What an upset by CM Punk! I was truly pulling for Kennedy to win the match to go on to win the WWE Championiship! He had a new look for gameday (sexy facial hair), and a mouthful of enthusiasm to share with Kim K before the match. However, the match looked a little bit too staged with wrestlers resting on the outside until their cue to enter the ring came up...It was like: enter, 2 min brawl, try to get briefcase, fall, exit, opponent tries to get briefcase, enter someone else, and so on...I am anxious to see what CM Punk has in store for us with his intentions for use of the briefcase... |

Yea, I would've loved to see the Kennedy prophecy come true and have him challenge Taker and beat his streak at the end of the main event. But I'm satisfied with the CM Punk victory - interesting to see what he'll do. My only criticism is that overall, they should have more real wrestling in the beginning of the MITB matches... before they start the spot after spot competition with the ladder in the middle of the ring. Creative routines could be thought-up elsewhere involving ladders, tables, etc. Big props to John Morrison, Shelton Benjamin, and Carlito because they impressed me more than I thought they would. Jericho, Kennedy, and CM Punk were great, but I already had great expectations for them. MVP - not so much. He's a funny talker, that's about it. |

This match ***** Including Money in the Bank in Wrestlemania was a great idea, and this MITB may have been the best of all. It must be getting harder to come up with original spots for match, but somehow they pulled it off. Shelton Benjamin's spill onto a ladder on the outside neck-first was spectacular. John Morrison is basically a made man now with some of the high-flying he pulled off in the contest. Chris Jericho's lion tamer on top of the ladder was a fantastic addition. The multiple near grabs close to end raised the suspense. Matt Hardy's interference was a nice surprise return of the likes we haven't seen in some time. And CM Punk was a nice choice as the winner. I can see him somehow being transferred to "Monday Night Raw" to challenge Randy Orton at some point. What a program that would be. The confident heel champion versus the straight edge superstar.

I am thrilled that CM Punk won the match. I do not think he is going to stay on ECW with his prize, but I do think that he is going to be eased onto the RAW spectacle. I think it is time to hype up Punk, and give him some of the more well-know names in the business to compete with. I would not be surprised to see a Punk/Orton feud (I would have to root for Randy, however), or even a feud with Jericho for the IC belt, just to prove himself a worthy contender for the top prize. Who knows? Shoulder pat to Punk, and I am excited to see what is in store for him soon. I actually wanted MVP to win because he is simply a great performer, but again, I am satisfied with Punk's victory. |

One thing that bothered me about this match was the lack of work outside the ring. As soon as the bell rang, the competitors went straight for the briefcase. While that may be realistic, realism is not what I tune into WWE for.
There were some great moments in this match, but I liked the one from Wrestlemania 22 better. |

Since Matt Hardy came out to ruin MVP's shot at the briefcase, why couldn't DDP come out and pounce on Jericho? This match was a disappointment for me because I wanted to see someone like Morrison or Benjamin win and gain some popularity with the WWE. Even though Morrison didn't win, I'm sure that he will be looked upon in a brighter light, for his hidden talents have shown throw in this match. |

This match was incredible. I thought Shelton Benjamin was dead after the fall he took. You can see that they saw off the ladders to give them more play. But still that Shelton Benjamin move was SICK! |

It would've been cool if they came down with a stretcher to take Shelton out of the match after his fall. It sometimes is unrealistic when we don't see certain wrestlers for 10 minutes and then they just pop in when necessary. I think a cool way to hold a money in the bank match would be people have to get eliminated by pinfall, submission or injury, until there are only 2 participants left. Then those 2 have to climb the ladder for the briefcase. |
