HOW I WOULD BOOK A DX BREAKUP AND A FACE-OFF AT WRESTLEMANIA

Okay hear me out. Right now I am going to book a WWE angle in which DX breaks up and Triple H and Shawn Michaels square off at Wrestlemania.
So here we are at Survivor Series. The triple threat for the WWE Championship between John Cena, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels. Very late in this very competitive match, Triple H has John Cena in the Pedigree position, but just as he is about to hit the move, Shawn Michaels comes in and hits Sweet Chin Music on Triple H. Cena then recovers and hits the Attitude Adjustment on HBK to win the match and retain his title. After Cena leaves the ring, the two DX members slowly get up. HBK offers a handshake to Triple H, but Triple H spurns him and just walks away. The next night on Raw, Shawn Michaels calls out Triple H about the match last night. He says that he just wants to make sure that there are no hard feelings as it was every man for himself. Triple H comes out in his jacket and everything and tells Shawn that everything is fine. He says he was upset at the end of the match last night and that he's sorry for not accepting the handshake. The two hug, but Triple H suddenly kicks Shawn in the groin. Triple H then takes a sledgehammer out from inside of his jacket and hits HBK in the face with it. He then proceeds to beat him down outside the ring and takes him over to the announce table where he smashes a monitor over HBK's head. Triple H tops things off by hitting a Pedigree on top of the announce table. The next week on Raw it is reported that HBK was hospitalized due to his injuries he suffered in the attack by Triple H, but was released a couple days ago. Shawn is then shown on the titantron to discuss his injuries but Triple H comes out to interrupt. Triple H says he put him out of his misery last week and that HBK should see the writing on the wall and never come back to wrestling. HBK says he doesn't know if he will ever come back but tells Triple H that one day he's gonna get what's coming to him. Enter the Royal Rumble, some 2 months later. Triple H entered at #5 and has survived the whole match so far. The time has come for the final man to enter the match....and it's Shawn Michaels! HBK immediately targets Triple H and starts pummeling him with fists before quickly eliminating him the match. Triple H then reenters the ring to throw Michaels out and the two get into a vicious brawl outside the ring which has to be broken up by several officials. As fate would have it, Triple H and Shawn Michaels both find themselves in an Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber for the WWE Championship. However, early during the PPV, Triple H attacks Shawn Michaels during an interview and HBK has to be helped out by referees and trainers. A little while later, a couple trainers and doctors are in HBK's locker room telling him that he should not compete in the Chamber tonight as he may have sufferred a concussion and badly bruised ribs. When it comes time for the Chamber match, HBK limps down to the ring and looks to be in very bad shape. Despite this, he is able to settle into his pod. Triple H is the last guy to come out to the ring as he will be starting the match with Kofi Kingston. Unfortunately for Shawn, he is the next entrant in the match. Triple H quickly tosses Kofi onto the steel so he can go to work on Shawn. After pummeling him with a ton of kicks and punches, Triple H hits the Pedigree to quickly eliminate Shawn from the match. When all is said and done, Randy Orton escapes the Elimination Chamber with the WWE Championship. The next night on Raw, Triple H cuts a promo where he says last night I didn't win the WWE Championship but I did what I tried to do 3 months ago: end the career of Shawn Michaels. He goes on to say that this time it's for real and that HBK is not coming back. On the following week's Raw, Triple H is in a match against Ted DiBiase to determine the number one contender to the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. Just when it seems that Triple H is going to win, Shawn Michaels' music suddenly hits and he walks down to ringside! Triple H is distracted and turns his back to DiBiase, which allows Ted to hit Dream Street and win the match! Shawn then enters the ring, tunes up the band, and hits Sweet Chin Music on Triple H. HBK then says that he's not going anywhere and challenges Triple H to a match at Wrestlemania. Tell me what you think! |

That's pretty much the same thing they did in 2002. As long as we're at it, let's also have John Cena feud with Carlito over the United States Championship, and have Kane and Matt Hardy feud over wimmin troubles.

Pretty convincing but with the Batista/Rey fued I don't think they would do the same thing with HBK and HHH.

Thanks for the feedback. I know this seems like a bit of a rehash from 2002 but I tried to revamp it a little and make the feud occur for a different reason. Also it would be a huge draw for Wrestlemania.

This sounds good. I just think HBK will get the title soon, Or, I hope. You have all probably heard that the TLC ppv is in Shawn's hometown, and that he will either be the champ going in to the December ppv, or leaving the event with the belt. This would be a dream come true for me. Taker is champ and HBK as champ. There is no greater time in WWE. But, this story could very well come to fruition, no doubt. HHH and HBK will wrestle at Mania 26, as everyone seems to be agreeing about. This will be a good match. But, sadly, Shawn would lose to the Game in March. I just want to see Shawn with the title. Going against Triple H would make this a lot harder for Michaels to obtain and keep the championship. Hunter and Shawn are best pals, but WWE can't ever make HHH look weak. Shawn on the other hand can take a beating and get beat by a lot of guys, without complaining. He has lost so much since 2007. Against Cena, Batista, Jericho, Orton and more. Plus, he takes tough losses at Mania all the time. Cena beat him not too long ago, and Taker defeated him this past April. So... who knows? But, I like this story line. I'd give it a B.

I personally wouldn't want to see another HHH vs HBK feud. They've gone to hell and back already in their matches..there's not really much left the 2 could do together that they haven't done already.
