Was anyone else really annoyed by the fact they had to remind us they got Hogan in the company every second they could?

Duh. Plus it was more like 151 times they must've put that in. Seriously if your gonna plug it so many damn times why don't you just have that be the entire show. They act like no one knows so they have to plug it every 3 seconds to remind everyone. I'm shocked they didn't pause each match and have each wrestler mention it atleast once before continuing.

If they go one with that next week I will cry myself to sleep.
it is one thing to get a nice new thing.........but if you harrass everyone by telling them every 3 fuc king seconds it just turns into a point of contention. Really annoying, especially since he is not supposed to be on screen. |

It's the typical Hogan promotional machine at work. Hogan has always been insecure about his limitations, therefore we must hear every item regarding Hogan fifty times more than average in order to compensate for his ego.
It was the same self-important manner of promoting that was at work during the 90s, when Tony Schiavone reminded us that Hogan was wrestling in the main event in every match leading up to the main event. The prevailing notion at work here is that excess counts. In case the fans have forgotten Hogan since the last time they were forced to endure his bald orange mug (or in case they don't care), invoking the almighty Hogan's name again and again will cure that. The problem is that Hogan---and his minions---have always deluded themselves into believing that, were he a rotting red and yellow corpse, fans would still pay to see him. |

I have watched 2 interviews of Hogans and I think I read a couple and at few times he has talked as if he was going to wrestle. On Larry King ( I think the HBK skit was better than this interview) when TNA was mentioned he turned focus on him going to Australia for a tour to get his sea legs back. In another interview he mentioned that the WWE wanted to put him to pasture but pay for the Hulkamania rights. I still believe Hogan going to TNA as McMahon calling his bluff, as Hogan has played the going to TNA card back when Jarrett went to Japan and the WWE bit and he went there instead.
There has been other interviews or might have been the same ones where he admitted to needing money because of the divorce and the car crash that left Nicks friend to basically be a vegetable. Also I think Hogan could talk the Devil out of giving him Hell because he could bring more people, but thats just me. |
