Lets face it the matches were not only short but it was poorly written/executed. The worst part of the whole night was the way JBL went out and lost. Total BS. Cena winning was also bs for 1 reason. Wrestlemania serves 2 purposes.. Its the grandest stage to finish rivalries or start brand new rivalries. This case it was big show vs edge rivalry that was suppose to be finished.. Wrestlemania doesn't keep a story line going.. Its the foundation of a new story line or puts old ones to rest. Hardy match was fair but to short.. expected more "extreme" considering they both are extreme.. Seemed like an average match. No expectations were really met/exceeded. HHH and orton was boring to me. I love HHH and I love orton but this match needed to be a street fight or something. To much lead up to this match and it was such a failure of an ending. So anticlimactic. HBK vs undertaker was by far the best match of the whole night. Can't say anything bad about this. This is the pinnacle of what wrestlemania is.. Where you leave it all on the line and give it everything you got. No match even came close to leaving it all in the ring like this match did. Diva battle royal was to short.. No over the top rope made it awful, We didn't even get to see our favorites return for 1 night only. Im still at a loss for who was all there that isn't a wrestler anymore. I have to go on WWE.com just to find out who participated and I watched the dam thing live.. Thats how bad that was. I did love the ending however, That did make that match worth it. Well entertaining ending. Tag team match was a dark match? HELLO wake up WWE. You need to announce this **** beforehand and let the fans know.. A unified tag title match I don't care who was in it, That has to be televised! No dark match for the DVD. That was complete BS. Santino vs Santino never happened.. Or maybe it was a dark match as well? Never heard anything on this. Santinos casa specifically stated the monkey santino did accept the wrestlemania invite. I didn't hear anything on wwe.com from anybody who attended it live or anything on this. What happened with it? MITB this match was fair at best. it had a few good moments but there was no blood, no real hardcore giving it your all type of atmosphere. It really lacked and seemed way to short. Horrible ending to the match to. It just lacked content in the match. With exception to kofi and shelton saving the match with a few of their moves, this was really a poor match. Jerichos match was alright. Its what i expected out of retired hall of famers. Didn't like jericho taking so many bumps early in the match but steamboat really shined in the stage. Made the other 2 look horrible. Given his age and ring rust, I give this the 2nd highest mark of the night. Next to HBK vs taker. Overall again its a D. This is for a wrestlemania PPV.. This isn't the pinnacle of a 25th year which should be on a higher standard. I actually would demand a refund on this PPV. I definitely won't buy any PPVs ever again at this rate. the WWE product has gone downhill and it is fading in what the industry really is. Its gone to G rated, to corporate and lacks any content and/or true wrestling anymore. The realism isn't there anymore to care to watch it, Its what makes the wrestling product come alive is when you can believe in it and live in the moment and cheer your favorites.. WWE for the past few years has gone downhill. This is a cornerstone in watching the WWE fail. |

Ups: Taker vs HBK - WOW MITB - Shelton Benjamin and Kofi Kingston = Ultimate highlights In the middle: Hardy vs Hardy - Could have been better... was kind of just a huge spot fest Legends vs Jericho - Should have just been Steamboat and Jericho Divas Battle Royal - Funny ending, match was too confusing Downs: Triple Threat Match - Not because Cena won, but the match was just not that entertaining to me Rey vs JBL - I was pumped to see this match, unfortunately it didn't turn out the way most of us planned WWE Champ match - Too... boring. I'm sad to say that lol

jeff vs matt-c+ jericho vs legends-c(steamboat saved it) jbl vs rey-f divas battle royal-f it was a complete insult and full of botches like i said it would triple threat-b I liked it though it had its dull points undertaker hbk-A+ great match hhh orton-c- horrible ending HHH countered EVERYTHING and sold nothing overall c

B, only 2 problems with it, Kid Rock was there performing (more like Kid Sucks!) and the match between jbl and rey was over in seconds.
what would have been my solution, easy, throw Kid Rock out of the arena, then the rey / jbl match could have been a couple of minutes longer that or else not have this diva battle royal (no point in having it, no womens title on the line). another solution to make others rate it higher is put takers streak against a title instead of mr wrestlemania (would have been an exception if one of them were champions coming into the match.)
