I know rap sucks now but back in the day like late 70s, 80s, and 90s and early this decade it was hot. Now its not cause rappers all they care about now is money and they use rap to set up other stuff like go into movies, or start their own buisness. They use rap to get their name out so they can do other stuff. Back then rappers rapped cause they wanted to, they wanted to get their voices out to people, let them know what they feel and how they grew up. Rakim, Public Enemy, KRS- One, Ice- T, N.W.A., Tupac, Biggie, Cyphress Hill, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Nas, DMX, Diddy, Slick Rick, Digable PLanets, Busta Rhymes, MC Lyte, Salt N Pepper, ect.

Now its Soulja Boy, Lil Wayne, Gorrilla Man, Goochie Man, Elephant Man, Lil Romeo, Lil Bow Wow, Lil Zane, Birdman, ect.

Rap today is crappy compared to 90's rap. These days, guys like Li'l Wayne, Soulja Boy, Flo-Rida rule the rap airwaves. I mean, Soulja Boy?! WTF.. Rap was great when guys like Snoop, Dre, and 2pac dominated. Today, the only rappers I like are Kanye and Lupe.
