It was the D-O-Double G rollin' into RAW this week with an "it's not personal, it's just business" frame of mind. DX rattled off a few "izzles" which was hilarious but when Shawn told Hunter to shut his mizzle, I lost it! And so did Team RAW! The team consisting of DX, Big Show, Swagger, Rhodes, Kingston and Henry all look great together. The Seven Dwarfs and The Little Rascals all pale in comparison to Team RAW! Each man has his own agenda, ego and reluctance to play well with others. If the rambunctious rag tag band of men can hold it together and work with each other for just one night, RAW might stand a chance. As it looked Monday night, Team SmackDown has the upper hand. There may be new talent on board but with one goal circling them, they may just get the job the done. SmackDown can and will take advantage of RAW's animosity and prove to be the dominant brand after all. Looks like DX has got their work cut out for them!
Through my unique perspective which could be a little off these days, here's how I see the Randy Orton/Ted DiBiase relationship. Ted said Randy would've done the same thing, pinning him, if he had the chance last week. The truth is he's absolutely right! Randy SO would've taken advantage of that opportunity and Orton even knew it. This isn't so much a budding feud, more of a test really. Maybe Randy's ultimate plan for DiBiase IS to have Ted beat him! It's all about respect for Randy and what better way to show The Viper respect than to beat the man who has trained and guided him so far. It would prove he's ready. It would prove Randy taught him well and if he's capable of beating the WWE Champion, than he's definitely capable of beating anyone on the roster. DiBiase is almost there! He's almost ready to leave the nest for bigger and better things. We want it FOR him. He's just got to take the plunge. Randy gave him the choice. But Ted knows that if he does decide to break free, he better go after Randy with both barrels blazing or else another RKO may be on the menu! Not so easy making the decisions when you have to make them yourself, is it?
John Cena faced Triple H in what could've been his last match on RAW. I don't know how wise it was to put Cena OR Orton in matches with a 60 Minute Anything Goes Iron Man Match just around the corner but Cena and HHH gave us something to remember. Triple H won, yes, but it took 3 Pedigrees to do it. How's THAT for a message??
Snoop surprised us when he brought Marty Jannetty back to square off against The U.S. Champion, The Miz. The Miz was able to showcase his Skull Crushing Finale on Jannetty but Marty proved he could still rock his way around the ring and into our lives again.
Chavo Guerrero accompanied Jillian Hall to the ring for her rematch with Divas Champion Melina. So, not good for Melina, right? The two had a longer match than last week but still the current Divas Champion stays that way. Of course, Chavo tried to pull one over, Hornswoggle thwarted Chavo's ill conceived plan, and The DOGG himself had to get involved. He got some Gangsta Luv on Chavo and partied with the DIVAS! Homie Hornswoggle can move! Damn!
Chris Jericho wanted to start the great divide early so he brought out his team to face Shawn Michaels? No, Team RAW was close at hand to level off the playing field. After a brief standstill and Vickie Guerrero's annoying "excuse me" interruption, total chaos ensued and the battle was underway. What is it with those Guerreros anyway???
