IF YOU LOOK AT MY STATUS...THE RETURN OF MR. WULFF BEGINS 2009-2010...
This is because it is official, Mr. Wulff is back!
He has passed his PRAXIS II test and is now a teacher again. It has been a long struggle. Full of bumpy roads and disappointments. Here is the journey ffrom falling from grace to climbing the mountain top once more...
I was a teacher from 2002-2007. I was in contact with the Ohio Department of Education for my last year and a half about my new license and there was a miscommunication between us and I was not able to renew my license. I had to resign from my teaching position and be out of work from August 2007 to October 2007.
I began work, temporarily, at the Head and Neck Institute at the Cleveland Clinic as a Medical Secretary. Granted, it was not the best thing but it's a job and I needed something. Now, in the same month I took the teaching test so I can renew my license and failed by 1 point. 1 point!!!
Fastforward three tests later and still a failed score was haunting me. 9, 11 and 13 respectively. I was going to take it for a 5th time. 1 point again!!! But the thing was, it was the wrong test. They had updated the requirements and i was taking the wrong test in Ohio. So this, to me, was a new opportunity. New test, new questions, fresh start. 3/14/09 was the test date for my new venture...
I took the test and smiled at question #2. I was so confident that this was it that when I closed my test booklet I had 10 minutes to go. I went back and changed a few things because that back of my mind feeling came up when there was a string of 10 answers that didn't have 'A.' You're told not to think of a pattern but I had to...
Well I told everyone that "there was no way I failed this one." I never am this overly confident. I was hesitent to go online and start applying for jobs because it was what I did the last time. I didn't want to jinx anything...Well one mpnth later I went online and checked...
I PASSED!!!
Now begins applying to be a special education teacher again.
I am sooooo flying high today!
Parker.
