My friend the TheNinjaFawell, is writing a blog on the Small man vs. the Big man, well worth reading. This won't quite go all the way there, more a commentary on ECW.
Fazwell wrote a blog on ECW and a potential 'change of brand' so to speak. (an extreme brand - Jeff Hardy drafted there would help)
Here's what i'm starting to think they are doing. I'm done talking about cruiser weights, you may think it can work, i do not. However, here's something interesting. Look at all the smaller in ECW look at how over all these cats are getting. Punk, Kofi, Shelton, Chavo, and now Evan Bourne. This could be an interesting direction for them. Test out how they fare against the larger dogs, Kane, Knox, etc. I'd mention Big Daddy V but i don't know how well he works with smaller men.
Again Fazwell can go deeper into the small vs big match, but my philosophy is this. Looking back. The smaller wrestler CAN climb the mountain. The smaller wrestler CAN do the impossible, once, twice, maybe three times, but to stay on top of the mountain is another question all together. however, it's the journey we love. Watching Mysterio go over and pull off the upset against wrestling gods and legends always gets the crowd roaring. but when they fall ...... wow. It's as good as ANY movie or any tv show i have ever seen. WOOOOOOO!

In honor of the upcoming San Antonio show, here is something you don't hear everyday in the fine town of San An Tone, "YEEEEE HAAAAAAW, that was one heck of a batmitzvah!" (SP)
Have you ever seen that many blonde haired, blue eyed, wrestlling fanatics in your life?!?!?! Of course they love Kennedy. (No hate on SLC just saying ... That's a whole bunch o' white. Like a sea of white flesh! Even Ron Simmons was like ..... "DAMN"(off camera 'that's a lot of white people. you can hit em with the DAMN tonight, Boss') All joking aside .... On to the match.
It's tough to pick a match of the night with the million dollar giveaway format. (Tough for me anyway) It would also be very easy for me to say, THE GAME rules. THE GAME dominates. We already know that. He owns. If you haven't noticed, I try and focus on the future of my favorite TV shows, not just tell you how sick they are.
Remember for a moment, before his break, Kennedy went over Michaels, twice. That's a really big deal, to me anyway. At the very least it makes me watch this guy with a different set of eyes. I would love to see a draft where Kennedy and MVP end up on the same night with some beef. He's a real solid worker. sells big, skin bruises, cuts easy, maybe a bit smallish but he's like a dog with a bone once he's on you. With the right style, smaller men can get over. (punk, mvp, mysterio, hardy, hardy II, etc)
I don't know if this was the match of the night, but i would love to see people take note of Kennedy and help get him over. He has the goods and needs the opportunity to pay his dues to one day be great. (i hope)

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
Jericho calls after Flair, "Aren't you supposed to be retired???"
Just read the Lena Yada article on her and her father. Thoughts and prayers to Kiyoshi (Lena's father) 20 years living with that and still kickin' a$$. Stay strong. Send some love out here to the west coast for Lena and her pops Kiyoshi. Read the article (home page. right side) READ IT! Stop reading this right now. No, stop. DUDE, stop reading this! WOO!
I admit this. I saw these guys on an ECW card and knew they had great chemistry, so i was already planning on calling this the Match of the Night. I had no idea .....
MVP comes in, (with no pyro, weird) PUNK enters to big time heat, but equal hatred toward MVP. Jerk of the month. However, and I quote the great REGGIE JACKSON, "Nobody boos a loser." CM Punk may be Mr. Money in the Bank but MVP is straight Money. Story line is getting very Chad Johnson but MVP can really sell a promo, so I'm in. Punk shows some great form. (rolls through moves so fluidly) Now here's the best part. I'm not sure how many minutes they gave them, but WOW!!!! WOW!!!! I never checked the clock. VINCE, I BEG YOU, MORE MATCHES LIKE THIS!!! I know the rosters are big but these two guys were incredible. This reminded of the old school PPV matches. the matches that were built for endurance and just straight pain. After the initial onslaught MVP put on him Punk came back and really matched up well as far as aggression. (truth) But MVP took it to another level, (with great sells from Punk) He looked like an assassin. Devastating that shoulder. Over and over. Thank god for Tivo to zip through the commercials. (although hulk game looks cool) Unique end to the match as well, and all this after he asks for a contract re-negotiation. THAT is how you earn your money. BUST IT UP BUST IT UP!!!!
On this date in 1945, Beth Phoenix's innovative legislation ended the great depression here in america. she also wrestled three times that night (all title matches) and was 3 - 0. She also makes a mean lasagna.
Also on this date
In 1993 the late Yokozuna won his second title from Hogan. He maintaned a 10 month reign.
