Both Death and Carcass are vastly overatted in their later prog eras. Death's original Death Metal sound (First 3 albums) and Carcass goregrind (First albums) are the albums that most people don't even know about. Hell most people think Human was Death's first album when in fact they had 3 albums and a massive amount of demos with their original lineup (Kam Lee, Rick Rozz (Who later both became popular for Massacre) and Chuck).


Spiritual Healing is my fave Death album but I love Scream Bloody Gore as well...(as you can tell, my avatar is the cover art from that album)

And for Carcass? I like Heartwork but I prefer earlier stuff.

And kudos for the Sonata Arctica mention.

Lesprosy has to be my fave by them or Meeting Your Arch Angel.

Yeah for me it's the first 3 Carcass albums and that's it. After that, it's wasn't Carcass.

Steve Marriott is also one of the most underrated singers of all time.

Canned Heat

Bob Hite and Alan Wilson were so amazing. I love the powerful bluesy voice of Bob "The Bear" Hite. They also kicked ass at Woodstock!

These are two of the most underrated bands ever.

There are many bands, some of which I've seen listed here, that are underrated.
Sevendust, Alter Bridge, Red, Dark New Day, and Ra are just some of the bands I feel that need to be promoted better than they have been throughout the years.
