Hello all WWE Fans! Just like the title of my blog, I am going to talk about how "Pretty Freakin' Great" RAW was last night. I love 3 Hour editions of RAW because something interesting usually happens! Nothing in particular stands out about last night's RAW but the show as a whole was pretty great. I do have to mention though, that I only got 6 out 14 Slammies right. :( But I still liked the show. :)
First award of the night was Tag Team of the Year. The winners, who I picked to win...hehe...were John Morrison and The Miz. I really don't care what anyone says about them, I think they are a great tag team. In all honesty, I think the team is carried by Morrison but you can't forget that The Miz has improved so much since he started. I mean, really! After their acceptance of the award, Morrison went one-on-one with CM Punk in the Semi-Finals of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament. I knew from the beginning that this match was going to be quite interesting because both Morrison and Punk are phenomenal athletes! After a while though, this match was a little difficult to watch when Punk fell awkwardly on his ankle. It looked very reminiscent to Evan Bourne's fall that has him out of action for a number of weeks. CM Punk not only finished the match, he won! He goes to the finals at Armageddon.
RANDOM NOTE: Next was a John Cena promo. Usually I cannot stand to watch Cena's promos but this one was great and quite hilarious! :)
Candice Michelle and Cryme Tyme presented the second award of the night, Best Finishing Maneuver of the Year. Other than Undertaker's Hell's Gate, I had no doubt that this award would go to EVAN BOURNE's Shooting Star Press! I mean, not only is this move amazing to watch and quite dangerous, Bourne makes it look flawless! So congrats to Evan Bourne...before Mike Knox came out to take the award. Grrr....cut your beard, MAN!
Seriously, Charlie Haas is the MAN! This week he comes out as "MVC" (Most Valuable Charlie) to face MVP. I couldn't believe it, Charlie Haas, or MVC I should say...beat MVP! Congrats! haha... speaking of winning, another Congrats is in order to Charlie Haas on snagging a Slammy for Best Impersonation as "The Glamahaas". I bet Charlie was worried he might not win that one. HAHA
Extreme Moment of the Year was presented by Matt Hardy and Tiffany to The Charasmatic Enigma, Jeff Hardy for his Swanton off the RAW set back in January! I totally wanted that one to win! Jeff Hardy then goes to the ring to face Chris Jericho. This match was also pretty great. Just like the Punk/Morrison match, I knew this was going to be good because they too are awesome! Near the end was the best part of the match when signature moves were flying all over the place. Hardy's Swanton Bomb to Jericho's Lionsault...Whisper in the Wind, attempted Twist of Fate...only to end with Jericho hitting Hardy with the Codebreaker. Even though Hardy lost, I thought this was a great match.
Kane and Kelly were out next to present the Couple of the Year Slammy to Edge and Vickie...UGH! Are you kidding me!? I seriously thought Glamarella had this won! SIDE NOTE: Who else noticed Milena Roucka in the crowd for the 3rd week in a row holding a sign for the Glamazon? :) Oh, and whatever happened to the storyline of the "cheating Edge"? Ugh, I so thought Edge and Vickie were over! Seriously, what more can they gain with this stupid "relationship". Santino and Beth did come out to express their anger over not winning Couple of the Year. They challenged any of the nominees for that award. Finlay and Hornswoggle accepted. Honestly, I didn't pay much attention to this match. After it though, Melina and Teddy Long came out to present Diva of the Year. I thought it deservingly (is that a word) went to Beth Phoenix. Although, I hoped Mickie would win it. Beth made her way to accept her award after dropping Santino (HAHA). She said a short llittle acceptance speech only to turn around and push Melina. After stepping out of her heels, Melina attacked Beth where she accidentally pushed Beth into Santino where she hit him in a "certain place" that made his voice REALLY high and made him want to throw up! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Next up Alicia Fox and Joey Styles presented CM Punk with the "OMG Moment of the Year" for when he cashed in Money in the Bank and became World Heavyweight Champion. I seriously thought John Cena's surprise return at the Royal Rumble was going to win that. At least I remember thinking "OMG" when that happened. Hehe. Punk tells the fans that he will sure have more moments that make us say...he goes backstage and pulls Joey Styles back out and repeats what he said. After a little pushing and reminding Joey that they were in Philly, Joey Styles yells "OH MY GOD!" :)
Next was the other Semi-Final Match in the IC Championship Tournament. This time we see Rey Mysterio vs Kofi Kingston. Jerry Lawler described this match perfectly..."fast and furious". Rey wins and goes on to face CM Punk at Armageddon.
Eve and MRRRRRRRR.....KENNEDYYYYY...are out next to present Match of the Year. HBK accepted the award for his match with Ric Flair at Wrestlemania 24 which in my opinion, definitely was Match of the Year! JBL came out halfway through Shawn Michael's speech and takes the award. HBK stands there looking ashamed. I really don't like this HBK/JBL thing. I guess it's because I really don't like JBL. Nobody likes a bully, you jerk!
What was supposed to be Batista vs Triple H turned into a match teaming up The Animal with The Game to a hanicapped 2 on 3 match against Cody Rhodes, Manu and Randy Orton. Unfortunately, I was distracted and didn't get to see most of this match but I know Orton, Rhodes and Manu won.
Surprise, surprise...The DAMN! Moment was presented by Ron Simmons accompanied by Mickie James. I was bummed to see Khali Kiss cam win the award because Santino attempting Melina's entrance certainly was hilarious to me and I'm sure it had a lot of people saying "DAMN!" haha Before it was all over, Jillian was out there singing a horrible version of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On", Kung Fu Naki and Howard Finkel also joined to start waving in unison to Jillian's song. They were also then joined by Sgt. Slaughter and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. But the thing most people probably remember was when Khali and Mickie walked up to each other and he picked her up and kissed. Not only did they kiss, it was a whole lot of making out! First Eve, then Mickie James....Khali must be pretty happy!
Next match of the night was Slammy Award winner for Best Musical Performance, R-Truth to face Dolph Ziggler. Just an okay match. Oh, and I don't care how many times he introdues himself as "Dolph Ziggler"...he'll always be "Nicky" from the Spirit Squad to me! haha
Last Slammy of the night was presented by Stephanie McMahon. Superstar of the Year went to Chris Jericho. I was sure he'd win this one. I was really hoping Jeff Hardy would win but I guess his 60-day Suspension earlier this year didn't help him.
John Cena faced Edge in a Champion vs Champion match. I was glad to see Edge actually wrestle this time and not have someone jump in the ring on Vickie's orders. I thought he did really good. The match ended when Jericho ran down and Cena jumped out of the ring and attacked him. A few seconds later, Triple H ran down and attacked Edge followed by Jeff Hardy! I just love it when there is chaos in the ring! Before RAW went off the air, Edge had been chased to the top of the entrance ramp, Jeff was standing between the ring and the entrance ramp and Triple H stood in the ring. I hope this isn't a kind of foreshadowing meaning Triple H will stand tall at Armageddon and win the WWE Title. I really, really REALLY want to see Jeff Hardy win! Hasn't he gone long enough trying to win it? People are going to get tired of seeing him try. They should just let him have it already! I really think he deserves it!
Anyway, great Slammy Award edition of RAW! The award show portion of the night was quite entertaining, even if everyone I wanted to win, didn't. Also, the matches were very good. On a scale from 1-10...I think I'd give the show a 9. Pretty great but not perfect. I'm not even sure what I'd consider a perfect show. But anyway, that is what I thought of RAW last night, what did you think?

I love the title of your blog and I have to agree with it as well... Mizorrison are a great team. They're solid in the ring, they have good teamwork, and both are great on promos. They can also draw heat well. I agree that Morrison pulls a lot of weight for this team but, you're right in saying Miz has improved. I couldn't bare to watch him before but, now he's become far better than he once was. He's gained a lot of experience in that team...I missed most of Cena's promo so, I can't really comment on it...Bourne really deserved the Best Finisher award, I've never seen anybody do the SSP better than he does...I have a feeling Mike Knox is going to become the next Snitsky. Why don't they understand that this isn't working?...Charlie Haas is great, I've always liked him even though no one else seemed to before. He has a lot more charisma than people think and that has always been the knock against him. I'm just glad he's getting a chance to do something...They need to get MVP off this losing streak, he's one of their better wrestlers and they're putting him to waste right now...Jeff definitely deserved that award, that was the most extreme moment without a doubt. The match was great too, Jericho and Hardy could have a great feud for a World Title in the future if given the chance...I noticed Milena...Couple of the Year went the way I thought it would but, not the way I wanted it to go. I hate the Edge/Vickie thing, it's getting soo boring...I liked that Beth won diva of the year but, like you, wanted Mickie to win. Poor Santino, getting hit in the "certain spot" as you said, haha...The OMG moment really surprised me because Cena's return was legitimately an OMG moment because no one expected it. Punk cashing in WAS expected. Hearing OMG from Styles was nice and nostalgic, hehe...Match of the Year was a no-brainer. The JBL/HBK thing is really weird and I don't like it nor do I like JBL...The 2 on 3 match was okay, nothing outstanding though...Weird things all around for the DAMN! moment but, I will say this: Khali is a very lucky guy...Dolph Ziggler is a dumb gimmick, enough said...Jericho deserved Superstar of the Year, he's been having a great year...I would have like to see Cena and Edge have a nice 30 minute match but, we wouldn't get that on Raw...Jeff Hardy really deserves the title now, not later. He's never been better and his stock has never been higher. Give it to him for a day, I don't care, he just needs a chance with it for once in his life...It was a great show, I'm not sure what I'd rate it but, it was pretty awesome!...Another great blog! Really well thought out, it really went into detail about everything. Good one once again Fefe, I can't help but enjoy what you write! :)
