Perhaps he is, but if he ends up beating Couture and the winner of Nog/Mir, nobody can say he's not a legit champion.

On a side note I find it funny that he's getting this title match too soon when in his WWE career he got a title match 5 months into his career. I guess that's just how he works.

I think that Brock should have more non champion matches/ main event matches, but if he wins, hell I won't be mad or anything

Even though I think he can win the fight, I think it is a little too soon. They should have him fight Werdum first, I think.

It's gonna backfire on him either way. If he wins, people will still hate him for coming from WWE, but if he loses, he loses all the momentum he's been trying to build up.

But yeah, he should've fought Kongo then probably one or two more wins and then I could see him as a credible contender.

Isn't Lesnar only 1-1? I think he's getting a title shot a little to early.

He isnt getting a title match too soon just for the simple fact that lets just say that Lesnar does beat Randy Couture that doesnt make him the official UFC Champ because he would still have to face the winner of Nog vs Mir and then the winner of of the Interim title would face off against against Lensar (if he won) then the real champion would be crowned. This is a genuis move by Dana White. Couture is one of the top names and biggest draws and look at the PPV's Lesnar has been in they have done phenomenal in PPV buys so this match would make sense to have. Couture is getting old and there is no sense on having Couture fight against no names and even though Lesnar is still new to the sport his hype is huge this is a perfect match and should be one of if not the biggest PPV's in UFC history.

I think it IS a little soon but most it seems that Dana is simply trying to cash out before plans go down the drain, meaning, he rather get the big pay day before brock loses momentum and before something does wrong with couture(again). I personally like Brock but honestly, like a couple of people on this thread i would have wanted to see him in a couple more non-title fights. Dana, Couture, Lesnar will get payed and we'll see a pretty damn good fight. Can't really complain.
