I know how you guys feel about advertising and whatnot, but I think I can use support from my fellow followers of the standard. I recently became a column writer at this new wrestling website
http://thewrestlingdaily.com/ We're not the typical spoilers/dirt sheet, we're providing good wrestling journalism and analysis. Yours truly grabbed the ECW review column and will be covering our golden standard every week as long he's in the ring throwing down, or in some segment in the show. I'll also be covering Hurricane's fantastic return along with Matt Striker's excellent commentary. If you guys didn't catch him he said.. "From the ashes of injustice rises the Hurricane!" That line alone is better than any line Cole or King have said on RAW on months. Please don't bash me for advertising, just trying to help my new site start strong out of gates and gain supporters. Back to Benjamin business.. I'm not fond of this tag team main event, we've seen it before. Kozlov was randomly thrown into this...what about Zeke? The U.S. title and Diva title were bumped from SS, I'm not so sure ECW will even have a match. The matches are up to six, it looks like SD! will provide the last one maybe including Morrison or something. ECW is going to get bamboozled once again. Given that main event I assume Benjamin will face Ryder again and I hope he wins. Sorry Ryder fans, he sucks, Benjamin should ride over him like Morrison did to him. Undefeated for over a month, but that can't grab a spot on the P25? Geez...well here's too a good night pop-filled night for Benjamin.
People are whining FAIL all over the place, but Washington is just THAT good. How is he wasting time if other feuds gets airtime and progression?
Ryder/Benjamin Goldust/Sheamus Dreamer/Christian Burchill/Hurricane The only show of his that failed was the one with the Bellas and that is because it was his first time, no one knew him or what to expect, and no one cares about the Bellas. I love the how the disdain for Abe is growing, but I see a double standard. When Vickie was hated so much it was because she was a great heel, but for Abe it's because he sucks...sorry that is where many FAIL. Let me break it down for those who are lost: Abe isn't funny, but he thinks he is. He's your average cocky guy with played out jokes and the funny part is that he thinks he's funny when he's not. He's meant to be that annoying guy that gets under everyone skin and he's doing just that. His route was much difficult than Reks, Sheamus, and Yoshi as he has to speak and gain heat rather than just wrestle. He is hands down better than Yoshi and Reks and you can add Sheamus to the list as well. Sheamus lovers don't cry, don't tell me I failed because Abe is more valuable than anyone from the new talent initiative. Abe is has four dimensions unlike his one dimensional new peers. I mean dimensions by the possible routes. Abe can be: Someone's manager/mouth piece A wrestler (Yes, he can wrestler) A heel commentator A GM He's not perfect, some lines are forced and blah, but he's really coming along and has had some gems. "Coming to America sucks!" (Arsenio Hall diss) "I'm the best thing to come to Cleveland since LeBron James!" "The one thing me and LeBron have in common is that we can't wait to leave this town!" "Can I call you Mufasa cause your the lion (lying) king!" (Hurricane/Helms diss) "Ain't nooo stopping me from falling asleep!" (Shelton diss) "The only reason you want to go back to Philly is to stuff you big fat face with Philly Cheese steak sandwiches!" (Dreamer diss) "Really?! Can a brother get a shout out too?!" (Ryder girlfriend diss) "You Dennis Rodman reject!" (Shelton diss) "Your a technician? Could you hook a brother up with some free cable!" "Are you out of your damn mind?! I didn't pay my Rent-A-Center deposit on that couch yet!" "You can kiss my natural black Assssssssssriel!" "Man are you okay?! I know what this is Ashton knew I was coming to town!" (Goldust diss) I watch ECW for Benjamin and the Roundtable, but their third, Abe is second he's gold. I hope after the Christian & Dreamer vs Regal & Kozlov match the faces get a beat down then Zeek comes out, But only to help the heels. Then The Gold Standard's music hits where he comes down to save the day and cleans house. I can dream.
