Hey everyone!
It's Labor Day. This blog, however, is hardly labor because I get to write about the new Intercontinental Champion, John Morrison! That match stole the show, ran away with it, came back and did it again! It was unbelievable and everything Morrison and Mysterio had was left on the mat! It was one of the best, if not, THE best Intercontinental Championship matches I've seen in a long time. The much talked about Dolph Ziggler was watching from a safe distance to scope out his competition for Breaking Point and what a match it will be! I can't wait. John Morrison is rising very quickly, hopefully not too quickly, but enough to get the locker room noticing. He is the here and now as well as the future. He stayed patient with himself, focused and in control. He's the epitome of "If you can dream it, you can achieve it." Bottom line: Morrison worked for it, was rewarded and will represent!
Big sportsmanship, Big congratulations! Great match!
Let's get back to Dolph Ziggler for a moment. What game is he playing with Maria? Is he playing a game at all? He's got my interest peaking in and out of the ring. Does Melina know more than she's letting on? Or, does Michelle McCool have something nasty up her sleeve? Good stuff. I'm hooked. I hope they keep this drama going. Speaking of the Divas, I was impressed by all four ladies in the tag team match. Layla and Natalya make a pretty dominating team. Layla hit some vicious moves and she was the one who caught my attention the most. Natalya, always one for doing damage, got a hard clothesline on Maria! But you have to give it up for Maria and her courage. She will not back down and doesn't shake easily. Although her partner Eve is athletic as hell and probably the stronger wrestler of the two, you mustn't underestimate the heart of Maria! Good match. Woohoo!
The Great Khali & Finlay teamed up to take on Kane & Mike Knox. It was a colossal match and a colossal win for Khali and Finlay. Of course, I wonder what the shelf life is for a shillelagh.
I thought Mr. McMahon looked very manly in his pastels!
R-Truth was assaulted again by Drew McIntyre. We have a ring crasher! I repeat. We have a ring crasher (using my best Scottish accent).
Thank the Lord for Matt Hardy! Timing is everything. One Hardy's exit is another Hardy's entrance and not a moment too soon! Matt Hardy was all business. Not only did he wake me up from the long winded lecture coma I fell into but he also hyped the place up! CM Punk came out dressed as Jeff Hardy mocking all that Jeff is about. He's definitely not out to make friends. I am a heel lover. That's not a secret if anyone has read any of my blogs. However, at least ONE redeeming quality allows me to connect with a heel. Punk has none. He is starting to relish the satisfaction of delivering pain. That, in itself, is an addiction. So, in my eyes, he is becoming a hypocritical heel. That's even worse. He's got a taste for it. He treats it like a friend. That kind of addiction can lead him down a different kind of dark road. Maybe that's why the Undertaker is making his presence known. There's only room for one dark presence. However, Matt is not about to let Punk out of his sight either. Punk has got a bulls eye on his back. Who will get to him first? Straight Edge might prove to be more toxic than anything else.
Love it! Bob Barker tonight! If you read, thank you! Live chat tonight. Yes!
