Matt Hardy, The Most Underrated/Hard Working wrestler today, will be a WWE world champion?  The only question is, when?

Matt Hardy has been around the WWE since he was about 18 years old, now 35, is one of the WWE's longest standing performers.  Having held 8 different title belts during his tenure (WWE tag team, World tag team, WCW tag team, European, hardcore, cruiserweight, US and ECW) for a total of 13 different title reigns, Matt has cemented his legacy in sports entertainment forever.

Matt began as a tag team specialist with his brother Jeff.  They went from teenage jobbers to hardcore icons in a very short period of time.  Having faught in the first tag team ladder, table and TLC matches the Hardy's have been engrained into the tag team scene since first besting the APA for their first tag team title reign.

Matt has become one of the most popular singles wrestlers today.  I have been to a live show and believe me when i say that the reception this guy gets is deafening.  He has some of the most loyal fans in the business and has become one of the most approachable wrestlers in all of WWE.

Matt's success hasn't been easy.  He suffered a near career ending knee injury that still requires him to wear a leg brace.  That did not stop V1 from returning to the squared circle.  Matt's most recent issue occured during a match with Kofi Kingston and Jack Swagger where Matts intestines burst through his abdominal wall, causing what I understand to be unbearable pain.

While Matt has had his share of the spotlight, he has yet to be elevated to the World Heavyweight or WWE title, and I say its time.

Matt has been a more than solid performer for years, with an uncanny ability to tell a story in his matches and the ability to get a crowd hot with a simple hand gesture in the air.  With the WWE elevating more stars into the main event picture over the last year we are sure to see Matt with a world title shot sometime in the near future, the question is who will he be fighting for the starp.

Matt has proven he can hang with anybody from big guys like Mark Henry, little guys like Evan Bourne, Mat technicians like Chavo, and world champions like Edge.

A feud with Edge could be in the cards but the WWE have had those two go at it so many times that they may want him to wrestle a guy like Chris Jericho, or CM Punk for the title.  Either way, Mattitude followers have been yearning for a Matt Hardy title reign for years, and in this writers opinion its only a matter of time before he reachs the top rung of the WWE ladder.

It is about time that Matt Hardy should get a WWE World heavyweight Title shot! As far as I know, he has never had one1 he is deserving of it!

I have no problem with Matt Hardy getting a title shot, but the comparison you make with the Undertaker is one of the stupidest things I have read on these forums today.  And that says a lot.
