second Generation Stable starting.  All, of course, fighting for the title and "leader of Raw."

What would be the best thing EVER is if a Batman stable started with none other than THE HURRICANE as the leader with his own stable of WWE stars as superheroes (Justice League-esque).  Rey Mysterio already has a mask, he'd be the Spider-man of the group. Batista could be The Hulk of the group. This would make sense because of the WWE aiming toward a younger crowd.  Adding a comic realm to the show would be perfect.

I would love it if this took place and with the rumor of Gregory Helms returning, what a better way to re-introduce him as the savior of Raw (although Y2J would work here but he's heel right now and in a darn good feud with Michaels).

What do you think?  Let me know.

    Parker.
