OK Wait a second as a guy who actually watches New Japan I can pretty much give my opinion here and say while I thought he was alright then, I actually care about him more now. 

He made his debut and while his fanbase isn't exactly the highest amount (though I have come to learn they are quite passionate), he got over quicker than any of the other people being brought up.

He is honestly a completely different character than what most people are really used to in WWE right now, and it's working perfectly fine for him.  He screws up from time but it happens.  I mean if you want to talk about being sloppy and botching a lot he's really not much worse than CM Punk who has probably some of the most awkward strikes and and mis-timed spots of anyone on the entire roster, and I LIKE Punk and think he is one of if not the most entertaining person on the Roster.

He's not so much being pushed down our throats either.  He gets a match on each episode because this is the show where the point is to build up new people, and that's what they're doing.  Sometimes he loses, sometimes he wins.  He just had his first title shot and the match was actually really really fun.

I know you didn't ask me, but I can't really "prove you wrong" because you seem pretty stuck on this opinion.

He's got a good thing going.  I hope he continues to get over.

He loses? He has lost like twice out of 20 matches.

He hasn't been in very long and is already ment to be one of the top guys on ECW but he has done nothing. Basic moves in a bunch of dull matches with noone being able to beat him and there is nothing that says he is any good, besides being the typical Japanese man. I think he should of been built up alot better, not just "kick everyone, now he is the champ."

It seems like he is just floating through ECW.

Yep, he hasn't shown anything to get the push he's getting, that makes people resent him. Especially if he's getting a push over someone who deserves it (like Shelton)
