Austin was one of or THE man that helped revolutionise the WWE into the attitude era, the greatest time in the WWE! Austin for sure.
"You wanna know why I'm the perfect champion? Because you can take the strength of John Cena, the intelligence of HHH, the desire of Cena, the athleticism of HHH, the determination of Cena, the ruthlessness of HHH and if you combine these attributes into one person, you get Randy Orton."
"Maybe some people out there resent the way I speak the truth, maybe some others want the old laid-back Y2J. But I'm not going to pander to the lowest common denominator. My attitude has always been that fans with any intellect will support me no matter what and the ignorant masses will cheer whomever they're told to cheer." - Chris Jericho. |

I dont usually like to follow crowds but... I loved the Austin attitude, 3:16 etc. he was a great entertainer but concerning the fighting abilities probably Hulk Hogan. I hope we get to see Austin on raw sometime.
Proud Australian!

What a funny and stupid question. Both these guys had ego's bigger then they entire locker rooms combined during there respected era's. They both put **** in seats and sold a ton of merchandise. I don't really like either of them bot if I had to choose I would go with Steve Austin on the fact that he could actually wrestle and was probably one of the funniest mic guys in the business. Hogan's refusal to sell moves and put guys over will forever be how this life long wrestling fan will remember him and the fact that the whole Hulking up thing was stupid. Bret Hart, The Undertaker, Shawn Micheals these are true performers of those era's that made wreslting look good. Hell ya

Unfortunately I missed the Attitude Era, So I cannot comment on Stone Cold's popularity, but I can say that if you asked the average housewife if they knew who Hulk Hogan or Steve Austin was, I believe that they'd know Hogan but not necessarily Austin, especially here in the UK. Hulk Hogan is really a household name.

Steve Austin, hands down.
What Bobby Heenan said on commentary during King of the Ring 93, Bret vs. Mr. Perfect:
"...the moves are crisp, they're sharp, they're fast... this is wrestling, this is great!" They don't call Heenan "The Brain" for nothing! =) |
