Batista not only turned heel, but turned on his loyal fans (like myself) by attacking Rey Mysterio. This was tastless of The Animal to do that to his "friend" all because Batista "took his eye off the ball" during the closing moments of the match.

If you compare his promos when he's a face character to when he's not, you'll see he's much more intense and expressive as a bad guy. Honestly, I was getting tired of the smiley, friendly, teddy bear version. He's "the Animal" - he SHOULD act like one.
Also, you'll notice the bad guys don't put forward half as much physical performance in terms of quantity. This should help Batista to avoid another untimely injury. Seriously, he needs to stay on the radar for longer than a few months at a time if he wants to stay relevant and doing as little as possible for the most impact (as most bad guys are good at) is how he has to stay healthy. Just a theory. And I HOPE Cena goes the same way because this cheerleading act he does with the fans is getting on my last nerve. In the words of my friend in Scotland, "he did my nut in." What's gonna be interesting is HOW they handle the turn if it happens... |
