(Sorry its long but I tried shortening it down as much as I could...what can I say? I love writing)
ECW CHAMPIONSHIP ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA JANUARY 27TH Jack Swagger celebrats his victory over Matt Hardy at the Royal Rumble saying how hes the future of ECW. Tommy Dreamer comes out and challenges Swagger to an ECW Championship Match. Swagger refuses the challenge because Dreamer is past his prime and should step aside for the younger, better and stronger athletes like himself. Dreamer stops Swagger and says he isn't an athlete "I'm EXTREME!" and beats Swagger up. Swagger escapes the ring and the two have a stare down. Later tonight, Teddy Long announces the ECW match at No Way out will be a Fatal Four Way match with the ECW Championship on the line. Tonight, we'll have three qualifying matches to see who gets through. Jack Swagger isn't happy and has to put up with it if hes to be the champion. Finlay defs. Chavo Guerrero to advance, The Boogeyman defs. Mark Henry via count-out to advance, after Henry didn't want anything to do with the bizarre Boogeyman. The final match is Tommy Dreamer vs. Ricky Ortiz, but its slated a no contest when Jack Swagger comes and attacks Dreamer with the ECW Championship, he later attacks Ortiz who tries to save Dreamer. The current champion stands tall over them both. FEBRUARY 3RD A second chance Fatal Four Way match has been booked for tonight, with Tommy Dreamer, Chavo Guerrero, Ricky Ortiz and Mark Henry all having a second chance to enter the No Way Out main event and join Boogeyman and Finlay against Jack Swagger for the ECW Championship! Tommy Dreamer wins the match by smashing a steel chair over the head of Mark Henry, which was brought in by Tony Atlas for Henry to use on Dreamer. Dreamer and Ricky Ortiz celebrate the win but Jack Swagger returns to attack the two again, this time hes only successful against Ortiz as Dreamer grabs Swagger and throws him out of the ring. ECW Officals and medical team tend to Ortiz as Tommy Dreamer stares a hole through Jack Swagger, he meets the ECW Champion at No Way Out! FEBRUARY 10TH The last stop before No Way Out and in a warm-up match we'll see Tommy Dreamer take on Jack Swagger, one-on-one in a non-title match. Tommy Dreamer exacts some revenge by defeating Jack Swagger for himself, Ricky Ortiz and all of ECW. Swagger leaves the ring but forgot about his championship belt, he goes to get it back but Tommy Dreamer has it in his hands. He challenges Swagger to enter the ring and take the ECW Championship from him. Swagger turns the offer down and leaves Dreamer with his ECW Championship...for now. NO WAY OUT, FEBRUARY 15TH Jack Swagger defs. Tommy Dreamer, Finlay and the Boogeyman to retain his ECW Championship! Swagger later gets a downed Tommy Dreamer, lays him on the announcetable, grabs his ECW Championship, climbs the top turnbuckle and LEAPS OFF OF IT, ONTO TOMMY DREAMER WITH HIS BELT CRASHING DOWN ON THE RIBS OF DREAMER!! ECW Officals and medical team tend to both men but Swagger is the only one showing any signs of emotion...his award winning smile. Is he proud? FEBRUARY 16TH Monday Night Raw and Rey Mysterio is being interviewed, hes interrupted when Jack Swagger attacks Rey Mysterio from behind and leads him to the ring. A referee meets them in the ring and it looks like we have a match on our hands, Jack Swagger beats Rey Mysterio around some more before finishing him off with his signature move and getting the 1-2-3. Jack Swagger has defeated Rey Mysterio, was there a point to this? FEBRUARY 17TH Its announced on WWE.com that Tommy Dreamer has sustained injuries from Jack Swagger's post match beating at No Way Out and will be out of action for some time. Jack Swagger, the current ECW Champion, celebrates his victory from No Way Out as he retained his ECW Championship and defeated ECW Original Tommy Dreamer, along with two other ECW Superstars! He also celebrates his victory over Rey Mysterio, a former ECW Original. Jack then makes it his mission to search and destroy all ECW Originals and former champions and then he'll be the greatest ECW Champion that ever lived. FEBRUARY 20TH Jack Swagger invades Friday Night Smackdown and challenges Tazz, of all people, to a match. Unfortunatley for Swagger, Tazz hasn't wrestled for a while and refuses to step inside the squared circle with the champion. Swagger won't take no for an answer and pushes Tazz, who pushes Swagger back! Everyone wants him to get in the ring and knock Swaggers head off, Jack even beckons him to come in. But the Big Show makes an appearance and challenges Jack Swagger to a match instead, considering Big Show is a former ECW Champion himself. Tazz encourages Big Show to knock Swagger out but the current ECW Champion leaves the arena. He doesn't want any of Big Show. FEBRUARY 23RD Jack Swagger returns to Raw and challenges Chris Jericho, a former ECW Wrestler, to a match. Jericho appears but refuses to wrestle Swagger but only because he hasn't held as many championships as Jericho has, including being the 2008 Wrestler of the Year Slammy Award Winner! Swagger slaps Jericho across the face, this gets Jericho to fight as he sees he must beat some respect into Swagger; "You've got alot to learn before you can call yourself a champion...junior!" Big Show appears and frightens off Swagger, giving Jericho the countout victory. Will Big Show ever get his hands on Swagger? FEBRUARY 24TH Big Show is invited to ECW to face Jack Swagger in a non-title match, but if Big Show can win the match he'll get an ECW Title shot sometime down the line. If Swagger tries to get out of the match in any way he'll be forced to forefit the championship. Big Show defeats Jack Swagger and earns himself an ECW Title match. General Manager Theodore Long comes out and announces that match will take place on the next Smackdown (Vickie Guerrero granted the match). FEBRUARY 27TH Jack Swagger defeats Big Show when he sends Show's head into an exposed turnbuckle. Before the end, Swagger got in Tazz' face again when he overheard the former human suplex machine talk trash about him. Once the match was over, Tazz jumped the announce table and into the ring but an exhausted Swagger high tailed it out of there, not wanting any part of Tazz. MARCH 3RD Jack Swagger lists his accomplishments; beating Tommy Dreamer, Rey Mysterio and Big Show, all ECW Originals and former champions and all were beating by him! Jack Swagger then proclaims himself as the greatest ECW Champion of all time! Tazz makes a surprise appearance tells Jack he aint even started yet! SABU, THE SANDMAN AND ROB VAN DAM all make a surprise appearance and say Jack Swagger needs to beat these ECW Originals and former champions before he can proclaim himself as greatest ever champion! Jack attacks Tazz which invites Sabu, Sandman and Rob Van Dam to enter the ring and beatdown on the champion, sending him a message. MARCH 10TH Jack Swagger defeats The Sandman by rolling him up in a schoolboy and holding onto the ropes. Sandman retaliates by hitting Swagger with his cane and pouring beer down him. MARCH 17TH Sabu defeats ECW Champion Jack Swagger with the Arabian Facebuster (sans chair) for the victory. Even though he defeated Sandman last week, things aren't looking good for the ECW Champion. MARCH 24TH Jack Swagger defeats Rob Van Dam via Submission, however, Swagger refuses to break the hold which forces the referee to reverse the decision, therefore Rob Van Dam defeats Jack Swagger! Swagger lets go and gets in the referees face, shoving him down to the mat, Swagger then goes to finish RVD off but the ECW Originals come racing down to the ring. Swagger leaves the ring and begins to walk up the aisle when TOMMY DREAMER makes his return to ECW and throws Swagger back into the ring! All ECW Originals beat up the champion and hit their signature moves to prove a point and to send a message to the current ECW Champion! All ECW Originals stand side by side and triumphant as this episode of ECW comes to an end. MARCH 31ST Tommy Dreamer wins a Over the Top Battle Royale match to earn himself another shot against Jack Swagger's ECW Championship at Wrestlemania 25! The rest of the ECW Originals wish him good luck! WRESTLEMANIA, APRIL 5TH Jack Swagger defeats Tommy Dreamer to retain his ECW Championship in a shocker of an outcome. Earlier in the night, the match was made an Extreme Rulez match and both competitors made good use of the weapons around the ring, from steel chairs, to the steel steps, to the ring bell and the ECW Championship itself. Both men were bloodied and beaten but at the end of the day it was the future of ECW that prevailed but no doubt Jack Swagger is a changed man from this encounter and will hopefully hold the ECW Originals in high regard. After the match, Tommy Dreamer extends his hand to Jack Swagger, shouting "be a man!" to the current ECW Champion, who eventually returns the offer. Can Jack Swagger live up to his words and become the future of ECW? Only time will tell. No Signatures Needed
