Well, I was actually enjoying Punk's title reign, but I guess that makes sense.
For the amusement of Cena haters and dismay of Cena marks around the globe, TWDS presents:
THE TOP TEN REASONS WHY JOHN CENA IS RUINING WRESTLING!!!!!!
10. He buries talent with his "invincible" persona. He is put over superstars who often dominate the entire match impressively until the last 30 seconds which result in another win.
9. His programs consist of him getting beat up every single week until he wins in predictable fashion at the PPV.
8. His gimmick, or lack there of, is boring and stale. He's like the generic babyface, and it's rare he has a meaningful fued.
7. His mic skills are sub-par: I noticed it most when he was fueding with Jericho, who just whipped him on the mic and made Cena look really bad.
6. His title reigns are boring beyond belief. WWE is at it's worst when he's got the belt, which is far too often. He can't have meaningful promos and he can't do anything meaningful in the ring to help his rivalries.
5. He can't take a break from the main-event: he's got to be everywhere at everytime. Be it winning the Royal Rumble, winning the title in his return match, etc. he always is the centre of attention unless he's injured.
4. When he does return he ruins the great programs that often occur in his absense (i.e. Jericho title reign).
3. This may be a one-off, but when he does a movie it's like everything suddenly resolves around it. There's vignettes for it 5 times a show plus the commercials in between. I mean, jesus christ I get it's a WWE movie with John Cena but come on!
2. His wrestling skills are mediocore at best. His 5-move John Cena routine is ridiculous. His entire offensive repitoire can be executed in 60 seconds and he has to be carried the rest of the match.
1. He is shoved down our throats to a degree commonly reserved for elected members of parliament. They're trying to bill him as the next Austin/Rock/Hogan but he's not nearly as entertaining or watchable. He is boring in and outside the ring and some compare to Hogan-I believe he's much worse.

Don't mistake me for being a mark, read the post first before the hate ensues.
Jeff had to win last night because the 'E previously stated that they want SummerSlam to be the next big PPV after WrestleMania so they want the biggest matches possible to headline it. So now look at the possibilties other than Jeff-Punk.
You have Rey-Punk, which the only other alternative but Rey's tied up in feud with Zigger at the moment. Chris would be a good swerve but since he retained the Tag Title's last night that rules out a possible face turn for him. Morrison-Punk would be a great match up wrestling wise but Morrison isn't as big a name as Jeff and it wouldn't attract as much interest having Morrison-Punk.
To set-up the match of Jeff-Punk one more time, Jeff had to win because him losing last night wouldn't make much sense of him getting ANOTHER title shot. So with Punk losing he can invoke his rematch clause and get the match at SummerSlam makes alot more sense.
So for SummerSlam to be pushed as close to WM they need a two big names available and Punk and Jeff are the two biggest available. You may not like it but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
Agreed Viva Agreed. For One Of Your Big 4 PPV's. You Have To have Big names Headlining The Show
What makes this different from Night of Champions then, if it's the same people headlining it?

What? JoMo vs. Punk would be good enough for SummerSlam. Hardy didn't have to win. He could of fued with someone else for all I cared about.
For all YOU cared about. Well they aren't focusing everything based on what YOU care about. I agree with Viva, it makes more sense this way.

Feuds are meant to drag on, that's why they are called feuds. Just because you have a short attention span and lose interest easily is not WWE's fault.
I'm not even going to argue with you, as that would just be pointless.

Back to topic - good ideas you got there Viva - am looking forward to see what WWE creative come up for Summer Slam. The whole JoMo Punk idea could work with some work but may take a bit longer for them to build it up.
The irony is - no one reads sigs anyway :P

I don't mind that at all, this feud has been built up really way and for the conclusion to be reached at SummerSlam is a good way to end it.
