Hi again. Yes! I actually came back on today! I'm so happy about that. I don't know, it's weird, I really don't feel all that bad right now. Ugh, but I always hate it when this happens. I start feeling good for no particular reason and then I crash and burn harder than ever. Oh well, may as well try to enjoy it while it lasts....
So, as I said in my last blog, I was happy to see Jericho win the Heavyweight title at Unforgiven to become a four-time world champion. Jericho has certianly worked very hard throughout his career as a whole, not just as a wrestler, and he deserves another nice championship reign. Grant it he did also deserve what he got at the hands of Shawn Michaels, but never the less, his winning of the championship is not a contradiction of worthiness or an injustice in my eyes.
Also, who could forget Matt Hardy? If anyone deserves a championship reign this year, it sure as hell is him. Quite honestly I can't think of a more determined guy in the professional wrestling industry, and there's absolutely no question that his title win was easily the sweetest victory of the night at Unforgiven. I truly hope that Matt has a nice, long reign as champion, and goes on to win more major titles in the future. Heck, if Matt can stay champ long enough, we might see Jeff cash in his chance at major gold as well against The Game at say, No Mercy, and the Hardy's dream of being duel champions as brothers could finally come true. I can't think of anyone who wouldn't love to see that happen! Never the less, getting back to Matt, I'll be watching him closely from this point foward, and like I said, his championship win would be even more satisfying to Matt as well as his fans if he can have an enjoyable, worthy reign as champion.
So, it looks like Kane might be going back to masked Kane soon, huh? I for one am all for it. Kane has always been very entertaining with and without the mask, but it's been quite a while since we've seen him with his trusy "face". From the way I look at it, as menacing and scary as he is without the mask, I've always felt that he's even scarier with it. I think it's because the mask hides his indentity so to speak, and it brings about that allure and mysterious spookiness that makes him all the more intimidating. Plus, the mask itself is pretty scary looking, and with that dark long-haired wig that's attached to it (or that at least was attached to it), he could easily be mistaken for that sadistic serial killer on the loose (or at least your creepy next door neighbor). So, yeah, Rey Mysterio had better watch his back all week leading up to next week's show. I love Rey Rey, and I hope he survives the wrath of Kane, but I'm also keenly looking forward to Kane potentially transforming into his good old psychotic, schitzofrenic self.
Apparently Jericho is going to face Punk next week in a cage for the Heavyweight title. That should certianly be something to see, and I can only hope that Punk is physically up to the challenge after suffering the wrath of Orton at Unforgiven.
Well, this has been a pretty good entry I think. I'm hoping to watch The Rock DVD set tonight, and now I'll need to get out sometime and get the Mr. Perfect DVDs. There's always something WWE related to do. Oh god, speaking of which, I'm also gonna need to get Dish network or something, because my **** cable service doesn't have MyNetwork TV OR Sci Fi! Damn! Ugh, so annoying. Oh well, hopefully when I "make the switch" to satellite or something, I'll be able to receive all WWE programming instead of just Raw and SmackDown. There's so much to do, I hope I can get it all done in time.
Until next time,
Michael
