This match ***1/2 A good opener for this show. Essentially a hardcore match, with some good weapon spots. Finlay's suicide dive through the ropes made this match, especially since it was met by a knock in the head with a metal object. Hornswoggle got an incredible pop from the crowd with his introduction. He was a little underused, but took a nice hit with a garbage can from JBL. JBL's pinfall victory was a surprise, but it ensures that the program with him and Finlay will continue. It's been done well so far. Look for a rematch at Backlash in Baltimore.

I'm glad JBL won, even though I think that means they'll be more to this feud - which was kinda sudden and a little boring. The match provided a good starting mood for the event, especially having Hornswoggle come out a little after Finlay for an added pop. |

I felt that clothesline from hell all the way in Manhattan Beach! WOW! Good choice for an opener! They got to brawl in total daylight...what's more exciting than that?! I know, throwing a garbage can at little Horny! Poor thing...I did want Finlay to win, however when JBL won, I was happy that he didn't attack little Horny. |

Hornswoggle getting hit with that trashcan was hilarious. I thought he'd be more involved in the match. I was pleased though. JBL's a good guy deep down. I know it. |

I barely watched this one. I was disappointed that it was during daylight, but it was cloudy. I was hoping for sunshine with this one. It would have fit with Hornswoggle's uplifting music. |

It was my pick to be the first match, and I am glad it was...It was surprisingly entertaining, especially when Finlay slid through the ropes into a slap in the head by JBL with a garbage can lid. I felt that pain as well...Finlay wore it well. I like JBL's crass character, and his nose in the air, I'm better than everyone else...His entrance music suits his style, and even though he could be annoying at times, I see him as humorous. The match was definitely a brawl and a great adrenaline rush for the rest of the night... |

There was no blood in this match. How can you have a Belfast Brawl without any blood? There was no blood at Wrestlemania at all (except Ric Flair's busted lip). I feel a little cheated.

No blood at all. What a waste of time. If you're going to use weapons, you got to have blood. Otherwise, what's the point?

I wasn't too mad that there was no blood in the belfast brawl. I was more upset that flair's whole head wasn't red by the end of his match. although, i guess it made it classy for his end. |
