Breaking Report: Jeff Hardy Leaving WWE?

SmackDown wrestler Jeff Hardy has handed in his notice to World Wrestling Entertainment. He has three months left on his contract and is refusing to sign an extension at the current time. They've offered him several separate deals and he's turned them all down as of this point. It's being said that he is very burned out and looking to do some other things outside of wrestling, so there is a very good possibility that he won't be renewing his contract when it comes due this summer. This could explain his losses to his brother in recent weeks. |

If Matt goes over at Backlash I willl believe it. It would be sad to see jeff go though. Also if he does go I think for his credibility that should be it in wrestling for him, no going to TNA or comin back in a couple of years.

I would be a little wary with going to PWInsider.com. I just went there and was clicking on different news stories, and then, all of a sudden, my anti-virus software went off, saying that there was a virus and suggested that I abort the connection, which I did.

"Since a few Elite subscribers asked me for a text version on the Jeff Hardy story I broke this afternoon on my Elite Hotline, here is what we know:
*Numerous WWE sources have indicated to PWInsider.com that Jeff Hardy's WWE deal is up in the next 2-4 months and the company is actively scrambling to sign him to a new contract. We first heard the story a week after Wrestlemania. *Thus far, Hardy has not been receptive to any of the longer term deals the company has offered. *In an out of character move, WWE went as far as to actually offer Hardy a one year deal just so they can lock him in for the time being while working towards a longer deal. We have heard Hardy has not agreed to that idea either. *I am told that Hardy's situation has been the primary reason his feud with brother Matt has been booked the way it has. Matt has been getting the victories in order to strengthen him and devalue Jeff if Jeff is going to end up departing the company. *The belief is that Jeff isn't looking to go to another company (at least openly) but is more looking to live life on his own schedule. i dont get why he would leave yet. He just came off a world title run, massive matches an great rivalry with his brother and he wants to quit? I know he wants to focus on his own things but if i was in his situation i would be extending my contract for as long as i could.
