Shelton needs a good gimmick that sticks....All his gimmicks have been terrible to say the least and the reason hes probably held back. Thats why people(including myself) thinks he has no charisma..its his terrible gimmicks..the "Gold Standard"? Yeah hes the gold standard alrite...the gold standard of jobbing..

Even Zack Ryder got to beat his FCW opponent the fact that they let yoshi beat him so fast should be enough to prove that hell never be a whc/wwe/or even ecw title contender...the guys been a glorified jobber for years...He has talent/athletic ability but hell never go anywhere

The Gold Standard gimmick wasn't holding Shelton back last year when he was U.S. Champion for almost a year.

It's just recently within the past few months that he's been jobbing.  He's been jobbing for no reason at all.

Last year and early this year, he looked like a legit contender for the WWE Title on Smackdown.  He was also one of the early favorites to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match this year at Wrestlemania.

Hell, CM Punk even said in an interview that the original plan was for Shelton to win the match

If not having charisma would stop you from winning matches, Randy Orton would be on Velocity every week losing to Jimmy Wang Yang.

He hasn't been a glorified jobber for years.  He's been a 3 Time Intercontinental Champion, a 2 Time Tag Team Champion, and a United States Champion.  He's jobbing now, but he's not a glorified jobber.

Shelton could win the ECW title tomorrow, and it would be totally believable.

You say he'll never go anywhere, but few wrestlers in the WWE have done what Shelton Benjamin has done.

He's done everything in the WWE EXCEPT win a World Title.  If he ever did, he would make a great World Champion.
