 This week on ECW, Finlay attacked both ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer AND Christian! As The Dynasty stared down Finlay, The Fighting Irishman lived up to his moniker and shockingly smashed his shillelagh across Christian’s head, leaving him face down in the ring. Moments later, Finlay – who was out of action for several weeks after sustaining an eye injury while breaking up a fight between Christian and ECW Champion Dreamer – explained to Gregory Helms: “Where I come from there’s a little saying – an eye for an eye, and that’s what it’ll be.” Was the Belfast Brawler right to take out his locker room mates? First to gain revenge for a backstage incident where Finlay was assaulted unmercifully, secondly to prove that just like Dreamer he can still hang with the best of today's newcomers.
The obvious reason would be why he's apart of ECW and that's to become the ECW champion and be the leader of the brand. |
