This match **** I wanted to give this match three and a half stars, but I think it's being overshadowed by the spectacular show put on by Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels earlier in the night. This match was still good and lived up to its spot as Wrestlemania main event. Even if it was a perplexing choice as such. There was some great drama near the end, especially with a new referee running a full football field to get in the three count. There were some multiple kick outs. It was missing a bit of X-factor. The idea of promoting the match as simply the World Championship versus the streak may have caught up to WWE. When it came down to it, there was no storyline to pull from to put the match over the top. Still, the show worked and it was fun to watch. Undertaker will make a great World Champ again. The rumour is he was supposed to have a long reign as champ when he beat Batista at WM23, but that fell apart when 'Taker was injured. Now, it looks like 'Taker might take his reign all the way to WM25. And btw, 'Taker's entrance was breathtaking as usual. I loved the oscilating fire and the old-school leather smock.

Flat out: Should not have been the Main Event AT ALL...PERIOD. Started off very slow, and continued to drag out...Taker wouldn't pin, Edge wouldn't pin, Neither of the two would pin the other soon enough. I was getting frustrated at this point, until the Edgeheads made an appearance. I thought that with the referee down, the Edgeheads would have made an impact on Edge winning the match, but that didn't even happen. When the Undertaker pinned Edge without a referee, I became annoyed again, and then just started laughing when the replacement ref took 3 hours to run down that 25 mile long ramp. The match was not at all entertaining to me, and I wish it would not have gone last... |

I wasn't impressed. Undertaker is great but I think I was just very disappointed that it was the main event. Makes no sense. The triple threat WWE championship match was clearly at a higher level. World Heavyweight is supposed to be a little bit less than WWE title. That being said, I'm sure it was a decent match. I'm biased. |

I disagree with Kevin completely. Undertaker IS wrestlemania. What better ending is there than Taker posing in the middle of the ring holding the title up in the dark blue lighting. Aesthetically beautiful. |

T-Rev, you are so wrong...Shawn Michaels is Mr. WrestleMania, and so Undertaker is NOT WrestleMania. I thought Edge had him in that match, and he would have so long as the EdgeHeads would have been useful to him. Edge put up a good fight, kicking out of a chokeslam and "Old School." If he would have been a bit quicker on pinning Taker, he would have ended the streak. I wish Edge would have just gotten himself DQed so he could have kept the belt. I feel like Edge tried so hard to end the streak, and he wanted to do it without obviously getting himself DQed. I hope the Undertaker's reign as champ ends on Friday Night SmackDown. |

Dude, I so thought Edge was going to win this match. It's time for the Undertaker's streak to end. It's been too long now and it's getting predictable. Taker's pyro was lacking too. It wasn't all that special. |

The Undertaker is superior to Edge, so of course he won that match. I was hoping the dead man would bring back his raven from Wrestlemania IX, but I was sorely disappointed. Still, this was an amazing match, befitting of the main event at Wrestlemania.

The match was dragged out a bit too much. I really thought Edge would ruin the streak, but then I thought Self, Undertaker is going to be renown in WWE history for being undefeated at WrestleMania; therefore no one will be him, EVER! I liked that the Undertaker learned a submission move, just another tactic for battle. I like innovation, but I would have loved to see the return of DDP at some point in this drawn out match. |
