Kandy Rain were the first act voted out of X Factor last night.
Many viewers were surprised to see the group and solo singer Rachel Adediji in the bottom two, a surprise that was mirrored by the judges. Splitting the votes of the four mentors, the decision went down to the public vote. The girls believe they should not have been in the bottom two on the basis of their performance on Saturday night, but think that bad press about their past will have driven away the younger vote they relied on. The group received criticism from Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole for not going away from their controversial image after revelations they had formed after meeting as strippers. Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh came to their defence however with Cowell saying they "deserved another shot". Kandy Rain promised they would "have gone all out" to be even raunchier if they had been allowed to continue in The X Factor. Although mentor Louis Walsh was absent from the show following the death of his friend, Boyzone star Stephen Gately, the girls said he had been in constant contact with them since their departure. |

I came here to say one thing. The twins suck!
Think I ever cared about you? Do care about you? Will care about you? You're all mistaken. I never have cared and I never will care about any of you.

Olly Murs and Stacey Solomon all the way for me
The Twins are the most annoying arrogant little brats i have ever seen in my life. I'm also supporting Rikki Loney as he is from my hometown of Glasgow. This is the best year by far every act with 1 exception has something to offer. Danyl is too arrogant and cocky for me and if he keeps it up the public will end up voting him out, there is no doubt he has talent, but the public need to like the person.

X Factor and Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole will pre-record new single Fight For This Love on this weekend's show
X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole has decided to pre-record her performance of new single Fight For This Love on Sunday night's show - despite the current row over whether or not Alexandra Burke mimed on last week's show. The Girls Aloud star will pre-record the song live for the audience, but before the show starts. Then during The X Factor, Cheryl will sing along to this earlier performance. In stark comparison, within minutes of Cheryl, Whitney Houston will belt out her new song Million Dollar Bill totally and utterly live before the studio audience and the millions of television viewers. Cheryl, 26, told Chris Moyles yesterday that she will pre-record because she doesnt have enough time to get from the judging panel to the stage. She explained: I've got to get out of the chair on to the stage and back in the chair within a certain amount of time, so I haven't got the time slot I need to get back into the chair. And with the surprises that's going on on the stage there just isn't time to turn it around. When questioned over whether her protege and last year's X Factor winner Alexandra also pre-recorded her single Bad Boys on Sunday nights X Factor, Cheryl said she didnt notice whether the song was live or not. She said: I was just so caught up in the whole production and performance, I wasn't even thinking about is she miming or is she not, I was just thoroughly enjoying her entertainment.Alexandra hasn't got to prove herself that she can sing, to be fair, we all know Alexandra can sing. Last year, it was claimed that Girls Aloud pre-recorded their single The Promise before performing on The X Factor. But it didnt stop Simon Cowell from commenting that it was a little bit pitchy. |

Cole fails to save Loney
Rikki Loney has been voted off X Factor, in a show which featured highly anticipated performances by Cheryl Cole and Whitney Houston. The 21-year-old from Dennistoun, Scotland said he had "enjoyed the whole experience" of being on the programme. Rachel Adedeji managed to survive after finding herself in the bottom two for the second week in a row. Loney's mentor Cole said she was "gutted" and could not believe that twins John and Edward Grimes remained in the series. Cheryl Cole performed her new single, Fight for This Love, on the live show. She had previously come under fire for planning to pre-record her performance but backtracked and eventually sang over some pre-recorded vocals. The singer wore a military-style outfit with a red hat and jacket, and black trousers slashed down the sides. After her performance, host Dermot O'Leary invited Simon Cowell to give his comments. He said: "It's really going to pain me to have to say this but that was incredible. That was an incredible routine, great performance and unfortunately you're going to be number one next week." But viewers posting comments on the X Factor website were less charitable, complaining that she appeared to be miming in parts. |
