O.K. Notice how guys like Austin, The Rock, Triple H, and Brock Lesnar were over with the fans. You wanna know the one thing they had in common?

Well, not only did they have the McMahon Family to side with, feud with, and help get them over, but they also had edge, and aggression.

What the hell happened with Cena? Back during the "Word Life" era, Cena was cheered, and not jeered. That persona is what made him unique, and it's what clicked with the fans. Then, as things started to grow staler and staler, his gimmick started taking a turn for the worse, when they turned him into a weak superman who gets his ass kicked for the majority of most of his matches.

I don't know how in the world the WWE thought that was gonna click. Who in the hell likes to see lopsided matches where the favorite gets beat down the majority of the time. Seriously, the "overcoming the odds" **** got lame a long time ago.

What the people want is a fresh personality. They don't want to see John Cena spray pain "JBL is poopy" on the side of a limo. They want to see him kicking some major ass! It's shouldn't be about how much of a beating he can take because we're all well aware that he's tough as nails. But it should be about how much of a beating he can dish out.

More and more fans are hopping on the "Cena hate" bandwagon, and pushing him the wrong way isn't going to help matters any.

If he's ever gonna be the future "Austin" or "Rocky" of the WWE, then they need to stop having him play to the children, and start having him play to the audience who saved them from destruction in the first place, and that's the older audience.

The kids do grow up at some point you know, they don't stay children forever. If they need a role-model, you still have guys like CM Punk around who don't cuss, drink or smoke.

Cena does 2 out of the 3.

So, I'm requesting as many people to sign this petition, and I can only hope that this reaches WWE some way. Something's gotta give, and there needs to be a change before it's too late.

I don't want him "saved"...i've been following him over the years not because i like him but because they keep throwing him in our faces. I haven't liked him since he started way back when. You know, when his whole thing was just a joke,a halloween thing. Then it just blew out of proportion. and it gets tiresome o seein him in matches that his opponent usually has to carry it. example, mania 23? him and shawn....god that was awful and it made it worse cause you could TELL shawn was doin all the work. so his in ring work needs a lot of work...A LOT. his mic skills? bleh. he has a few zingers from time to time but thats about it. He/they need to do a whole overhaul on him. Cause otherwise? He just flat out sucks. and if he persists in being the lame @$$ character he's been then he should just quit. no retirement match, no i quit match. Just quit and walk away. Cause he sucks. I've been watchin this stuff for over 20 years and i can honestly say i've never seen such a useless character/wrestler thats stuck around for so long. oh and he definitely needs to stop making movies as well. thanks and thats all i have to say.

CENA KILLED THE ATTITUDE ERA!

Cena did NOT, I repeat NOT kill the Attitude Era. The Attitude Era died long before Cena ever entered the WWE. the Attitude Era was simply a desperation move from WWE to woo the fans over from the rival promotion, WCW. The WWE is at it's best when it is pushed, and back then, it was pushed to the limit, and in came the Attitude Era. Once WCW was bankrupt, and bought out by the WWE, they slowly started to simmer their product down, till it finally hit rock bottom and went P friggen G. >_>

John Cena is only as good as the scriptwriters make him. John Cena is a powerhouse brawler, and WWE refuses, I repeat REFUSES to play on that. They keep forcing him to keep up with this "defy the odds" persona, and it causes him to have to be carried through the majority of his matches, and tonight's match just overly pissed me off to no extreme. I haven't been this pissed since they had him job to Batista at SummerSlam.

Having him show no offense whatsoever, and then have to job on top of that makes no friggen sense. NOBODY CARES about this defy the odds **** any longer. John Cena is not FRIGGEN Superman! He's a human friggen being, with no extraordinary superpowers, and they sure as hell aren't going to get the fans to buy it, as you can tell by the stomach churning disrespect he gets day in and day out, because of WWE's poor excuse at his character development.

O.K., his current gimmick focuses more on himself as a person. That's fine. But the defy the odds **** has to go. The match length beatdowns and escaping victories have to go. Wins/Losses mean nothing in the WWE folks. It's predetermined. But what does matter, is what happens between the time the bell rings, and the scheduled win/loss of the character.

Believe it or not, John Cena has put on some good matches over the course of his career. John Cena HAS wrestling ability that others assume he doesn't, because of WWE's crappy writing. The man shows off moves that he knows out in public, but doesn't use in his arsenal.

He needs to be more rough than tough. They try to make him look fancy with a flashy neckbreaker and a turnbuckle diving move. Cena is NOT a go to the turnbuckle guy. Cena's a ground and pound fighter. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Cena should have the same moveset that JBL has, whether it's stiff or not. JBL and Cena have one main thing in common. They're both physical hard swinging behemoths, however JBL continues to dominate, and Cena continues to get dominated constantly, until we're sick and tired of it, and most of us turn on him.

Alot of people say that they hated John Cena ever since his emergence into the WWE. LIES! His Word Life image is what got him over in the first place, and back then, no boos ever ever heard. Then what does WWE do, they take all that away, and turn him into a child oriented, weak superman with a limited moveset, and "passion." He says that he gives it everything he's got in that ring night in and night out. Bullcrap! If so, he's be kicking more ass than getting his ass kicked.

Let's face it, John Cena is going nowhere. He's a helluva hard worker, and a damn good employee, and he's gonna be in the WWE Hall of Fame on day, you can bank on it. I think WWE takes advantage of his humble do it all attitude, and mistreats him in the creative sense, only using him to draw cash and merchandise.

It has to stop.

John Cena will never be fired, however, with the proper changes, John Cena could turn out to be on hell of a specimen. It's up to WWE, not Cena. Cena doesn't write the scripts, he just acts what he's told to act.
