An Original is Reborn, along with three other warriors claiming gold.

Monday, June 8, 2009, 03:37 AM EST [General]

Last night was indeed phenominal. A very groundbreaking EXTREME night of nothing but EXTREME matches. I damn sure couldn't miss the live blog that took place for this pay-per-view. And seeing the end-result of these battles left me with a wide happy grin, and a stream of joyful tears. Those true to heart ECW fans would agree with me. Sadly I have not experienced ECW as it was when it started, though looking back on it's history through dvds, text, webite info, etc.. has caught me up to speed. So those true blue ECW fans, I hope you will accept me as one of your own now. I am a HUGE Tommy Dreamer fan, and I was truely saddened about his announcement of leaving WWE if he did not win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. But his biggest opportunity for the belt was last night, a night where he could truly show his real side. EXTREME! And last night, once again rose to the top of the mountain. And I couldn't be prouder.  I will confess to the WWE Universe, the dam broke, I cried happily for this man. Real men aren't afraid to admit and/or actually cry in public. I don't care what anyone says. But I cried happily for this guy as he is finally champion again.

In other news, it's obvious that snakes can't live well inside enclosed surroundings, also knowing an ANIMAL is in there with him. Because Randy Orton has finally been taken out and torn apart inside the steel cage last night by Batista, earning him his first WWE Championship! This is truly a major moment for The Animal, after awhile of injury, and not in the title picture much until now, he has rightfully earned his first new major title. Big ups to you Batista. Proud to see you with WWE Gold.

The Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight Championship will truly be one that we will talk about long after the wrestlers we know and love are gone. Just like Jeff said this  past week to Edge. I will never forget this for the rest of my life. And it was great having Edge hung up in the ladder and to make him watch as Jeff grabbed the gold. Then the following that had me question for quite some time.. CM Punk cashing in MITB right after Jeff Hardy won.. then beat him for the title. Now see back when he won it the first time, he just gave Edge a taste of his own medicine. But why on Jeff? I was thinking he would cash in at a later date in a fair fight. Then again consider that both men are pretty strapped after their matches, though still it was a quick title switch. I'm definitely tuning in to Raw, ECW, and Smackdown this week to see what develops. Hope you will all too!

Be ready for later this month! It's Great American Bash or bust, WWE Universe! BE THERE!

The Backlash has struck, and History has been made.

Monday, April 27, 2009, 09:27 AM EST [General]

Well what a historic night! We are over 12 hours removed from the 11th Annual WWE Backlash. Despite the aftermath of the World Heavyweight and WWE Title matches, I was impressed with this entire event. I accompanied over 10,000 fans in WWE Universe for the Backlash live chat last night and we were all pumped! Now I'm sure others are wondering why I'm not all that disappointed. Where here's why. I'm only reviewing the title matches plus the "I Quit" Match.

Backlash kicked off in a HUGE way last night as it started off with the ECW World Heavyweight Championship match. Our #1 Contender from the Championship Chase: CAPTAIN CHARISMA Christian! vs. the All American-American Monkey Boy Jack Swagger. I was getting worried at first as Jack dominated the match at the start but eventually Christian began to gain momentum. It was a crazy flip-flop contest but finally ended on a WONDERFUL note. Christian is now the NEEEWW ECW Champion! His first taste of Major Championship Gold on his return to the WWE and it couldn't get any better than what transpired last night! It's about time Christian got his due and now that belt will be in very capable hands. Congratulations Christian.

We now move on to the "I QUIT" match between the Hardy siblings. What a slobberknocker ( Pardon for the usage of this, J.R. but what else can I say? ) A drag 'em out, hardcore, and brutal brawl these two had last night. Jeff really took it to the limit as did Matt Hardy. Tree of woes, ring hang 'em ups, etc.! Jeff finally got a word in edge wise as he had the right time to.. actually TIE UP HIS BROTHER TO A TABLE?! How sick! He then ascended to a ladder hovering right over the sibling adorned table which finally made Matt "apologize" and utter "I quit!" however this did not hinder Jeff from doing what he had his mind set to do, and that was to destroy this sibling rivalry once and for all. He dived off the table and plowed Matt through even after he spoke "I QUIT". What a match! This was definitely a highlight of Backlash, and a Backlash history moment that the entire WWE Universe will never forget.

Next is the 6-man tag for the WWE Championship. Yeah I was hoping that despite Triple H's team hitting a few bumps along the way would still try to co-exist due to their one goal, to demolish Orton and Legacy. However this did not play in very well as now Orton put in a massive RKO and a Punt to The Game thus cashing in for the title. I was very annoyed with how this turned out. So what now? The Game isn't done. Despite him being carried out on a stretcher, this is FAR from over. watch your back Orton.

Lastly is the Last Man Standing Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. It was a brawl just as promised but then Big Show came out to target John Cena. He chokeslammed him off the stage which played into Edge's favor. So.. let me get this straight, Big Show's on Raw now and he can't quarrel with Edge anymore since he's on Smackdown. what's the deal? Why target Cena? This raises so many questions. But now that Edge is champion he's got someone else to worry about... and he better be read for next month as JUDGMENT DAY is in Mr. Money In the Bank's hometown of Chicago! No place better than to cash in Money in the Bank and face Edge for the title! Now that Punk's on Smackdown, Edge better watch out. Judgment Day is at hand, "Rated R Superstar" You're done.

I'm already pumped for Judgment Day as it is only 3 days removed from my Birthday! And what a late gift it'll be once CM Punk cashes in next month in his home town to score his second World Heavyweight Championship. STAY TUNED WWE UNIVERSE! Judgment Day is upon us! Tune in Sunday, May 17th. Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL for WWE JUDGMENT DAY!

Backlash is TONIGHT! Tidal Wave comin' at ya!

Sunday, April 26, 2009, 03:34 AM EST [General]

Well we're less than 17 hours away 'till Backlash according to my time.  And what a Backlash it has accumulated into! Major rivalries that culminated at WrestleMania is now coming back full force as a major BACKLASH, WWE Universe!

One major match on the card this year is Ricky the Dragon Steamboat returning to the ring in a one-on-one clash with Chris Jericho! Despite what has transpired between Jericho and the Legends at WrestleMania, The Dragon has not fallen! He will face Jericho mano y mano and hopefully put him in his place! That I'm very much looking forward to.

The rivalry between the Hardys are FAR from over and tonight will be yet again an EXTREME situation between the two in an what will surely be epic I QUIT match! No pinfalls, no countouts, just an all out Extreme beat down until I Quit is called by either man! A major Backlash is coming in for Matt as his WrestleMania victory will surely be short lived! And I'm counting on it.

The Championship Chase has ended last week between Finlay and Christian and now Captain Charisma is rolling into Backlash as #1 contender for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. Jack has finally been handed losses thanks to this man and it should carry on to finally resulting in the loss of his undeserved monicer as Champion. I wish Christian the best of luck tonight for putting down this All American-American APE Jack Swagger.

Kane's border-line near victory at WrestleMania has been eating him up apparently as he has a score to settle with the man who had hindered his chances and also WON the MITB ladder match. That happens to be the two-time winner CM Punk. They clash tonight in what will be an interesting match up. Could the Big Red Machine gain a little closure by beating the Straightedge Superstar? Or will it only be "So close" as CM Punk will put him out of victory's reach again?

Now we move on to one main event. For the World Heavyweight Championship. Champion John Cena vs. Edge in a Last Man Standing match. As what was proclaimed by the Champ on WWE Superstars, their rivalry has been called one of the best rivalries in WWE History. As you can tell from Cena's resiliance, a con-chair-to won't take him out. Tonight will be the breaking point for both men, as it will all end at Backlash. Their last extreme encounter was at Unforgiven in 2006 where Cena defeated Edge in his own TLC match. Tonight is yet another major match-up and Cena has all the momentum in my opinion to finally end this rivalry. Bring it home Cena!

Lastly the big one. Six man tag action. WWE Champion Triple H, Shane McMahon, and The Animal Batista vs. Randy Orton and Legacy. The twist? WWE Title is on the line! If anyone from The Game's team wins, he keeps the title, vise versa, Randy wins the title. DQ means automatic loss of the title! Well we all know The Cerebral Assassin has been backed into major corners before, and this is no different. The stips won't make him back down. And of course in recent weeks, they all haven't been seing eye to eye when it came to who should have the most right to face Orton. Though with one goal in mind, they should be able to coexist tonight so they can demolish Legacy once and for all.

A major tidal wave is roaring into the WWE for all who will deal or be dealt with the BACKLASH! Tune in tonight WWE Universe as this will be HUGE!

Supplemental Draft! Shaken to the Core in WWE!

Thursday, April 16, 2009, 01:57 AM EST [General]

What a Supplemental Draft, ladies and gentlemen! I happened to have joined the live blog at the start of the draft at noon today and was I amazed at most of the acquisitions each brand has made! Several more predictions that I made on the Draft Pick game came true. This draft sure shook things to the core! It looked like alot of tag teams were getting seperated! Let's go through some of the picks.

Mr. Kennedy was the first to be drafted and was sent back to Raw! I thought he looked better on Monday Nights and man am I glad to see him back on Raw! Plus we got Shad who was drafted to Smackdown. At first I was thinking the end of Cryme Tyme but found out to my surprise that JTG was later drafted with him! WOOHOO! It's all about the Money, Money, on Friday Nights now baby! YEAH YEAH!

ECW sure got some nice acquisitions. First with Ezekiel Jackson! Former bodyguard of The Brian Kendrick. Now this man really needs a chance to spread his wings and now he has it. A big man like this will shake things up in the Land of Extreme and I'm counting on it. Watch out Vladimir and Mark Henry! Hell you too, Jack. Your ECW Title reign depends on it! The team of Curt and Zack have thus been split as of today as ECW has acquired Zack Ryder! And the possibly Hart Foundation 2.0 has been completed as Natalya was also selected by ECW. Will they form a new stable on Tuesday nights? This would sure push ECW on Sci-Fi in my opinion!

I was also shocked to see that the Unified Tag champions might've been seperated as Primo was selected by Raw early in the draft. I was shocked! Speechless! However Carlito was drafted to Raw near the end and boy was I relieved! Though the most tragic draft pick in my mind was of course when RAW selected Hornswoggle. It's not like last year when they were both drafted to ECW, this time the seperation is absolute. This is awful! Poor Hornswoggle! Another seperation that saddened me was of course Biscuits n' Gravy: Jesse and Festus. As Festus was acquired by Monday Night Raw. How can he be controlled whenever he hears a bell now?!

Also a possible seperation that could've been absolute was of course the Bella twins! Nikki was first drafted to RAW which had me shocked. They did just make up recently right? Well near the end Brie was also drafted to RAW! Woohoo! Identical twins can NEVER be seperated. It's not right! Plus twins like the Bellas are HOT! It's about time they get some Monday Night action!

There were also some picks that returned from wence they first debuted here in World Wrestling Entertainment. Such as John Morrison! He was selected by Smackdown and now he returns to his inaugural starting point. Same goes for Candice Michelle as she, too was taken to Smackdown. Beware, Melina! She's a former Women's Champion as well and you've damn sure got a line waiting for that belt! Charlie Hass was also drafted back to Smackdown. Awaiting is of course Shelton Benjamin! Could they possibly reunite as the WGTT?

Another sweet selection made by Smackdown was none other than Ricky Ortiz! This guy is great and i'm glad he's getting a chance to spread out more in the business. Congratulations on such a pick for Smackdown! Welcome to Friday Nights Ricky. Another shocking pick for Smackdown was none other than DJ Gabriel's dance partner Alicia Fox! Yeah remember that little fling Edge and Alicia had last year? Could it possibly rekindle now that she's on Friday Nights along with him?!

To close out this blog I'd like to state some thoughts of people who should've been drafted and to where.

WILLIAM REGAL to ECW - A brawler from Blackpool England. A real in-ring veteran in the WWE would be great on ECW to give the new blood on this brand someone to really shake 'em up and teach them a thing or too. He would've been great on Tuesday Nights!

MICKIE JAMES to SMACKDOWN - She needs serious competition in the Diva's division and most of it went to Friday Nights! Plus she's a multi-time Women's Champion. She would be a great match for current champion Melina now that she's on Smackdown.

JOHN CENA to SMACKDOWN - Since Friday Nights no longer have a world champion, he would be perfect to return to where he started. His home on Smackdown. Taking the World Title with him. I would love to see him and CM Punk lock up in a title match once he cashes in Money in the Bank. A match of the ages I tell ya! GTS vs. Attitude Adjustment!

UNDERTAKER to RAW - I know Kane was drafted this past Monday Night and people would LOVE to see the Brothers of Destruction again. But quite frankly Undertaker would be great back on RAW because back when he was initially drafted there seven years ago he really shook things up! He made historical moments on this brand. Namely the ladder match between him and Jeff Hardy for the WWE Championship. What a match that was! Along with other historical nights he's made. Plus he would have some serious competition on Monday Nights now as the roster is very well built for RAW.

JEFF HARDY to ECW - I say the extreme enigma would do nicely on ECW for awhile. I'd love to see Tommy Dreamer face off with this guy in a Hardcore Match. They both know what extreme is and I say it's about time they lock up on Tuesday Nights. what a dream match that'd be. Plus a saavy hardcore veteran like him would surely be the man to beat for the new blood that competes in the Land of Extreme.

Well that's all for me! The entire 2009 Draft has come to a close and possibly the biggest draft yet! We now look forward to the debut of WWE Superstars which is TONIGHT at 8p on WGN America! Finlay and Christian face off in the final match for the Championship Chase for Backlash and also a groundbreaking match. Undertaker vs. Matt Hardy! Tune in if you have WGN America and get ready for History to hit Thursday Nights! All brands compete and all wrestlers are eligible to lock up! BE THERE!

The WWE has been shaken up and it's not over yet!

Tuesday, April 14, 2009, 01:15 AM EST [General]

Tonight as Vince McMahon would say: "Things have been shaken up again!" As the 2009 WWE Draft has begun. Tonight we saw 12 superstars get drafted which were decided by matches booked for the live 3 hour Monday Night Raw! We some some pretty groundbreaking changes. First time draftees, and some returning home to their staple shows! Let's review. I am disappointed that they didn't have any announce team draft pick matches tonight. I wanted Cole and J.R. to switch back to their shows. But oh well. Maybe the Supplemental Draft will see to it!

For the first time ever Montel Vontavious Porter our United States Champion has been drafted to RAW as Raw won the first pick of the night! This is the first time ever that the United States Championship will be defended on the Raw brand. And MVP's first time at getting drafted. He was one of my first predictions when I played the draft game! This'll be great! It's time to get Ballin' on Monday Nights!

Raw then got the second pick and it was literally a BIG one! Big Show returns to Raw! I wonder how he'll shake things up on Monday Nights? Maybe tail after Cena again now that him and Big Show are on the same show. We'll just see won't we?

Finally Smackdown got the first pick tonight and it was none other than Women's Champion Melina! She returns to Smackdown and now it's the first time ever that the Women's Title will be defended on Smackdown! Welcome back home Melina!

Once again Raw gained more momentum as World Heavyweight Champion John Cena defeated ECW World Champion Jack Swagger to take in two more picks! Matt Hardy and WWE Champion Triple H! WELCOME BACK HOME TRIPLE H! THE GAME IS BACK WHERE HE BELONGS THANK YOU!!! As for Matt, he's seperated from his brother Jeff. However what transpired tonight has proved that just because of their seperation, won't stop their intense rivalry. What will transpire in the future?

And another one of my picks came into fruition as CM Punk was drafted to Smackdown! This is great! CM Punk on Smackdown! He'll definitely shake up Friday Nights I assure you. Mr. Money in the Bank! Though now that he's away from Cena what will happen? this could go either way.. Either Edge wins at Backlash to bring the world title back to Smackdown and CM Punk repeats last year, or Cena wins, but Punk cashes in on a fair fight to bring the title to Smackdown. Edge got his just deserts last year though when it comes to Cena it'll be a fair battle and a great match in the future. I'm looking forward to the possible outcome. Though we'll see after Backlash.

Next was another match. The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston! Kofi won by DQ and the strange outcome of this was, The Miz which was competing for ECW got drafted to RAW! And after the pick, he left Morrison with a hug.. then a Reality Check! How will The Chick Magnet change Monday Nights on his own without John? We'll have to see!

We had an epic tri-brand 15 man Battle Royal tonight with Edge from Smackdown being the last man standing and taking in two draft picks! TWO HUGE ONES! Kane and Chris Jericho! Kane will be heading back to Smackdown, possibly joining forces with his brother Undertaker again. And this'll be the first time Chris Jericho got drafted EVER. Will he SAVE Friday Nights?

And finally ECW got their first pick for the night and it was the Moscow Mauler Vladimir Kozlov! What a HUGE pick for the land of extreme! I hope he gets a good heaping helping of competition on Tuesday Nights. Welcome to ECW Vladimir Kozlov!

Next up there was another big change. Smackdown's Diva's Champion Maryse has been drafted to Raw! Both female champions of switched and both titles will now be defended on opposing shows for the first time! Welcome to Monday Night's Maryse! Beware you have eyes leering for that title.

And as for our last pick of the night, Jericho defeated Tommy Dreamer to get Smackdown's pick. Rey Mysterio the Intercontinental Champion returns to Smackdown from whence he started! Plus fo rthe first time the IC title makes it's home on Friday Nights! Congratulations Rey Mysterio for making it back home!

Lastly to end out the night, our Main event was booked by Vickie Guerrero. At the start of the night, Backlash competitors Batista, Triple H, and Shane had a bit of a tiff about who should really get their hands on Orton. So a handicap match was made 3 on 2. DiBiase and Rhodes facing The Animal, Shane, and The Game. Whoever pinned Rhodes or DiBiase would face Orton next week. Of course this kinda made it difficult for the trio to work together. But in the end Triple H won the pinfall and will face Orton one-on-one next week. I hope the three can co-exist to defeat Legacy at Backlash which is less than two weeks away..

But things aren't done shaking up yet, WWE Universe. Stay logged to WWE.com starting Wednesday at 12 p.m. ET for the start of the Supplemental Draft! ECW only got one pick tonight which disappointed me but the Supplemental Draft will surely make up for it. So keep your eyes peeled everyone! More shaking up to do starting this Wednesday.
