I stole this idea from FutureKOChamp :P Lol, and...yeah, no comment on Extreme Rules. a) I didn't watch it. b) I hate the results :) lol.
So anyway, this is just my Top 5 Superstar and Diva Markouts =)
1.
The Rated R Superstar
Edge is like...so awesome lol. He's my favourite atm, and I'm just a huge fan of his. He's an amazing wrestler, great on the mic, and has everything a good superstar needs to have. If you want to see the best overall superstar package in the WWE right now, look no further than Edge.
2.
The Viper
I love his gimmick right now, and again, other great wrestler. Some say he's 'overrated,' well, on this site, maybe he's overrated as a wrestler, and his mic skills are...boring at times, but I guess that fits his character, the sort of dark, twisted 'Viper.' I'm still a huge fan, and I'm also a fan of The Legacy.
3.
The Heartbreak Kid
Shawn Michaels is simply a living legend. No one can deny his incredible in-ring abilites, and his amazing connection with the crowd. No one can excite a crowd like HBK. He's a great heel or face, and can be still entertaining in the ring and out. I miss him on Raw right now, but hopefully he'll be in some great storylines when he returns. I'm also sick of all this 'Next HBK', etc. No one is the next anything! HBK is HBK, John Morrison is John Morrison. Get over it lol. :)
4.
The Black Cloud
I've always been a huge Matt Hardy fan, right back when he was teaming with Jeff, to now becoming one of my favourite singles competitors. He's great as a heel, I love it lol. But also an awesome face, and having put on some great matches with guys like MVP and Edge. His feud with Edge is one of my all time faves too. Not forgetting he's a future WWE Champ :P His time in ECW was good too, showing that he can work well pretty much everywhere, and with pretty much anyone.
5.
Mr Money in The Bank
I didn't know whether to put Punk or Cena here, but right now, I'd say Punk gets the final spot on my exclusive markout list :P He's a great wrestler, and I love his style of wrestling. He's a guy who's worked his ass off to get where he is, and he deserves every moment of it. Sure, I'm not too happy about his insane pushes, but like I said, he deserves all the credit. A two-time world heavyweight champion, ECW Champion, Tag Team Champion (w/ Kofi Kingston), Intercontinental Champion and two-time, back to back MITB winner. Pretty damn impressive for only being with the company for what...not even 3 years yet? I'm not sure, but however long he's been here, he's made a huge impression. Heel Punk FTW! :D
Now, onto the divas:
1.
Mickie James
Mickie is the complete diva. She's super talented, gorgeous and gets the best reaction since Trish Stratus back in her last run. I guess the whole divas division is a bit of a mess right now, but girls like Mickie could really change all that if the WWE let them. She's been wrestling for years and has a ton of experience under her belt. A four-time women's champ, already, and soon, divas champ =)
2.
The A-List Diva
Melina has been a fave of mine since she debuted. I think she's great in the ring, and her heel character was awesome, she played it so well. I also like her as a face, although she's 'boring' just because she doesn't have much of a character, or hasn't done as many promos as she did when she was heel. But you can't disregard her in-ring skills, and her incredible beauty. Melina is again another 'full package' diva, with everything you need in the perfect diva.
3.
The Glamazon
Beth Phoenix is greatness. She was simply awesome back in 2007, during her feud with Candice Michelle. I loved everything about 'The Glamazon.' I guess now, she's gotten a little 'stale' and her character is...dull. I personally blame putting extremely talented women in love angles for it all lol. Although I marked for Glamerella at the time, looking back, it was like the end of Beth Phoenix for me. She's still one of the best female wrestlers I've ever seen (don't count all the Japanese stuff...I haven't watched that lol), and not forgetting she's one of the WWE's most beautiful divas. :)
4.
Natalya
I totally mark for Nattie. She, in my opinion, is the best pure female wrestler in the WWE right now. She has every quality needed to be great, and she is the future of our Women's Division. Not forgetting, she's the first, and only, 3rd Generation Diva in the WWE, meaning she has a great history with wrestling, and it obviously holds a strong place in her hart.See what I did there? Lol :P Anyway, Natalya is again just the full deal; Smart, Sexy and Powerful :)
5.
Gail Kim
Gail is again one of the greatest female wrestlers in the 'E today. I loved her back in 2003, and I love her just as much now. If only they'd give her that push she really deserves...:( I'd much rather they push talent that hasn't been given the chance before (well, since her re-debut), instead of Michelle McCool, Maryse, etc. So much wasted talent, it's really pathetic. Gail is beautiful too imo, people really forget that sometimes. She's everything you could ask for. I don't see why she's being treated badly atm. Maybe it's just she gets awful reactions lol. I wish people would start caring again, the divas we have now are great :) Back on-topic lol, Gail is so talented, and she's a hard worker by the looks of things. Gail FTW! :)
So there's my little blog thingy. :P Hope you enjoyed lol =)
Wow, can you believe yet another PPV is upon us? Time goes by so fast lol. But anyway, I'll quickly get into my predictions for what looks to be a solid PPV.
Vickie Guerrero vs 'Santina' Marella for the title of 'Miss Wrestlemania' (Hog Pen Match)
I remember all the ranting about Miss Wrestlemania, me being apart of it lol. Of course it was built just for this storyline, but to be quite honest, I'd rather we have no storyline at all. This is just unfunny and boring. I'd be surprised if even a 4 year old was amused lol. This 'match' (or whatever you want to call it) will be short, maybe entertaining, but I just see it being a stupid waste of time. Just a way to fill up the space, I suppose.
Winner: Vickie Guerrero
CM Punk vs Umaga (Samoan Strap Match)
This feud seems really pushed to the bottom at the moment, which is a shame. Both guys are talented, although I'm rooting for Punk here. I'm not 100% on the rules and everything, but I think they just have to touch all four corners of the ring while being tied up or something. I've seen something like it before. Anyway, this should be pretty good, and I like the 'Samoan Strap' theme. I can see Umaga winning this one though.
Winner: Umaga
Kofi Kingston (c) vs MVP vs Matt Hardy vs William Regal (United States Championship)
It may be the least 'extreme' of all the matches on the card, but it's the one I'm most excited for. I hope they give this match a good amount of time, because all superstars in it are very talented. Although I'm not a huge fan of his, I'd rather Kofi keep the title for a while. The WHC/WWE titles are thrown around like trash, so please don't throw this one around too. It's also nice to see both the IC and US title being defended on a Pay Per View. It should be a great match, and I see Kofi retaining.
Winner: Kofi Kingston
Rey Mysterio (c) vs Chris Jericho in a No Holds Barred Match (IC Championship)
This should be great. I'm so so so glad the IC title is yet again being defended, and while Rey isn't doing much as a champion, at least his reign is a good length and there is actually a feud for the belt. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Jericho fan, but I'd rather him not be fighting for the IC title. Tbh, Jeff Hardy and Jericho need to switch around. Jeff as the midcarder, Jericho as the main eventer, because Jericho is the superior wrestler and has the mic skills for the main event, as we've seen before, where as Jeff lacks in both areas, in comparison. That's just my opinion. Anyway, while I'd like Rey to win this, I see Jericho taking the prize.
Winner: Chris Jericho
Christian (c) vs Jack Swagger vs Tommy Dreamer in a Hardcore Rules Match (ECW Championship)
I can see this being a great match. Tommy is supposedly retiring if he loses, I'm not too sure if this is true or not though, or if it's just kayfabe. Anyway, for that reason only, I can see him winning here. Although Swagger winning would be a big upset, and that's always possible in the 'E. As for Christian, it's completly split whether he'll retain or not. This is probably the most unpredicitable match for me. No matter who wins, someone will win, someone will lose. I feel Dreamer winning, and I will be happy not only because he won't retire, but because he's deserved something like this for a long time.
Winner: Tommy Dreamer
John Cena vs Big Show (Submission Match)
I'm not into this feud at all. It seems like there is no feud really. No promos, nothing. Just backstage little things and the interference from The Miz all the time. It just seems sorta off. I think this match will be one of the weaker matches on the card, not sure why. I think Cena will win though, I'd just find it odd seeing him lose lol.
Winner: John Cena
Edge (c) vs Jeff Hardy in a Ladder Match (World Heavyweight Championship)
Ahh, the ladder match. One of my personal favourite matches. :D These two are known for great ladder matches in the past, and hopefully this will be exciting, and a good match at the least. The feud is =/ to me, but the SD main events seem to be getting a little better. Jeff in the main event really makes no sense lol. The rumours about him leaving could be true, or not, so I'm not just going to assume he'll lose because of that. I just think Edge will retain, because if WWE knows anything, it's that Jeff Hardy is not ready for the main event just yet. I don't see Matt invading this one, the only person I can see doing anything would be CM Punk, but I think he'll be leaving the MITB alone for a while. Anyway...
Winner: Edge
Randy Orton (c) vs Batista in a Steel Cage Match (WWE Championship)
Boo. :P Just imagine if Batista and Jeff both won lulz. Course that won't happen though :)This match will be pretty good I think, hopefully we see something interesting this time without an interference from that damn Flair :P I'm still not very excited for this though, I just hope Orton can retain and keep the title till at least Summerslam. I see Orton winning via escape from the cage.
Winner: Randy Orton
There ya go :P
To conclude lol, I'm mad there isn't an actual divas match on the PPV, but oh well. I heard Vince isn't interested in the Women's Division atm, which is really sad. I would've much rather had an entertaining match between Michelle McCool and Melina for the title than some pig thingy lol. But whatcha gonna do...:P
Okay, so I'm like mega tired but this one of those things that needs to be blogged about :P
As pretty much everyone knows by now, Mr Kennedy has been released by the WWE. This doesn't really come as a shock to me personally, but it feels odd having such a 'big' name just thrown out like that, where as if it were say a typical jobber or someone much lower in the company, this heat wouldn't occure.
I was a big Kennedy fan back when he was heel. Then, when he turned face, yeah I was still a fan, he was still a good wrestler...but he was boring and yes, one of the most injury prone guys I've seen in a long, long time.
I just find it pretty insane that he's been out of action for what...10 months? He returns, no one really cares...and he gets injured just like that. Bloody hell! Lol. But let's face it, WWE clearly made the right choice here. There was nothing much left for him to do, and although we need fresh, new main eventers, an injury prone guy like Kennedy shouldn't really be considered for that spot. He's a good wrestler, sure, but damn, he really is injury prone lol. That is just a big loss when it comes to WWE, if you're a talented guy like that. He's charismatic, popular and a good wrestler, but these injuries are just holding him back. I think I'll start to miss him later on, but as of now, I could care less about his departure.
Rumours about it being a storyline...? Well, I doubt it. Although if you think, I mean it does seem pretty rare...or odd to say the least, that a guy comes back like that and gets injured straight away, so who knows, maybe it is, maybe it isn't a storyline. But with Kennedy's streak of injuries, it seems feesable that he actually did get injured.
I don't understand all the fuss on the forums. Seriously, it's not that shocking. Maybe a little weird considering he just came back, but still, it needed and was going to happen. I haven't even seen the movie, but I heard it was pretty lame. Not that it has to do with anything at all, just though I'd throw it in there :P lol.
Okay, so his return sucked. You can't deny it, it was so...dull lol. The crowd were dead. People just seem to have forgotten about him, and then the next thing you know, there's these 10 million Kennedy lovers appearing out of nowhere. Gimme a break people! To be quite honest with you, I really don't think he's anything special. There's nothing else to do with him now but shove him in front of a microphone and repeat his damn name. Like seriously...yawn. He was just extra talent hanging around.
If he wants to go to TNA, good, great, yay. But I don't really care lol. I just think no matter where he goes, he'll still be average, ol'-injury prone Ken Kennedy....Kennedy. Yep, ratings booster right there!
I feel like he was a given a chance. The crowd likened to him quickly as a face, he was popular and he could be a future main eventer. But he blew it all with those darn injuries.
I'm not going into the fact the most injury-prone superstar and most injury-prone diva (Candice Michelle) are both from Wisconsin...It has nothing to do with anything, but hey it's a random little fact :P
So all in all, I don't feel like he's a big loss to the company. I think he's talented, and could've been pretty good, but he was held back by the injuries. Good luck to him though, if he can get around that one...minor issue then he could be onto something good.
Anyway......I'm like really bored so I thought I'd blog =D
My best wishes go out to the entire Hart family during this hard time. Owen seemed like a great person, and he was a great wrestler. You are truly missed. R.I.P.
I'd like to talk about my thoughts on several of the divas atm, so...here we go lol.
Michelle McCool
I used to be a huge fan of Michelle, back in 2007/08. Once I joined Universe, my opinion started to differ. After she won the Divas Title at the GAB, it was like hell's gates opened in this place lol. But currently speaking, she's got alot of talent, and is very pretty. The thing she lacks is well...personality. Her mic skills sound boring and too acted, like there's just nothing there. Maybe it's just her accent lol, idk. But that doesn't make her any less talented in the ring. I'm liking her heel persona atm, with Alicia Fox. I mean, to go from a background diva search wash-up no one cared for, to the diva everyone's talking about, really is something. I'm not going into the backstage BS, because to be quite honest, no one actually knows anything. Internet sites aren't always right, ya know.
Maryse
I remember really disliking Maryse back in early 08. But around July time, she really grew on me. I enjoyed her heel character, and she just had that arrogant style about her. Her wrestling skills are awful though if you ask me. Then, let's say around the time she won the Divas Title from Michelle McCool, everyone dived on the Maryse Bandwagon. She's even been regarded as 'the greatest diva of all time' 'the best female wrestler everrrrr' etc, etc, etc. I guess that's opinion, or just lack of common sense. =X And tbh, her mic skills are pretty poor and irritating to listen to. She got overrated, and fast. She can't wrestle, and about all she can do is flip her hair and act cocky. I'm still a fan, but eh...I'm slowly jumping off this ship right now.
Beth Phoenix
I so mark out for 'Glamazon.' Not the 'Santino/Rosa/Losing to _____' Phoenix. She's an incredible wrestler imo, and combine that with her beauty and charisma, you have the ultimate diva. Beth was great in 2007 as the 'Glamazon,' feuding with Candice Michelle and going on to be one of the most dominant divas WWE has ever seen. She was feared, she was above everyone else. But then, along came 2008 and BAM! It all kinda died lol. I guess her losing to ______ could be to put them over as much better than they really are, seeing as how there's only about 4 or 5 girls who, out of WWE, would actually stand a chance of beating Beth. I really enjoyed Glamerella (Beth/Santino) at first, because it was something different, and we hadn't seen a funny or interesting couple in a while. But at around October/November time...It just got so boring and Beth was being tied down. She seemed alot weaker with Santino. Then Rosa Mendes happened, and I enjoy the whole 'Biggest Fan thing' but they're really not going anywhere with it. Rosa is just pointless right now. Tbh, I'm really glad about the Santina thing lol, because it ended 'Glamerella.' Let's hope Beth goes back to her dominant ways soon.
^^ I was there (h) lol ^^^
N-E-Way...Oh yeah, let me talk about that NBA thing for a sec lol.
So Raw, SD and ECW have all moved to the LA Staples Center, over some Basketball thing. I guess I'll understand it more tonight lol. I find the whole thing pretty pathetic, that they had to move because of a game that could've been moved, where as WWE is MONDAY night Raw, blah blah lol. I'm not 100% certain of the whole thing, so I'll just leave it there lol.
I hope this is a good match. The IC title gets nothing these days, and I hope we see a good feud between these two for it. I'd rather Mysterio win, because he only won the title a while back, and it could do with a good reign. Jericho is an 8 or 9 time champ...? IDK lol, but he doesn't really need another reign to that just yet. I'm thinking Rey will win to advance their feud.
Winner: Rey Mysterio
Big Show vs John Cena
I'm not really excited for this, but hopefully it will be good. I think these two could have a cool feud. But anyway, I see Cena winning, or it will end up in a DQ. I'm just not really feeling this storyline atm.
Winner: John Cena
CM Punk vs Umaga
I'm thinking this will be good. JD is in Chicago, so Punk is obviously gonna do something involving the MITB lol. I think it'd be cool if this was for the MITB Briefcase, but w/e lol. I'd rather Punk failed on whoever he decides to cash in on, but imo it would be awesome if Jeff beat Edge, and then Punk turned heel and cashed in, which would be pretty cool. I'd love him to be heel like in ROH. =) But I'd rather Edge won, and have a good reign lol. Anyway, I see Punk winning this.
Winner: CM Punk
Christian vs Jack Swagger (ECW Title)
I really enjoyed their match at Backlash. IDK if this will be as good, but let's just hope lol. Christian will more than likely retain, but who knows. I would've preferred him winning it now than at Backlash, just to give Swagger a longer reign, although it kinda sucked lol. Anyway, I think these guys have good chemistry in the ring and Christian will win. =D
Winner: Christian
John Morrison vs Shelton Benjamin
I'm really liking this whole feud thing going on lol. Morrison seems over with the crowd enough to be a good face. I can see Haas getting involved, thus fully re-uniting the World's Greatest Tag Team, which would be so cool lol. But I see Shelton winning this, or JoMo getting DQ'd.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin
Edge vs Jeff Hardy (World Heavyweight Championship)
Well, like I said before, Jeff could win and then Punk cashes in, leaving Jeff with like a 2 second reign lol. But I'd rather Edge win, to have a longer reign. This will be a good match, with hopefully Edge winning. Jeff has had full momentum going into this, so it seems more likely Edge will win. Both guys can have good matches together, but IDK what will happen after this lol.
Winner: Edge
Randy Orton vs Batista (WWE Championship)
Guess who I'm rooting for! =D Lol, but seriously, they can put on a good match, even if it is Batista lol :P I hope HHH turns heel, although it seems kinda stupid if he returns already tonight. There needs to be more time. Hopefully Orton retains, and then HHH turns heel later on and joins Legacy. IDK what happened to the whole 'second-gen' thing lol. Anyway, should be a good main event, with Orton winning. =)
Winner: Randy Orton
I wasn't really excited for this PPV, but I kinda am now lol. Who knows what will happen afterwards? I can see all the current champs retaining...idk, maybe a little stupid of me lol. I also love the PPV theme =)
