Hogan's last great match was at WM18 against The Rock. He's always going to do his routine. People pay to see him do that. They don't want him to change.

...that match sucked dude.

no it was great with the crowd reaction, even in ring action wasnt bad, summerslam 05 hogan, hbk sucked.

bischoff is great he knows what hes doing and i hope he doesnt make the same mistakes he did with wcw.

Dude, the in ring action was horrible, some of the worst in ring action I have ever seen at a Wrestlemania event, an extremely overhyped and incredibly overrated match, I'm shocked that we still have people calling it "great". I don't give a damn about the crowd reaction, there's no way you can say the in ring action was good and at the same time call yourself a wrestling fan. The in ring action sucked, plain and simple.

Making pro wrestling all about the 'wrestling' aspect and not the other aspects like promos, mic ability, etc. is why WWE's ratings are in the gutter. Pure wrestling won't ever sell unless it's Japan. In America, we want what we saw in the 90s. Stone Cold sucked as a wrestler but he had great mic ability. Hogan, the same. The Rock, mediocre and great on the mic. And so on. Want to see pure wrestling? Go watch high school wrestling.

Um, these days, if the wrestling is going to suck, no one is going to watch it. I think Hogan vs Rock sucked, simple as that, and I could care less about how the fans react to the damn match, as long as the one thing that I'm actually watching is boring as hell, I'm not going to think of this match as "fun".

Plus I'm not asking for "pure wrestling" I never was asking for "pure wrestling" I was asking for great in ring action that will keep me entertained and Hogan vs Rock did a awful job in terms of in ring action.

Stone Cold was not a bad wrestler. He was actually good. Why don't you actually watch some of his great matches and you'll see otherwise.

Plus, Hogan's mic work was terrible, he is without a doubt the most overrated on the mic ever, there is no denying that. Seriously this guy never entertained me at all on the mic.

Hogan not entertaining on the mic?

He was shouting all the time, as if he was mad at somebody.

He had his catchphrases (which was what made many late 90ies promos so repetitive, unlike the really good Foley promos or what Jake the Snake could do on the mic [that man never got loud, he always was calm and still more intimidating than 10 steroid freaks raging around could have ever been]) and was all about the roids... I mean vitamins and little Hulkamaniacs.

He always came over as some cartoony big guy, whom I did not even take seriously as an 8 year old.

Well, Jericho, I have to agree. Hogan was the average big man shouting on the mic. But is there any sense in discussing such matters with somebody who still thinks Hogan is what modern day wrestling needs?

Face it people, WWE is not the only thing out there.
Promotions I also/preferably watch (some of them a lot, some of them a bit):
TNA, ROH, PWG, Chikara, DGUSA, CZW, SHIMMER, NWA/WCW, wXw, NJPW, AJPW, BJPW, Dragon Gate, Pro Wrestling NOAH

Great to see someone mention The snakes promo work, they were truly amazing pieces of work, alot of people don't realise how calm and soft spoken works a hell of alot better then shouting randomly. people can at least understand whats being said lol which is why i could never like the warriors or hogans promos, brother

I'll ask Hogan, if he takes his "vitamins" against his high blood pressure, cause shouting does not impress me^^
