Well, tonight's Saturday Night's Main Event wasn't all that interesting. It was a good way to get people involved in Generation Rescue which I hope was a huge success.
Tonight's Saturday Night's Main Event consisted of 3 matches. First of which was an 8-man tag team match. The first team included John Cena, Batista and Cryme Tyme. The second team included JBL, Kane, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. I'm getting bored of seeing all of these men being put in matches together. So, I was bored of this match. This first match was won by JBL who picked up the win for his team after pinning JTG. Not much I can say about this match.
Ugh...Next match had Khali versus Jimmy Wang Yang. Hmm...who do you think won this match? Since Jimmy is basically a jobber now, Khali obviously got the win in this one. Khali is such a bore. Evertime I see Jimmy Wang Yang wrestle, it makes me madder and madder that there is no longer a Cruiserweight title! He is so entertaining!
Last match of the night had my favorite wrestler, Jeff Hardy against Edge. I thought this was going to be a good match. It wasn't. Okay, it wasn't good but it wasn't bad. One entertaining part of the match (even though my favorite guy got hurt) was when Jeff Hardy did that sort of flip off of the steel steps but Edge moved and he hit the security barrier. I wish Jeff didn't get hurt but it was a pretty good move to watch. I also love watching Jeff do that move that I think Jim Ross said was a "sort of sit down powerbomb". It just looks so cool. Anyway...MVP ended up interfering in another Jeff Hardy match by kicking Jeff in the head and running back into the crowd. So, Edge won the match. Grrrr....I can't wait to see these guys face off one-on-one. Not one face wrestler won tonight. Upsetting. :(

SNME was pretty uneventful in terms of angles but I thought the 8 man tag and the main event were entertaining in and of themselves. They probably should cut it out with the multi-man tag team matches on RAW. It's been overdone this past month. The thing I liked about the match was that referee Mike Chioda was on his game. He was right on top of who the legal men were when the donnybrook broke out. He was right not to count JTG's pin on DiBiase, who wasn't the legal man. Usually the referee's just throw it out the window and count whomever, but for once, Chioda made the technically correct call that JBL was legal and DiBiase wasn't.
Steve BarnesJeff Hardy and Edge tend to bring out the best in each other. The upside down bump Jeff took into the barricade was insane. Just when I thought I'd seen it all, Jeff does something unbelievable where you fear for his safety. (Which incidentally is one of the things MVP calls him out on. That's the curse of Jeff Hardy. We love his risks but those same risks are what cost him.) I'm surprised it was his knee that was he was selling and not his neck. But I'm glad he didn't break his neck on that bump. People tend to only get into Jeff's matches when he's on the offense, flying around and taking crazy bumps, and tend to overlook how good he is at making whoever his opponent is look good. Edge is the same way. Edge is going into the main event of Summerslam in Hell in a Cell so he has to get the win, but once again they protected Jeff by having him lose because of MVP's interference, which builds more towards Jeff vs. MVP. In that way, the booking was solid and I can't complain about it. It's frustrating to have to sit through Jeff Hardy going down to both Khali and Edge in the same week, but when they decide to pull the trigger on Jeff Hardy going after the WWE Title later on, they'll all be laying down for him. That's how wrestling goes.
